So a friend and I are doing a wine bar once a month as a New Year's resolution. He found this one and I have to say the wine selection is great!! Stephen buys the wine and sat and served us. Sophie took over for him and they were both so attentive. Our glasses were never empty! Great happy hour from 4-5pm with half price glasses and the wine is all amazing!! Food is fantastic although not a big selection which I think is good. Would totally come back!

Great cute little wine bar with a little French and Italian mix. The menu is limiting and the place gets loud. Looked like most peeps were in to drink wine and munch on the charcuterie boards with their date. We opted for the tater tots which did not disappoint and both got the burger. Again, delicious but it was bigger than I was expecting for a small wine bar so we really should have just split one.

Stopped for a glass of wine after dinner. Didn't know they had a whole menu for dinner too. I'd be interested in checking it out. Definitely a cute wine bar in the middle of Beverly Grove. It's cozy and adorable inside. But it does feel small and you can hear the other party's conversation. Service was great though. Wine selection isn't as big as I'd hope. I do also question their portions for serving glass as it doesn't feel like it's a full glass of wine. Prices are high too. I'd be open to coming back and giving it another shot.

Happened to stumble on this restaurant while on a walk and found the ambiance intriguing . There is a bar inside with a few seats , indoor and heated outdoor seating . We sat outside on a Saturday night . Service was a little slow but food and wine were good and prices were pretty decent . I had a glass of chilled red wine , tater tots, spinach and mushroom risotto and the hanger steak with fries and it was $108 including tax . The hanger steak was the winner with the yummy sauce all over . The serve mentioned they have the best branzino in town but they sold out so I cannot attest to it but worth noting if you plan on dining here .

I'm so glad my other half surprised me with dinner at Melanie, I loved everything about my experience. We were there on Monday which turned out to be 1/2 off wine bottles which makes this wine-focused restaurant an amazing deal. The fact that I love steak frites was a major factor in the surprise he planned for me. I was in Paris a few months ago and have been craving it, I was very pleased with their version. We also got the Crab fettuccini which was good. They have a simple but good menu. Being a wine bar, they had a great selection of various wines. They even had a section for orange wines which I've actually never heard of! The service was also top notch. The manager was really on top of things and we learned about the struggles Melanie went through since they opened during the pandemic. I admire local businesses that made it through those tough times. He also mentioned in Jan they will also offer 1/2 off wine on Sundays. The ambiance of the restaurant is so nice. This is a perfect place for a date night, girls night out or maybe catching up with an old friend. It's a small restaurant with a dozen tables inside and several outside (with heat lamps). Parking is on the street which is my least favorite thing about coming to this area but Melanie is worth it and there were plenty of meters in the area since it was a Monday night.Note: they don't take reservations but you can rent out their venue for private events.

Such a cozy wine bar and they have good service and an intimate atmosphere overall. | P A R K I N G |Found parking along the street which was really convenient. Since it's located off 3rd street you'll find plenty of metered parking options, especially if you come a bit early. | S E R V I C E |Great service overall. Our waitress gave wonderful descriptions of both wine and food. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and great at what she does.| F O O D |Items we ordered were the olives and almonds ($10), crab fettuccini ($38), and the mussels ($28).*Olives were really tasty and not too salty. *Almonds have seasoning on them.*The crab fettuccine has a savory base as opposed to a cream base and is pretty tasty and fresh.* Mussels were okay and had to go back (a few had an odd taste)And some wine of course. They have one bottle of rose and it's pleasantly dry and not very sweet. Also fairly priced at $60.

Came to Melanie for a date night, as I thought it was the perfect type of restaurant for my fiancée. I was right, as she loved it, and I did too. They have half off bottles of wine on Mondays, and starting in January, Sundays as well. We got there early at around 5:30, so we had no problem getting a table. It did get quite crowded after 6:30 though. The ambiance is cute, the service was attentive, and our wine was also very tasty. We tried the hangar steak and the crab fettuccine. The steak was delicious and the crab fettuccini was good, but a little under flavored for my liking. Overall we really enjoyed it.

I have visited Melanie on several occasions, and the experience is unlike any other wine bar in LA. The food is next level and the wine list is incredible. The small staff, led by Stephen and Sophie, are always warm, inviting and knowledgeable. But what makes Melanie extra special is the vibe and the atmosphere. Very NYC with a touch of St Germain. Candle lit tables and great music set the scene, with a diverse clientele that ranges from laid back locals to discerning wine geeks.

Oh my god, the food was so wonderful. I know it's a wine bar & of course the wine choices were spot on, specifically the Hungarian chilled red, but don't be afraid to book yourself some dinner here. The curry mussels left me awestruck; the tater tots were pillowy, crispy comforting and so filling. Their bread had love baked into it. Meet you there tonight!

Melanie is a beautiful cozy wine bar that also has a solid food menu. We only came for drinks and ordered a bottle of wine for the tables. Appreciated the glassware and service. Great ambience and staff gave us good space but were mindful of things like water. Decent mark up on wine - will need to try the food next time!
