The zajiang mian, spicy beef noodle soup and dumplings with chili oil were very good. We also got the lotus chips which was fried and decent. My friend ordered the steamed egg with minced pork that was also very good. You can choose your spicy and it matches fairly right with the spice and mala level. We also got the main cold combo that came with the spicy black fungus, Chengdu beef jerky, sweet & sour seaweed and spicy radish that were all very good. The staff was very nice and attended to our needs. You have to order your food thru the app/QR code which is slightly annoying but it works once you go thru the order system and get the hang of it. The music inside has a chill vibe to it and there are a lot of large windows and sunlight inside the restaurant. The parking situation in that area is hard to find and chaotic.

Wife and I were excited to try and order takeout from this new spot in our neighborhood, but we had our small 10lb dog with us and he was wrapped tightly inside our sling carrier around my shoulder. The owner or chef said immediately, "NO DOGS!", as we opened the entrance door. Damn, I just wanted a takeout menu or order something to-go. There was only one table dining in an empty restaurant on Saturday afternoon. His rudeness and immediate negative tone threw us off. What a jerk. We just left. Way to lose customers MIAN.

Upon entering we were greeted and taken to our seats and the waiter showed us how to order with the QR code. After exploring the menu, we decided on Chicken Katsu, pickled cucumber, chicken dumplings, Five Spice peanuts, spicy beef noodle, and Numb noodle dishes. We couldn't get enough of the peanuts and cucumber, which seems to be a good sign. It indeed was! Each of our items were delicious as we shared family style. The Numb noodle had a funny effect, which became overwhelming and didn't allow my friend to finish the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed my beef noodle soup and was delighted with how cilantro offered a fresh herby with the earthier and meaty broth. The katsu was seasoned well and its accompanying sauce served as a delight with the chicken dumplings as well. We arrived around 6:15 pm and as time went on, the restaurant became busier and each entree's distinct scent deliciously filled the space. Next time I'll sit at the counter for a different perspective.

Known for its Sichuan noodles, Mian serves up a bunch of bold flavors in its wontons, soups, and more. Most of their food has spice, so if you enjoy spice, this spot is for you. Even though I'm not good with spicy food, I still enjoy Mian just fine. The inside has plenty of seating, and parking outside can be tough in the residential area. The Clear Broth Noodle Soup was tasty and plentiful. The soup is simple but does the job. Also, one of my other favorites is the Chengdu fried rice. It comes with onion, mixed vegetables, ginger, red pepper and more. The soup and a side of this rice definitely complement each other. I would also try the wontons too!

Wish I could give half stars, or I'd give it a 3.5I went Tuesday for lunch around 1 pm by myself. When I walked in there were only 2 other tables occupied. The waiter said I could sit wherever I wanted. Directed me to scan the QR code for the menu to order, and brought over a glass of water and utensils. The whole time I was there only 3 other tables were occupied. I waved the waiter over to ask a question about the menu, then ordered. My food did come out pretty quick, but my main came out before the appetizer. I ordered the chicken pan fried dumplings and the pork noodles with mild spicy. The pork noodles were delicious, really good favor and very filling. The chicken dumpling were good, but didn't have a ton of flavor to them, I wouldn't order them again. I should've done the pork fried dumplings, but didn't want 2 pork dishes. This place would've scored higher if not for the service. The whole time I was there, the waiter never came to refill my water, even when it was almost empty and I still had a good amount of food left. As I said, it was not busy at all, I saw him just standing around and talking with coworkers. Never came to check in after the food had been brought out, I had to wave him down to get a fork. He did drop off the check before I was done, but did not offer to refill the water. Paid at the register to use Apple Pay, and I could not BELIEVE the audacity of this restaurant to have the lowest suggested tip amount of 22% when the waiter didn't even take your order, you ordered off a QR code! And as I said, the service was not good for how dead the restaurant was. I tipped about 15%, but really should've tipped 10%, but didn't want to only leave $2.This might be a better place to just order takeout from

I'm not in love with any of the soup flavors so I can't really recommend anything (I personally don't like beef noodle soup). However, the dumplings here are the way to go! Especially the pork one. You can't go wrong with any of them but my favorites are the pan fried pork dumplings. The sauce they give you is a little spicy and a little sweet. I want to drink it! All the appetizers here are delicious if not a little pricey but I'm not complaining since it is one of the only Chinese restaurants in the area!

Picked up some take out and the soup in the clear broth beef noodle soup was way too salty. The slices of beef were nice and tender. The Sichuan dry noodles with a fried egg is always a good choice.

Okay so BOOOMI wrote an initial review 3 years ago ranting and raving about this place. After three years I'll never step foot in this establishment again. The food is still good, but the service is ASS. It's like the staff are insulted that you happened to patron their business. They use to have this manager who was definitely dedicated and committed to his craft. Now it seems like the main manager is a disheveled, sloppy, oaf of a man. He can't be bothered to help customers in person. They have a digital ordering system that is asinine. Even seating is weird. The entire restaurant can be completely empty & depending on your party size you may or may not be allowed to sit at certain tables. Conclusively I'd wager that ordering through a delivery service would be sufficient, but my advice is to not waste your time or money visiting this restaurant.

First meal after moving to LA and I was craving some homey food. The beef noodles were close but a little too oily (my Sichuan friend wouldn't have minded). What I did enjoy about the dish was the fall apart beef chunks and the fact that this is the first (thick, cylindrical) rice noodle I've ever enjoyed because they were chewy and soft. I've had more brittle versions which makes chewing properly difficult. And it's super affordable!
