Mex Peru Gipsy

I went to eat with my family at Méx Peru Gipsy yesterday, and from the moment we arrived, we received excellent service--from helping us find our table to even finding us parking. Juan, the owner, went out of his way to move his car so I could park right in front of the restaurant and avoid paying for parking.Once seated, the attention and service were outstanding. Juan came over to chat with us and shared a bit about the restaurant's history and how they got to where they are today.The food was delicious. We ordered choros a la criolla as an appetizer, and for the main course, we had ceviche and arroz chaufa. I personally ordered lomo saltado, and it was just as delicious as the other dishes--great quality meat and ingredients.I also want to add that the staff was very attentive. No matter where you are, you have to come try this restaurant. Highly recommended, 10/10 in every aspect!

Heard of Mex Peru Gipsy months ago and finally made it there today! We ordered the Ceviche Mixto and Lomo Saltado. The Ceviche was excellent with big shrimp, calamari and fish. The Leche de Tigre was delicious. The Lomo Saltado was also very good! The filet mignon was soft and tasty! We met Juan the owner who stopped by the table to greet us and explain the dishes we chose as well as a little bit is their history. He also brought us some rocoto ají for our ceviche. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. One of the cooks came out to greet us as well and explained the "Gipsy" aspect of the menu. It's a small place, but plenty of seating. Will go back to try more items on the menu!

Service was good, food was delicious. It almost had just a little too much salt for my liking but so good. I had Lomo Saltado, meat was of high quality, tender and juicy.Right of the street of LA Fashion district.Small kitchen, few bar seats in front of kitchen but mainly street tables.

My man and I came here to is past weekend for the first time and not only was the food great (definitely get the Lomo Saltado) but the atmosphere was so inviting, fun and friendly. The Lomo Saltado was delicious. The meat was flavorful and tender and we couldn't get enough of the sauce. The Jalea Mixta was a lot of food and my man was obsessed with the fried Yucca especially because it wasn't dry. Big shout out to Juan who caught me dancing to Marvin Gaye while waiting for our food and kept playing it just for me . Such a great guy, super friendly and we definitely left very full and with big smiles on our faces from laughing so much. Juan, we will be back and I expect my music to be playing!

Good Peruvian food and friendly service. Small find in the Santee Alley with Mexican options available as well.

The customer service was outstanding! The food is fresh and delicious and the whole vibe from the location makes it a great way to spend an LA type of afternoon :)

small place in the fashion district. As a child of peruvian parents the lomo saltado is !!!!!As well as their Ceviche!!!!. I also had their Tacos/Burritos and they are also Amazing. Had the chance to meet the owner super sweet guy. Told me all of their beef is prime!!! 5/5 experience will continue to come.

I had the lomo saltado and it was one of the best I have had in years (since I had my grandpas cooking back in Peru many years ago). Truly amazing delicious food, and such genuine kind people! I have to come back for the Aji de Gallina and Pan con Chicharrón! Love the vibes of this restaurant. Everything is absolutely perfect!

Food was delicious and the service was great! Definitely will be coming back. I got the tallarín with shrimp. The shrimp was so juicy and filling of flavor. Also tried the lomo saltado which was the best I've ever tried.10/10!
