Everything is Yes! Tucked away in the heart of the city, Maruya offers a dining experience that is as much about attitude as it is about food. From the moment you walk through the door, the philosophy of the restaurant is clear: if you ask, the answer is yes. Want to swap ingredients? Yes. Looking for a rare wine pairing? Yes. Need a custom dessert? Yes. It's a dining concept that puts service, flexibility, and personal attention at the forefront, creating an experience that feels intimate and uniquely tailored to each guest.

wasn't busy late afternoon on a sunday. service was decent, we were seated quickly and the food came out very fast.we ordered a chicken katsu special combo and a salmon teriyaki special combo. the overall meal is huge and quite filling. the salmon was cooked perfectly. each bento comes with shrimp and vegetable tempura, egg rolls, miso soup, salad, chicken karaage, rice, and 4 pieces of a california roll. great portions. unfortunately, the flavors fell short. the chicken katsu and salmon were lacking in flavor, even with the provided sauces. the tempura was too overwhelming in the amount of batter and also lacked flavor. i'm amazed by the size of the bentos, but the taste was disappointing. i did enjoy the miso soup and california roll however.

Felt like going to Little Tokyo yesterday for lunch. Decided to try this place because it did not have a line. It's not a big restaurant. None of the restaurants in this mall are big. Not much in ambiance. Now we know why. Big portions of food but it was just okay. The waitress was nice to tell us the portions are huge so we ordered the Salmon Bento to share as we are not big eaters. It came with miso soup, 4 pieces of sushi, salad, and in the Bento Box fried chicken - overdone, a variety of tempura, rice, salmon teriyaki and a spring roll. The Salmon was a little overdone for us.

It was girl's night out and we had been before. Ambience is lovely. Service is lovely. I always get the Thai iced tea and a bento box with all the varieties of food. Last time, I had the chicken teriyaki. This time, I tried the chicken katsu. The price was 23 to 25 dollars but it's the rice, miso soup, tempura veggies, shrimp tempura, California rolls and salad. I was full before I got to the chicken kansu. Will definitely come again. Parking can be tricky because Tokoyo village is always packed but restaurant validates so that is a nice touch. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

I recommend the spicy vegetarian ramen... the broth was sooo savory and delicious and the noodles literally melt in your mouth. The aged tofu is a perfect appetizer to start with. Will be coming back tothe sushi

This is one of the few places in Little Tokyo Village that's open on a Tuesday between lunch and dinner. From the outside it doesn't look like much or even busy, but once you step inside it's much larger and most tables were filled. The staff were all very friendly and the service was efficient. The decor was modern but still had an old Tokyo Village feel to it. We ordered the chashu and tonkatsu ramen plus the sashimi appetizer. The differences between the two ramens are the size and the amount of chashu. (You can see from the photo.) I have to admit the presentation of the chashu ramen threw me off. Can't decide if it's "cool" or "creepy" lol. Either way, the ramen was good. The broth was rich and the chashu was nicely charred on the edges. I also liked that there wasn't a lot of other stuff in the ramen, just an egg and green onions. And if you like spice but worry it might be too much, ask for the spicy sauce on the side.

Grabbed dinner here on a Sunday evening. No line, so was seated immediately. Plenty of indoor and outdoor availability. The server was so friendly and sweet. Ordered a tonkatsu ramen and salmon roll. The ramen was great and umami with al dente noodles. The rice in the salmon roll tasted a bit mushy and overcooked, which overpowered the salmon. Located centrally in Little Tokyo, so plenty of people watching can occur, especially if you choose to sit outside!

Ok so I've been to this place so many times and the food is almost always amazing and they're pretty consistent with that. I've never had an issue with the service until today unfortunately. Long story short.. when me and my husband were done with our food--we went to the front to pay for it so we could leave. As we finish paying, Kathy (our server) sees that we haven't put anything in the tip section and she points to it and tells us that that's the amount before tip. We knew. So we told her "yeah, we know." And she kept asking us if the service was ok and we said yes it was fine. She literally just kept asking what went wrong with the service and insisted that we tip her. I don't see how, as a server, you're insisting that somebody tip you. It's uncomfortable.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. We were there around 12:30 and there was no wait since they were recently open. The food was all very good, with good quantities and friendly quick service. My BIL had the Chashu ramen, and boy, they do not skimp on the Chashu! It was like a roasted bacon, very tasty and slightly smoky. Others had the miso ramen (comment was that it was the perfect size and delicious,) udon, tuna sashimi with spicy yuzu salad (really good, with lots of perfectly ripe avocado) and some sushi. We shared the chicken kaarage as a starter, and it was really flavorful and crispy, and a lot of pieces! There is a small outdoor patio, and a nice indoor air-conditioned dining room. Definitely a good lunch spot in Little To,yo. We all enjoyed it. They also validate parking, if you park in the Japanese Village parking lot.
