There are tons of hot pot/shabu options in this area and I'm so glad I checked out nabemono. As a mostly vegetarian, sometimes it's hard to find flavorful broths but Nabemono was not lacking. After long deliberation, we finalized on the miso and the creamy veg and both were so good and robust. The vegetables that came with were also so fresh and abundant that we had leftovers to take home (no food waste here, folks). If you want an app, the spicy garlic edamame was great to start with with really tasty garlic flavor Attentive servers. The only hiccup was that the online ordering was a bit cumbersome to navigate at first but the team was helpful in figuring it out. Can't wait to come back.

Delicious shabu shabu with good selection of meats and broths. Comes with unlimited veggies (except shiitake mushrooms) and dipping sauces. The sesame sauce is yummy. The restaurant is dimly lit with a good amount of seating. There was a short wait to be seated, but once we were seated the service was okay. Seemed like there were two servers that night, so they were a little busy. The food was good, prices were reasonable and with unlimited veggies it's really filling. I would go back.

Finally got to try this Shabu Shabu place located near the Renaissance on Main St. FYI, it's not AYCE. You choose your proteins then broth and any other extra ingredients or side dishes. We ordered the spicy pork broth, sukiyaki broth, and the tomato broth with boneless short ribs and Australian lamb shoulders. We also got assorted balls, udon, and rice. The broths were very flavorful and meats were very good. It was very filling even tho it wasn't AYCE. Quick and nice service. It's a kinda small place. Parking is available on the streets or at the back.

And if I could give it 6 stars I would! We went here for a quick birthday dinner with 5 friends and everything was delicious. I was impressed by the meat quality, the broth and the sauces. I like how everything is customizable on the menu. You can order the meat by one fourth of a pound, half a pound or a pound. I think one forth of a pound of meat is enough for one. You can't go wrong with the angus beef chuck. And I can honestly say they have the best goma sauce I've ever had. It has a very rich and thick consistency. I'm sure I can just drink that sauce. Our server was very nice and brought us a lot of garlic, green onion and spices on the side so we could adjust the broth to our liking. Everything about this place was exceptional. Prices as well. Perhaps they can include more vegetables in the veggie bowl.

Loved the decor and setup. Very modern and clean aesthetics. The combo comes with free refill for the veggies (sans tofu and mushroom) which is a great feature! Loved the beef belly and short rib. Only thing the broth and condiments were a bit too sweet for my liking but other than that everything was delicious. We also got shrimp pop and fried squid legs which are not bad but I prefer Shabu more.

After trying a lot of shabu places in LA, thought I'd try somewhere local with my friends and found this place on yelp. The prices were reasonable, the veggies were unlimited and they had happy hour. I thought the broth was flavorless and the sukiyaki broth was something very similar to the one I have at home. There were maybe 3 other tables and the service was so slow, they forgot our drinks, order, and never offered to ask if we needed anything else. Giving it a 2 star since I thought the happy hour was a good option. For parking, there's ample parking in the parking structure next to the movie theater!

Nabemono Shabu Shabu sits unsuspectingly off the side of the theater; maybe I went on an off day but in an area full of shabu shabu, the competition seems to have an upper hand. 3.5Selection here is pretty standard where you select your broth, then meat, and the vegetable platter comes in; where I think they lack is that their broths are forgettable; there isn't really much flavor imparted into the vegetables or meat even though I had pork bone. The meat quality is decent, but it kind of felt like I may have just gone to Mikiya for American wagyu for just $10 more and I would've gotten AYCE. The quality is decent, but I think the pricing just doesn't really justify the quality. The service is really good, but only when they're not busy; our waiter was pretty attentive and made some good recommendations until the dinner rush came in and it seemed like he was handling everything by himself to the point where it was just hard to flag him down to get our check. So if you're dining in during off hours, you'd probably get a better experience. The restaurant is pretty clean, and not too loud so definitely a good place to sit and chat with friends. Overall, I feel like nabemono is a decent selection for quality food for a non-AYCE option.

We came right at 9PM and it was very nice of the server to sit us down since they take last walk-ins at 9PM. It's our first time here so we didn't know but will go in earlier next time. We got the sukiyaki and spicy pork bone. The spicy pork bone could be a little oily, probably due to the chili oil so just fyi. The flavor is still good though. For meats we got the beef belly and boneless short rib. The boneless short rib is so soft and melts in your mouth, I would recommend this meat. If you're looking for more value, the beef belly is a good option as well. I would try their fresh ramen if you're a fan of noodles. The veggies are fresh and appreciate the unlimited refills. Ambiance is clean and modern. I liked the way the hot pot is set up side by side so my partner and I could share our shabus. Overall a great experience and since I stopped going to Kokumi, this is a similar option.

I love a traditional Japanese shabu spot and this is asclose as it gets that's nearby. They have a great vegan option for my husband (i.e., green machine) and a vegan version of their ponzu dipping sauce. I love the unlimited veggie refill even though we were fine with what they gave us initially. Great goma and ponzu sauces as well as a variety of soup bases to choose from. Major kudos for serving icy cold beers literally! The restaurant is quite spacious and airy. The only criticism I have is there was only one person dealing with the front of the house at any given time, so trying to flag this person down for the check took a considerable amount of time especially on a Friday when it was getting busy. Hopefully this was just a rare occurrence and they've figured out their staffing needs as I cannot wait to come back to try other items on their menu.

This is one of my favorite shabu places that I frequent couple of times a month. I think for the price and quality of ingredients, it's more worth it than some ayce places. I usually get their 1/2 lb angus or pick two with spicy pork bone soup. Their veggies are ayce with the exception of tofu and mushroom. I maybe ask for more Napa and squash once and I'm stuffed. The meat is sliced well and always tastes fresh. I'm also impressed with their ponzu and goma sauces. I love that you have the option to order and pay through your phone. It makes it so convenient.
