Came here at a friend's recommendation and I really wanted to try the grilled cheese pork ribs because I was craving it. It wasn't really busy that day, in fact there were only 1-2 other parties. However, there was only 1 waiter on the floor so the service was a bit slower than we would have liked. But no big deal, we just had to wait a bit longer to have our order taken, and also to get the check at the end.The pork ribs itself was pretty good. Nothing standout, but as expected I suppose. $65 pre-tax/tip was a bit steep, but also not out of the ordinary. Not sure if I'd come back here again as I think I'd prefer the beef ribs Sun Nong Dan to be honest. But definitely worth trying for yourself if you're curious.

Mr Bossam has been around for quite awhile. It's kind of out of my way on Western Avenue going way north of the 10 freeway. I was looking forward to trying out the place, but I was disappointed. We ordered their Bossam (pork belly), and it was a bit too sweet. Their bonchons, dipping sauces, including their red spicy sauce, were all sweet. It's fine for it to be a little sweet, but it was too overwhelming. We also ordered their Spam and Kimchi soup. That order was actually better than the bossam. Yes, spicy to the point, but good amount of spam and kimchi. It was served in a simmering clay hot pot.We ordered a pitcher of Sapporo Beer, and a side order of Romaine Lettuce. Those were fine. At least the beer was bubbly, and lettuce was fresh and in abundance. The lettuce is used to wrap the bossam, and the beer is the neutralizer. Lol.Overall, Mr Bossam is a nice dive restaurant. I hope they'll adjust the content of their ingredients. There is a reason why they're named Mr Bossam. The bossam is supposed to be their signature dish! It was a good experience. But not sure if I'll be back anytime soon.

An avid goer to the Rowland Heights branch for years and sad to know they closed the location. Still relieved this location is available for my go-to bossam fix. I've tried several bossam places but this one left an impression that set the bar high. Just love the variety of bossam they offer, always leaving satisfied tummies for a reasonable price. It's not just bossam they offer but how can I ever forget their LA Grilled cheese pork ribs with option to choose spice levels, offering several sides and top it with fried rice when the meat is almost out. Although it may be a drive to go to this location, it sure will be worth the visit!

Came here around 8:00 pm on a Tuesday. The entire parking lot was empty and there were no patrons inside, only the one employee serving and whoever was in the kitchen. While we dined in there was only one other party who walked in. We opted to sit in their outdoor space. The tables were a little small so the employee put an extra little table next to ours. You order on an iPad that they give you which makes it convenient to order, call the server, or request the check. We decided to get the garlic bossam (~$41) and the budae kimchi stew (~$39). For four people it was just a little bit too much for us and we ended up taking a tall plastic cylinder of stew home. The bossam came out first. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! The meat was so soft and tender but the real star was the sweet and savory garlic sauce they put on top. It was so heavenly I would love to know how to make my own! The sides that come with it include green leaf lettuce, salty soybean sauce, cold mac salad, radish/onion kimchi, thinly sliced pink radish sheets, and dark pickled onion. We also asked for jalapeño, garlic, and kimchi because there's a sign on the wall that says it's available upon request. The budae stew was so huge and a little bit too salty. While good, we probably wouldn't get it again. I would rather have 2 orders of bossam lol. The soup was very thick and spicier than I expected it to be. There was zucchini, kimchi, hot dogs, spam, ramen noodles, slices of American cheese, and green onions. It was good and I don't regret trying it (mostly because it was chilly outside and it's good for cold weather). But there's a reason it's called Mr. BOSSAM! Overall a great experience and would 100% come back for the bossam. The employee was friendly and checked on us the perfect amount of times. He brought us hot water, extra napkins, extra slices of radish, jalapeños, garlic, and kimchi when we asked. We left after about an hour because the food was ready pretty fast and we ate quickly.

Yummy quick stop for bossam! Stopped by on a Wednesday night and there was only 1-2 other parties that came in, so service was quick! The green onion bossam was better than the garlic bossam in my opinion, rice was free addition, and food came out quick! Bossam arrived on top of a heating dish with a flame, which was surprising. It slightly smelled like smoke inside the restaurant, which was unrelated to the flame of the heating tray, so that was odd but otherwise the atmosphere was nice! Free parking too!

I came here specifically for the noodles I love, but this time, they took over 20 minutes to arrive and tasted different from my previous visit. The bossam portion also seemed smaller, so we ended up ordering a second one because we still weren't full. The restaurant was completely empty, so we couldn't understand the delay with the noodles. On the positive side, the service was good, and the outdoor patio was a nice touch.

First night of our LA trip driving down and we were seeking some comfort Korean food! A quick Yelp search and Mr. Bossam seemed to be pretty popular for the boiled pork dish. I also had been craving it prior to coming to LA, so this was the perfect choice. I knew I wanted some place with a parking lot and most importantly, free parking! That has definitely been one of the downfalls of exploring Ktown, but luckily Mr. Bossam has its own parking lot. We came around 7pm on a Monday night, and there were only about 3 other tables seated, with one employee working. He was very courteous & answered all our questions! You order from an IPad, and they bring out banchan for you. We opted for the half garlic, half green onion bossam, but the smaller dinner version advertised for one person. Knowing myself, along with the Spam Kimchi Stew we got, this would be just the perfect portion for two people. And I was right! The bossam was delicious, and they provided us with free lettuce wraps. Not the most tender though, I found it to be a little dry. But the sauces they had were a nice addition, and I love making my own mini wraps! The kimchi stew was wayyy too spicy for me, but the boyfriend seemed to enjoy it. I will say that they were very generous with the spam, definitely did not skimp. And they also gave us 2 bowls of free purple rice with the stew! The ambiance is representative of a pocha, darkly lit & they even have outdoor seating.

Excellent authentic Korean streamed pork.Has all the sides but ,like all restaurants , it's overpriced. Buy for a nostalgic purpose but I wouldn't buy on a regular budget.
