Meizhou Dongpo Restaurant

Upscale Chinese restaurant with a great ambiance. Food and service are both excellent. The establishment is pretty big and seats a fair number of tables. Menu is extensive and the interior furnishing is pretty fancy. Great for a business meal or celebratory occasion. Definitely order the Peking duck. That's my favorite dish on the menu ;)

Review update may be forthcoming as I want to come back and try more from the menu, but as of right now I find Meizhou Dongpo just okay. I've gone twice now and just not been impressed with the flavors or dryness of the duck.Let me start by saying, I love the location of this Meizhou Donpo within Century City Mall. They have outdoor seating for fun people watching on the top floor of the mall and it's a fun, sexy evening vibe. Great service as this location, as well!Every time I've been thus far, the half duck was quite dry. Like I had one piece and couldn't do anymore due to it not being rich and juicy. The flavor of the orange chicken just isn't very strong and my palate is used to a sweet & sugary taste to the orange chicken. So if you are looking for a less sweet, more muted orange chicken you might love this. I did not enjoy the flavors though.As mentioned, I'll def be back and want to try more from the menu. It's just so convenient to dine here when you see a movie at the AMC. But, I won't be getting the half duck or orange chicken again.

Sunday dinner (9/29/2024)My family and I were late for our Din-Tai-Fung reservation. So we settled for this place. And turned out, this was really nice! This is a fine-dining Chinese restaurant (serving Szechuan). Nice decor and courteous staff. And a shout-out to our dedicated and low-keyed server, Will (Wilfredo). He did a great job. (5 Stars!)We were also happy with the food. (5 Stars) For our group of three, we ordered the following: Chicken Pot Stickers (6 pieces) - $13Sauteed Short Ribs $40 - very delicious, including the dipping sauceGarlic-wok-fried Broccoli - $18Meizhou Special Fried Rice - $ 15They have outdoor and indoor seating.Decor was nice. (5 Stars) Restroom (3 Stars)They only have one restroom for both men and women. But it was clean.

One of the best Beijing Peking ducks in the states. The presentation was good and the taste with some cucumbers and sauce is a must try. Their special two dollar soup with leftover duck bones were extremely good and tasty! Their Mapo tofu is also very authentic and flavorful. High recommended and their services are unmatched. Loved my experience and will definitely go again for anniversary and celebrations!

While showing at the mall my husband and I decided to have dinner here. We have never dined here before so we wanted to try. The ambiance is great, beautiful restaurant with great service. The food was ok. Not the best but also not bad at all. I loved the Mongolian beef and the sweet and sour soup but not the chow mein or the kung pao chicken. The chicken had a weird texture. The chow mein noodles were very thin and dry. I noticed a lot of people were ordering the duck I guess it's their popular dish. I can never eat that so I skipped. They have many options for dishes so maybe next time I'll try something else. Like I said it's a beautiful place to dine at.

This place a good, I go here a couple times a month with people that love it here. Food is very tasty, a little pricy but it makes sense when a plate can feed multiple people! I love their garlic shrimp noodles and the garlic broccoli/ string beans. Very tasty! I tried their dessert that was a sesame "dumpling" (sorry if that's the wrong term for it) in a sweet rice liquid. Very interesting, I'd say it's fun to try, sweet and very savory.

Food: 3/10Only good items we had/had any flavoring were the pea sprouts and Dan Dan noodles. The roasted duck and pork hock had no flavor whatsoever. The roasted duck came with some dipping sauces, but it did not help. It mostly tasted like water down Chinese food. For a place where the total for three items was $150, it was really disappointing.Service:4/10 Average at best. I can get why some people are saying they felt real rushed when ordering, but I think it's just because of the tone of voice of the waitresses. Other than that, they were pretty attentive and quick to respond when we called.Ambience: 4/10Stereotypical decorated Chinese restaurant. Nothing too fancy or overly eye-catching. we did like the fact that we got to sit outside and it was good weather that day.Overall:Would we come and dine at this place again? No. I've been eating authentic Chinese food for all of my life and this place unfortunately did not hit the mark.

Came here for the first time. Tried the wonton soup, Mongolian beef, duck sliders, and shrimp fried rice. Everything was just ok. The wonton broth was very bland, almost just tasted like hot water. Duck slides were decent, skin wasn't crispy, buns were cold. Fried rice was ok...tasted more like soy sauce than anything else. Beef was also just ok, my wife tried one piece and didn't want to eat it anymore. Unfortunately we probably won't be back.

The food was so nice, We got there on Valentine's day when it was really busy and we got to sit within 20 minutes. The food is really great I recommend the bang bang chicken and honey walnut shrimp. The environment was also great as well.

The food was very good, the servers served us in time and we finished the food so fast we forgot to take pictures. All the employees were very kind too.
