Came here for the first time last week with my friend and I was very impressed. The staff is so kind and warm. A lady (who i assumed was the head chef) came to our table and welcomed us in, and asked us how our meal was when we were done.The food was amazing. You can tell there was love and time put into each dish. Im very happy I found such a good local spot!

Omg!!!!! I'm soo glad I decide to try heir oxtail tacos!I have heard about their restaurant a while ago in NPR and have been wanting to try since. I have only tried their oxtail taco and one of the sweet treat but oh boy! This taco was to die for! It was soooo heavenly good. Their sauce and tender meat and everything. Their hot sauce gave a really good kick and works well with taco. You have to try their oxtail taco if you are in neighborhood. You won't be sorry!

They're also bumping some smooth R&B grooves at this relaxed spot.Oxtail Tacos: The shredded oxtails are soft as a pot roast, which is no surprise after six hours of slow braising. The shredded kale and onions add crunch and contrast to the tenderness of the meat. Roasted tomatoes and a whiskey reduction combine to produce really impactful flavors. The sauce is sweet and sticky and the ginger really shines through.Dining Area: The dining room has a dozen little tables. Parking: There's a little lot, so you'll probably need to find metered street parking.

Haven't been here in years!!! But running across this old review that I left is a clear reminder that I need to put this on my list and make my way soon! It's been way too long!!! Looking forward to having some good soul food with some good people, laidback service, warm and down south -feel... a kind of space that just makes you feels like you're back home.

There's a small parking lot next to the restaurant. The service team are great but it can get busy and a little loud. The food was so comforting. All the meat is cooked to perfection so it's soft and juicy. Personally, I loved the meatloaf sandwich the best. The patty is delicious with some crunchy bits inside. The cornbread is on the smaller size and came out hot and fresh. They may run out of some things. For example, we got mac n cheese soul spring rolls since they didn't have their regular mac n cheese. The soul spring rolls were delicious and it came with a salsa. My group agreed we need to come back to try more because we were stuffed at the end of dinner.

Delicious Sunday brunch. It's a small interior with the aroma of deliciousness flowing throughout. Service was amazing speedy. Such a cool vibe within. The waffel and grits were yummy and flavorful..I mean everything was delicious. Definitely a must return.

Stopped by for the first time on my way home after an appointment. They were super busy, but still attentive, patient, and kind. I ordered the chicken soul rolls, the shrimp & grits, and the braised collard greens. The soul rolls were SO DELICIOUS! I'm coming back just for those. They also had a few other items on their menu that I washed to try that I'll be back for. Definitely worth a visit.

Been wanting to try this spot for the longest and so happy i finally did!! We had friends in town and it was mandatory to find a delicious spot that was gluten-free friendly. From the fried chicken to the fried catfish to the oxtail tacos to alllll of the sides, everything we had was a hit. I was so impressed with the menu and how hard it was to decide what to get because everything looked so good and tasted even better. It's a really cute spot, service was great, and overall great vibes. Can't wait to be back!

I just dined here for my boyfriend and I's anniversary and I now adore this place! The food was so yummy and reasonably priced. My waitress was Indigo and she is so personable and friendly. I also loved the ambiance. I hope whoever is on the aux here does weddings lol.
