New York’s Chopped Cheese

I'll admit it: I've never had a Chopped Cheese sandwich before. But if they're all as good as the one I had at this place...damn. It was super good. Way more flavorful than you might expect from a sandwich that's somewhere between a burger and a sloppy Joe.I also had the tater tots, and they were super good, too. Way more flavorful than most place's.As for the place itself, it's your typical mini-mall kind of eatery. A handful of tables, a bunch of places to park, nothing fancy. But it's not a fancy kind of food, so it fits.Same goes for the staff, who were also nice and normal.If I have any complaints, and I don't really, it's that the chairs could've been more comfortable. But then, I'm a middle-aged man, the chairs can always be more comfortable.

Great service, I came in on a Thursday night a few weeks back and the two ladies running the place were extremely nice, and took great care of me. God bless those two, was honestly surprised cos most places have shitty service around here. Now the food, very tasty and packed! I've been to smash burger spots where you pay $12 for a tiny burger that you literally eat in less than 3 bites. Not here! They pack it with meat and cheese, and feels heavy when holding it. Leaves you filled and satisfied. Looking forward to my next visit!

Tried the new neighborhood spot today and it did not disappoint. Really good sandwich, comes with fries and fire fountain soda (the coke was McDs style). Sandwich was a little greasy but it was a well seasoned, tasty, and all together worked really well. Fries are over seasoned, when dipped in sauce, tastes like a salt bomb. Sucks cause the yerr sauce is like a chipotle Mayo type sauce so I wanted to enjoy it.CRITICAL: Make sure to order a LARGE. I got the regular/small and it came on a hard roll. Chopped cheese HAS to be on pressed French roll. Will be back for sure.

Tried the classic chopped cheese and the loaded tot fries. The chopped cheese was good, it had a nice mixture of seasoned ground beef and condiments and sauces. The sauce tasted a bit sweet at time. The loaded tots were good, The tots were crispy and a good mixture of the sauce and ground beef and peppers went well together. Overall, its good but it will be very heavy.The staff was nice and courteous on various requests.

Ceazer is great thank you for excellent customer service !! Visiting this location two days in a row, very delicious. Yesterday we ordered loaded tater totes, chopped cheese sandwich, tater totes and mozzarella sticks. Today I needed those loaded tater totes. 2 chopped cheese sandwiches.

I'm not familiar with a classic New York style chopped cheese to compare. But this sandwich smacked! 10/10 the fries were good the seasoning on them made them super tasty. What I really liked was that the sandwich comes with choice of fries or tater tots and a drink. Most places don't do that anymore without charging you extra for everything. The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean with some sick jams playing on the speaker. I'll definitely be back.

I'd been wanting to try chopped cheese and it did not disappoint. Located in a small strip lot I was warmly greeted by the lone employee. He said the original was a good starting point for 1st timers and I'm glad he did. Made to order the sandwich was warm and oozing cheese. The peppers were a nice addition. Interior super clean. You've got to try.

Not a fan.Concept is to cook hamburger with the cheese on it and to blend it.They then put condiments tomato on it.Problem is bun fell apart so i ate it on a plate.Owner is great,location is immaculate

I saw an article in Eater last night about this place. The NYC bacon, egg, and cheese may be my favorite sandwich! I was so excited to try it, I was there at 9:05 am today, a Sunday.That's absolutely perfect marketing and customer journey!But then, they served me a burnt sandwich, y'all. I know it wasn't personal, but it sure feels that way when you KNOW you burned it and you still have the nerve to serve it to me. I tipped in advance and everything. Makes me feel like a sucker.

Food is good. However I don't share the enthusiasm that the east coast people might. It was very seasoned, cheese is already salty so it was a bit much. The meat was grounded down and it all blended and didn't really have textures.... I got The Banger Large (10-12 inch sub) eventually the seasoning and sogginess took over my pallet and I couldn't finish it. If you want to try it I suggest trying the small size--small size is about the size of a torta at a taco truck. The fries and tater tots are one size and are shareable amount for 2. Service was decent, it was late in the evening and slow so maybe that had reflected onto the service. The ambiance was better than the service lol. Music was good and the place was spacious enough to eat there. They also have a clean area with a lunch bench outside. For a new spot in the neighborhood it didn't live up to the hype for me
