Noodle Art is a newish stall in the West Patio section of the Farmers Market, where it's been slinging handmade Chinese noodles since sometime last year. If there's been buzz about it anywhere, it certainly missed me. I only found it because I was hungry at the Grove and it had solid Yelp reviews. It's definitely a casual spot, best for a quick lunch when you're already parked at the Grove or Farmers Market. I went with my two-year-old and our nanny, who met us there, and it was an easy place to grab a table and eat a good, low-key meal. The stall was run by a pleasantly gruff, efficient Chinese man, and service was nice and fast. My only complaint is there was no water available for customers. I begged a cup off a neighboring stall just to hydrate the baby. The noodles were great. Not quite as springy and fresh as you might get at a top spot in the SGV, but excellent for the middle of L.A. There were noodle soups and rice dishes on the menu, but we just got two of the signature dry noodles, plenty of food for two adults and a toddler. The #6, or Three Toppings Spicy Handmade Noodle with Pepper Oil, was a satisfying combination of wide, chewy noodles and spicy chili oil, with three choice of three readymade toppings, added on by the scoop. I got the braised chicken, the spicy pork, and the egg and tomato, and these all worked well. I ordered the #8 Stir Fried Lamb or Beef or Chicken Handmade Noodle in Cumin Sauce with chicken and the thinner udon noodles. I also got it without spice, since my son would be eating this one. It was 100% mild but big on flavor, with plenty of cumin. I was honestly relieved that my kid liked it. I thought it was delicious, with soft noodles stir fried with tender chicken and vegetables. We took home about half of the #8, and I very much enjoyed the leftovers (which I did blast with sriracha). I'm a fan of Noodle Art and would highly recommend it if you want some good Chinese noodles in this part of town.

Pretty good! I've been looking for a restaurant that has similar offerings to Xian Famous Foods in NYC. This is the closest thing I've found so far in LA. I ordered the spicy cumin lamb noodles and requested that they be served with the wide noodles vs the the thin ones it typically comes with.Flavor was spot on. Noodles were a bit too thick and doughy. Those are generally good things imo, but in this case it made the noodles a bit uncomfortably chewy and cumbersome. I wish it had more cabbage mixed into the noodles since this is a pretty heavy dish.Service was prompt.

First time dining here and I'd rate it as a 4/5.Portion is very generous and there is a wide selection of options, from noodle (in soup or dry) and rice dishes (pictured here).I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley so I was spoiled with incredible Chinese and Taiwanese food growing up. I have a high bar for this cuisine (for better or worse in writing this review).Noodle Art's braised pork was quite tasty but not as nuanced in flavor that I'm used to. The rice was not as moist as I had hoped for but still good.I am down to try the other dishes, especially the noodle options- they looked delicious from what I saw other diners eating.I'll make an updated review if I have a different opinion the second time.Try this place out if you're craving some solid Asian rice and noodles, at reasonable prices.

Noodle Art is located near the bathrooms in the Farmers Market near the West Patio entrance. For less than $15 you can enjoy a generous bowl of noodle soup, a dry noodle dish, or a rice dish. For this price alone, it's worth a try and it's especially nice on a cold fall night. If you're with a group, have a person, or a few people, scout out a table while one person orders for everyone. Tables can be hard to find during busy hours. You could order using the QR code but it was confusing and the website was hard to navigate. The line was actually faster. Plus you know that they have your order.I got their Braise Beef Clear Soup ($13.99) and was told I could add a few toppings with it. I added veggies and bok choy with the wide noodle. The soup's broth tasted more on the bland side. Their veggies were nice, very chewy and cooked perfectly. The beef was tough and I didn't finish all of it. The noodles were soft but didn't break a part. They were good.My husband got their Braised Beef Stew Brisket Soup and were given thin noodles instead of fat ones. He said his broth was okay, slightly spicy which he was fine with, but his beef was chewy.Overall I would come back if I had friends who wanted to try this place, but if I was by myself I'd skip and try another place.

In a tourist area such as Farmers Market, where Dubai chocolate tablets can go for $20, it was refreshing to see a food place where you can get a nice meal for less than $15.Located by the restroom (it can be the best and worse location depending who you ask), it has a huge menu on the wall with pictures and descriptions of the dishes. We ordered Braised Beef Noodle Soup and 3 Toppings Spice Noodle with Pepper Oil. Both non-spicy. We also ordered them with wide noodles which are similar to Pappardelle pasta.Braised Beef Noodle: the broth was flavorful, beef was soft and the noodle was cooked perfectly.3 Topping Spicy Noodle with Pepper Oil: you can choose the toppings from the serving trays and they will mixed them with the pepper oil before serving. The noodle's consistency was very good. The seasoning was on the spot: flavorful but not overpowering. The combination of the topping with pepper oil was delightful. The service could be better however it is not really a big deal considering how busy they were.

The food here is hot, fresh and delicious and the portions are generous. You can easily share one dish between two people for $14, that's pretty amazing value these days. You can see them cooking the noodles fresh behind the glass too. This was my first time having Xi'an style Chinese food, and I certainly will be seeking it out more after this. We got the lamb stir fried noodles in cumin sauce, and I'll also admit this is the first time I've had a cumin-flavored dish. I'm not even a fan of cumin, but it worked really well here. The dish was also very peppery and spicy, it just really hit the spot. If you're at the Grove doing some shopping, popping in here to snag some fresh noodles wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

After passing by this amazing fragrant stall a gazillion times I finally decided to try it. Every time I pass by I can smell the cumin, so I ordered stir fried noodles with beef in a spicy cumin sauce. My order was ready fairly quickly and I was also provided some chili oil for that extra kick. You can adjust the spice level to your preference, I asked for 3, but the receipt said 2. After I added the chili oil, the spice level was perfect. Everything was cooked well and the texture of the noodles still had a nice chew. I loved the amount of stir fried veggies in this dish too. This might just be my new favorite place to grab a bite at the farmers market, we will definitely be back soon!

Finally!!! A spicy cumin lamb with wide flat noodles!!! Almost on par with the NY Xian famous foods one. You can pick your spice level 1-5, I got a 4 and it was spicy but not too overwhelming. Hand pulled noodles were fresh and chewy, not too thick. And lots of veggies!Parking validation for the lot too! I believe 90 minutes free with validation

Came here on a whim as I was actually gonna hit upPasta corner. The last time I came it was closed and not yet open for service. This is some great hand pulled noodle and the textureand flavors were on point. I choose the three items where you can pick your three to go with your hand pulled noodles. I did beef, spicy beef, and veggie. Man all I can say is yum! This is a food court type so order your food and find a spot. I'll be back the next time I'm in the area!!
