This is one of those reviews where I hesitate to write anything about this establishment because I really want to keep it as a secret to myself. This breakfast/lunch spot is a hidden gem in Los Angeles and often overshadowed by the hip Alcove just across the street. The ambiance here is simple and clean. The service is congenial and easy-going. The food is classic California cuisine. No frills, but what you will find are great omelettes in about any style you can imagine. The pancakes are huge and delicious. The sandwiches and salads are a decent size and will certainly fill you up for lunch. The prices are fair for Los Angeles, but it's certainly worth it and I'd pay it every time for the quality of the food. This place does what it does so well and is so unassuming about it that I wish it were the model for more spots like it in Los Angeles. Worth a trip to Los Feliz just for this place.

This was a cute little place! I got a breakfast burrito and it was really good! The picó and fruit on the side felt healthy and they were very tasty. My friend got a matcha and it was really good and pretty big! I appreciate the big portion sizes because you can share if you want, which saves money. The service was nice and our waiter was friendly and had warm vibes. The reason for the 4 stars was because it was on the pricey food (LA prices) and the food, although yummy, didn't really wow me or leave me dying to come back.

Came in on Sunday morning after driving by, took a while to find street parking, we were greeted and seated promptly, we chose to sit inside and it took a while before someone came to take our order. We had the mustard seed omelet with house potatoes. The omelet was good the potatoes were ok. It took a while again for someone to come and close us out. The prices are a bit high compared to what I have paid for a similar item and portion elsewhere.Nice little spot but it can be a bit loud if you get a group like we had sitting near us. It's a small casual place right on the corner with nice outdoor seating that looks very enjoyable anytime of day. The reason for the 4 star was based on the time we waited to order food and time waited to get our check.

A cute lil cafe with a tasty breakfast :) they give you just barely too much food to where you're stuffed, but can't have leftovers. The roasted potatoes were AMAZING and I'm hard to please when it comes to them for breakfast. Eggs Benedict was solid and I'd order it again, but next time I'll be trying something new!

My friends & I went for brunch here 2 weeks ago on a very rainy Sunday & enjoyed a delicious meal & the pleasant atmosphere. They have a nice selection of menu items & lots of choices. I ordered their turkey burger over a salad & thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great! The service was good, especially given how busy the restaurant was that morning. We will definitely come back again soon.MAR 3, 2024 - Enjoyed another great brunch here today with friends. I chose to order the rosemary turkey burger over salad again since I liked it so much. What a neighborhood gem! I'm so happy I got to visit a great friend of mine whom I hadn't seen since 2019. After catching up a bit at her place, we walked for a few blocks and landed at Mustard Seed Cafe, sat outside so her dog would be able to relax under the beautiful Saturday weather. I was immediately drawn to the robust menu... several choices to satisfy your every desire. Although I was thinking of waffles, I ended up going for the Mustard Seed Burger. I mean, where else would I find a gourmet burger by that name right? I chose mixed greens for my side along with a large mug of black coffee. The burger was delicious and definitely did not disappoint! Next time I'll remember to ask for a medium rare patty... that's the way to do it!Service was great! The ambience was casual cafe LA style. Dress and come as you are:) The server even brought a nice big stainless steel bowl of fresh water for our canine friend. It was awesome!
