The BEST darn Indian food I've found in Los Angeles. Mom/Pop feeling and taste in this amazing restaurant. 20/10 rating every time. Never disappoints. Staff is friendly and attentive. I want to keep this place a secret but they deserve all the praises.

I was in the mood for Indian food so I ordered the Chicken Biryani from Nizam of India. I asked them to make it spicy which they did and it was perfect! The chicken was tender and overall it was very good. The portion was enough for two meals. I would definitely get the Biryani again as well as try some of their other dishes.

There is no shortage of Indian restaurants in the area and I've always seen Nizam, but never tried it until I was led there by a Doordash search for Indian food that could be delivered in under 30 minutes.I tried the thali combo dinner so I could have a taste of their basics; soup, chicken tikka, chicken makhani, lamb vindaloo, rice and saag paneer. The meal also came with naan, papadam and a salad. A lot of food for around $30.00 and it lasted two meals. Everything tasted fresh and well -seasoned. the sauces were all a good, thick consistency. I tacked on a piece of cheese naan and that arrived still warm and gooey. This is a really solid choice for neighborhood Indian food.

We went to the Buffet today at Nizam. We agreed it is one of the best in L.A.We have been going to the Venice Blvd. Indian places. Nizam is so superior. The buffet had Chicken Jalfreezi which was in a spicey dark sauce and very falloff the bone tender. I had the sag which was just hot enough and melt in your mouth good. The cauliflower was not overdone and yummy. There was a paneer which I had never had before in a hot orange curry which we loved. The dal was a dark brown dal I haven't had before and was great. The accoutrements... raita naan and the hot green sauce were divine. It is Zagat rated for a reason. Nizam is well worth its very reasonable price to at $17.95 per person.

All I have to say is come and get you a feast here at Nizam's.The Royal Tandoori Feast is the bomb. You get a little taste of everything and damn its all good! The navaratan korma was the surprise hit and knocked my socks off flavor wise it beat everything else. the chicken shrimp and kebabs were all deliciously seasoned and cooked to perfection. The skillet with sizzling onions added to the atmosphere. The service is efficient snd friendly. The decor is that of a casino restaurant from the 80s but in all honesty if they keep pumping out delicious food who cares where I'm eating it. Its not the swankiest place but if you're looking for some dang good Indian food Nizam has your back!!!

When I see "korma" I often think "mild." How incorrect I was. The ingredients seem fresh and well made. And my dinner is too spicy for me to eat. The naan is very tasty and soaks up some heat. My mouth hurts.

Here for their lunch buffet as an anniversary date. I love the selections with vegetarian and meat options including chicken and goat curry. Delish. Served fresh and their tandoori chicken is good too. My fav is the curry goat and basmati rice. Also good starter options including a tomato soup with garlic naan! So good on a chilly day. Love also the Indian spice chai tea. I don't take milk so they were nice enough to make it black for me. I love the aromatic spices and taste. So good, they bring you a mini teapot of it as a serving. They also have dessert options. For the price of about $16 bucks each for a buffet with this kind of variety is worth it. Also, our waiter was very friendly. He was waiting on everyone as it was not too crowded because we went early by 11am when they started before the lunchtime rush. Parking is on the street if you find it so can be a challenge. Maybe better to Uber here. It is nestled by businesses and retail stores so it's kinda busy. Definitely will be back

Bland and uninspired Indian food. Service and decor was pleasant. So many good Indian restaurants in LA won't be going back

This place did not disappoint! VERY PLEASED! We are picky people who go for the most authentic. This place has stood the test of time since the 80s, and now we know why.

Yum Yum. Yum! Great food, great ambience, great service. I hosted my daughter's graduation party at Nizam of India last June, and it was wonderful. The food was superb, and everyone had a great time. No wonder my daughter loves this restaurant! And a few weeks later, I went with my mother for their lunch buffet. So delicious! I will definitely come back for another lunch buffet! I would've come again already, but I don't like having a really heavy lunch. Which is what you will have when you go there, because their food is so delicious and you will want to eat a lot! It's nicely priced too. Highly recommended -- for lunch, dinner, and parties!!
