Incredibly fresh, delicious and mostly vegan food. Everything is good but off the top of my head you gotta have the bourekas, the babaganoush, the hummus, the tahini, the broccoli, the potatoes, and the halva. Sincerely they make the best pita bread in all of LA. Seriously it's so good. The vibe is unpretentious and and everyone there is cool. My favorite restaurant in LA.

Amazing service, food and ambiance. But..... the smell of onion and spices is soooo strong that itStuck to my clothes and hair for the rest of the night until the next day morning. PleaseWorkout a ventilation system that doesn't let patrons stink so much for soo long afterwards. I have never had that experience in any restaurant before unless I had ordered a fajita at a Mexican restaurant.

This restaurant is in an unassuming area. It looks like closed warehouses at night. Parking is available on the street. It's free. On Google, it says vegetarian Israeli. I was excited to try. I made a reservation for a party of six, but it wasn't crowded inside at the time of my visit. Upon entering, I could smell roasted deliciousness. The server recommended getting several items to share. We almost ordered more pita because the spreads were so good. This is the food we ordered for six people (plus drinks): -Spicy tahini spread $14 (comes with 2 pita), 5/5 - I would get this again!-Sweet potato hummus $18 (comes with 2 pita), 3/5 - Good, but the spicy tahini was better.-Cheese boureka $12, 3/5 - This was just ok. It's got flavor, but other dishes were better in comparison. I wouldn't get this again. -Charred broccoli $17, 6/5 - This was a crowd favorite. I don't even know how to describe it - like broccoli that is so crispy it crumbles because it's charred. Why is something so simple like this the best dish we had that night!-Eggplant steaks with falafel $23, 4/5 - This was surprisingly flavorful. People who don't usually like eggplant thought it tasted good.-Shwarma oyster mushrooms $28, 4/5 - I wish this dish was a bigger portion size. This was tasty. When we left, our clothes smelled so strongly of smoke. We had an outside cake for the table. They brought it out for us with the candles lit. There is a cake fee of $3 per person.

It has been two years since my previous review and I have to say that I think Mazal has gotten even better. Last week we dined on the new vegan steak and it was fantastic, as was the seasonal sweet potato hummus (get the veggies on top). We also ordered the staples - Moroccan carrots, potatoes, broccoli. An incredible meal and probably the only thing on life that is getting better with age.

The food is fantastic! The best hummus and pita in LA. My non-vegetarian friends love it as much as I do.

Everything that came out blew away my expectations (which were already pretty high) the broccoli is unreal, dips to die for, and a special date covered in chocolate to end the night. Wow. Must come back.

Came here for date night on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. Parking in this area can be difficult, but the vibes here are so unique. Stepping inside, it feels very homey and smells delicious. The hummus with the pita bread was bursting with flavor and I enjoyed every bite. Same with the potatoes and the sauce it came on! The falafel on eggplant was the main star and I really liked this one. Everything including the sauce just came together and melted perfectly in my mouth.

Came back for a large birthday dinner and the staff was so accommodating, I have to give this spot another 5 star review! I booked a table for 14, but when 17 of us showed up, they managed to fit an extra table in so all of our friends could join. They also helped us with splitting credit cards beyond just 2 cards which we greatly appreciated, and they didn't force us to do a pre-fix menu which was great, considering that some of my friends attending had significant allergies. The food is delicious. Potatoes and hummus were highlights, but we enjoyed almost everything we ordered. The only thing I didn't love was the eggplant and falafel. The spaces outside and inside are both very well designed, and we all loved the vibe of the outdoor space on one of the first nights this year that felt like summer. Thanks Mazal for helping make my birthday a night to remember!!

Go once: Yes!Go again: Definitely!Well, we came back sooner than I expected, and it was very good again, not surprisingly. We had their excellent sweet potato hummus , B'Steeya, Vegan "Labneh" & Air-Fried Olives and Fennel Salad. Honestly, the B'Steeya is surprising because it's vegan lamb. I would have never known this was vegan except I read it in the menu. Honestly, if you know anyone who wishes they could have delicious vegetarian Israeli food, this is the spot.I'll be back here again.
