This place is absolutely amazing and delicious. You will not find food like this anywhere else. This is a legitimate Mama and Papa shop. The food is homemade fresh and delicious all the time. The staff is super super friendly! all the people that work there are kind. Highly recommend this place. Met one of the workers who took my order. Think his name is Nino. Super friendly and attentive!!!! I absolutely recommend this place!!!!

Delicious but a little on the pricier side. I paid $25 for a chicken combo plate. I'm posting cus the prices are unclear. Hope this helps!

Worth the stop! Flavor town. Authentic and oh so tasty!You can call ahead, because there is definitely a wait. It's worth it though. I've seen a lot of Persian restaurants come and go. This one is here to stay.

Located in a small shop on the Los Angeles street. This place is owned by two very sweet elders. The grandpa and grandma are the sweetest people you could ever meet. The food is delicious. Delicious. I am not Persian, and I am in love with their currant rice. Super yummy. My Persian friend recommended this place to me, and I'd say this place has the food that is even better than Raffis or Tehran Grill in the greater LA area. They serve their kabob with raw onion, in very authentic way, according to what my Persian friends said. I'd definitely come back for more. Price is also cheap too.

Initially, I was going to give this place 4 stars. Just couldn't bring myself to give 5 stars, because the outdoor sitting didn't seems attractive, with a meth head passing by e-very so often. Indoors was not much better. The place is definitely at the bottom of fancy. BUT and as you can see, it's a big but.... The food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! So here goes the saying: "Don't judge a book by its cover". And definitely don't judge this restaurant by it's ambiance. I have to say, I really feel for the people in this area of Downtown LA that have to make a living here. The homeless problem, the substandard city environment + Covid must make for a lethal combination. So many businesses that stood empty and deserted. But here in this "shanty town" at Nayeb Kabab, you will find some delectable dishes that will tease your palate. We ordered the Qufta (Arabic -forgot the Persian name) plate. The serving was so large, that it was more than enough for my husband and I to share. We had to wait a bit for our food, which told us that it was freshly prepared. The flavors were authentic and fresh. The host/server (?) came to ask us if we liked more bread. He was super friendly and courteous. They were busy, because some guy with a bicycle came back and forth to get take out orders. We loved the place and will be back any time we have to be in down town LA.

Friendly Service. Good food cooked when you order. Located in the Fashion District of DTLA. Street parking may be hard to find.
