I dont live in LA but came here after landing at LAX from travelingI was craving Korean food so badly while I was gone (Koreans usually cant live without their Korean foods lol)This definitely hit the spotThe soup was perfect saltiness, the dumplings were OK though, nothing to die for. Service was pretty good, it was a big place so we got seated pretty quickly. Overall would recommend!

I came in before 6pm on Monday night, and I got sit down very quickly.I ordered #1 which a knife cut noodle with 3 dumplings in a chicken soup for myself, and a pork dumplings in chicken soup for Togo for my husband. (I forgot the #)I enjoyed my knife cut noodle soup which is very tasty.Unfortunately, my husband order just has thick soup only and ground meat on the side, no dumplings at all. I paid $18.99 for a dumplings soup Togo without dumplings. You guys need to double check your Togo order before handling to customer. I live far away and it's not worth to drive to Ktown for some credit.

Nice, home-y taste that warms the soul. Even during the weekday, the restaurant had almost every table filled for lunch. I got the kalguksu which was very hearty. The noodles had a good chewy texture and the broth was not thin. The dumplings also had a good bite, making everything feel satisfying on a cold day. Parking is hit or miss in the area. It may be better to park a block or two away and to walk to the restaurant instead.

MDK Noodles is such a solid spot for korean soup for any occasion. Parking was pretty easy since there's a structure nearby, and the parking meters were available given it was a Saturday. It's kind of hidden on the corner of a busy street, but not too hard to find. This was my second time here, and I had to get the Kalguksu and spicy Kalguksu again. They give you a big portion of noodles, so it feels super worth the price, which also wasn't drastically expensive from other soup restaurants. We waited about 30-40 minutes, but honestly, it was worth it. The food hit the spot, and I left feeling full and satisfied.

I remember having MDK a looong time ago and finally got to try it again. We came on a Sunday at around 1:30PM, and waited around 30mins. There were about 16 parties before us... so they were super busy. My friend and I both ordered the knife cut noodles in a spicy chicken broth. The broth was rich in flavor and was saurrr spicy. We also ordered a kimchi pancake to share on the side. The kimchi pancake was SO fluffy and flavorful. Paired with the sauce they gave you was soo yummy :-) I wish I knew beforehand how BIG the soup portion is because I'd go back and only order one soup to share because we both brought home so much leftovers xD As great as the food was I felt like we had to keep flagging the servers down to help us. I understand that it was busy, but we felt a bit neglected while at MDK. Nonetheless, the food was still so yummy. I'd come back but I wouldn't go out of my way for this, only if one of my friends was craving !! :-)

Came on a Saturday night, surprisingly it wasn't that busy, but the restaurant was pretty large to accommodate large parties. Shared family style amongst 4 people:*beef bulgolgi bibimbap: 4/5- delicious crispy rice at the bottom, the bulgolgi was savory and seasoned really well*knife cut spicy noodle soup: 3.5/5- warm, tasty, and medium spice -- tasty, but personally lacked flavor for me. would definitely come back and try a different noodle soup*bulgolgi: 5/5- my favorite dish of the night especially with the kimchi; well seasoned and savory, would 100% get this again if we came back

TLDR: BEST KIMCHI I'VE EVER HAD, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Not to mention the comfiest chicken broth soup and juicy dumplings! My partner and I came on a cold weekday night as soup felt the best way to warm us up, and boy am I glad we did! Although crowded, we were seated quickly. A casual bustling environment, it also felt warm and homely. You can serve yourself to utensils on the side of the tables, which was super neat and apparently reminiscent of how they serve them in South Korea! Food:-banchan: kimchi (i can see why they sell this by the jar: this was absolutely the most delicious kimchi i've EVER had! i regret not buying a jar, but i definitely will come here again!!)Cold noodles-i've only had cold broth a few times but this was so delicious! so flavorful and loved the noodle texture-Knife cut noodles in chicken broth(ugh, so delicious. i loved the knife-cut noodles and the flavorful chicken broth!)-pork dumplings(so, so juicy!!)Everything was so hearty and delicious to eat! Highly recommend coming here for comforting food!

mdk noodles has quickly become one of my favorite spots in ktown! the food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. the noodles in the bibimguksu were perfectly bouncy and chewy, and the rice cakes in the tteok mandu soup were cooked just right--not overly soft or mushy. the kimchi banchan was also amazing, with just the right amount of that rich, fermented flavor i love. definitely planning to come back soon to try more from the menu!

MDK has its own parking across the street on Harvard st and opposite of Luna apartment so it is super convenient. The restaurant validated the parking for $2. Or $4 every hour after. On weekend it is $5 all day. The service is actually not really good. They are slow and don't really pay attention. They wanted us to order super fast but that was fine. There are many restrictions like one take out box per order and no leftover kimchi to take out. I think all the food are decent but not surprisingly delicious. My soybean noodles or kong guksu is very bland. But that's also because I have never tried this dish before and don't really like the taste. It has no flavors. -steamed dumplings 4/5: The steamed dumplings are good but not extra ordinary. -spicy chewy noodles 5/5. This one is good because it is not sweet. The flavor was alright for me and I have no complaints. -green soybean noodles 1/5. It was so bland that nothing will be good with it, not even the kimchi. It is refreshing though and super filling. But it is pure vegan with no meat.-raw skate arrowroot noodles 3.5/5. I have mixed feelings about this. I love the noodles but the sauce is not spicy and it was sweet.-rice cake dumpling soup 5/5. I have no complaint. The soup was always maintained hot and the flavor was adequate. It is nothing extraordinary though. The portions are huge though. None of us finished their food. I would recommend order 3 noodles for a party of 5. Or a noodle bowl and a side of meat for a party of 2.

Went here with my friends to try this place out since I just got back from Korea. The food was pretty good, it is pretty different from other places I have tried. To compare to the one in Korea, in my opinion is not that similar like everyone said which is why I gave this place a 4 star. The service was fast and everything is clean. The restaurant itself is pretty big, they also give you validation on parking which costs us $2. Noodle: 9/10 soup was flavorful. The bowl is big, you can share that with two people. Dumpling: 6/10 it was kinda dry despite it having soup inside. The sauce to eat with it was so salty so try not to over dip. Bulgogi: 8/10 meat quality was good and the amount of meat was also good. Portion pretty big, can def share. Overall I would go back if I'm in the area but wouldn't make a trip just to eat this.
