Mr. Masala is close to downtown hotels, the convention center and arena. We had papadum, lentil soup, chutneys, dal and shrimp curry. We asked for mild spice and it came out mild. Everything was hot and tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Special orders are no problem. Best of all they have a vegan menu section. Recommend...

This is unfortunately a quintessential spot in my Ubereats receipts regardless of how much I try to scale back on ordering delivery. I can only speak for their takeout experience. The portions are very promising though, and the food is typically pretty good. Balance of quality & quantity. I appreciate a reliable spot like Mr. Masala. Tikka masala - I usually get either chicken or lamb. Meat can be pretty dry, but the flavor is solid and it comes HOT. Goes great with the naan/white rice when you run out of it.Garlic naan - being real there's not much of a difference to me between Mr Masala's regular/garlic naan. I know they add garlic toppings, but it's a dry topping so the garlic flavor doesn't permeate. Comes in a large flat piece. Uneven thickness (personal favorite) so you get both crispier and more doughy naanBiryani - I usually get chicken/lamb for this, medium spice. I wish there were a little more salt, as most of the flavor is straight heat. Portion is really substantial & they pack the container full. You may get the occasional raisin or cardamom pod in here. This is worth it & delicious!Veggie samosa - this is delicious, but lacks flavor. Their meat samosas are only slightly better about seasoning. Price is good for their giant size.

Cute restaurant right next to Crypto.com Arena (formerly staples center). We parked at LA Live abt 1.25 hrs before a game and walked over. Group of 4 people. Started with an order each of vegetable samosas and chicken samosas. They were piping hot and came with tamarind and mint chutneys. We got the chicken korma, channa masala, and saag paneer. They were all good. Medium had a pretty good kick. Two of the entrees we ordered as combos which got us two orders of naan (which we were able to upgrade to garlic naan) and basmati rice. It included two small rice puddings at the end as well. The nice lady who took our order, brought out our food, and rang us up was kind and more importantly, efficient. We were in and out in less than an hour with plenty of time to get to our seats for the laker game. A pleasant surprise they also offer 10% discount on Game days if you wear a jersey. Didn't take pics this time which was my mistake. Will add them next time I come which will hopefully be soon.

I love the butter chicken, rice pudding, cheesy garlic naan, and the palak paneer! They were all so delicious. It was quite refreshing, because honestly it's been awhile since I've went out to eat and thought the food was quality/worth it. The staff was very very sweet; I appreciated the service there a lot.

Its an average place, visited one but dint end up loving the food so much. It was just a one time try as it was not to indian standards of taste - being an indian restaurant. The service is okay and the ambience is decent.

Delivery: Uber EatsOrder: * Veggie samosa - I didn't think I wanted the whole thing so I asked my fiancée to split it in half for me. After I tasted the flaky outside and the warm middle with the chutney I ended up going back and eating the rest! So it was good :) on Uber eats I got a BOGO on the samosa, so it was an even better deal* Butter Chicken - best one i'be had in a long time. Not many places around here serve butter chicken anymore. We got it w medium spice and the spice level had a great kick. This time my fiancée was the one that went back for seconds. He doesn't normally do that LOL. We were scraping the sauce up w the naan.I do want to see the difference between this and the masala. I will try that next time.* Saag Paneer - really good as well! Spice levels were also on point. The saag had a nice thicker consistency. Took me a couple of sittings to finish this one (dinner and lunch the next day)Portion size is great for the price.

Foos tastes good, despite being somewhat inauthentic with odd vegetable choices in dishes.
