Maru Sushi Bar

Not my first time dining here at Maru in Chatsworth. This is my go to place for AYCE sushi.Service is second to none. The entire staff from reception to wait staff to sushi chef were spot on when it came to excellent service.The place is clean and well kept. There's not a moment where things were left on the floor or on a table. They constantly clean all the while giving the best service possible.

I recently dined at Maru Sushi in Chatsworth with a group that included both adults and kids, and we had a lovely evening overall. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the staff was incredibly friendly, which made our experience enjoyable.We opted to do the AYCE option which made the most sense for our party, although the kids probably did not eat $16 worth of food. Most of the dishes we ordered were delicious, and the variety of options kept everyone in the group happy. However, the oysters we tried didn't taste as fresh as we had hoped, which was a bit of a disappointment. The service, while friendly, was on the slower side, and we had to wait a little longer than expected for our food.That said, the sushi and other dishes were flavorful, and we appreciated the quality of the ingredients. Despite the minor hiccups, we still had a great time and would consider returning for another meal. It's a nice spot for a casual family dinner!

Regular here for years until I came here with my friend and sat down. Very obviously racism because I have been here before with white friends and we have been treated well with no issues. We came in at 3. Our first server was great, but then they switched shifts and we were ignored. Mind you, we ordered PREMIUM all you can eat. For our first round, our food was brought out, but not completely. We were missing a roll that was marked off as given to us. Surely, they'd know better and bring it out later. Nope. We waited 20 minutes and I had to GET UP and tell a waiter that my roll wasn't brought out. Servers were walking past us and even avoided eye contact with us...if I have to get up and tell you, I am already not going to tip. They take our paper with our round two marked off. They bring my roll out, not the rest of the food, and I had to ASK for them to fill my water. We waited for another 45 minutes and nobody came. They did the same thing with a Hispanic family next to us, but a white couple came in after us, were served promptly, and left before us. We were ignored for 2 hours so we just left and I won't be coming back. Congratulations on losing a customer of 3+ years.

I wish we could give half stars (as the experience was a solid 3.5) but I rounded up because of how nice the employees are here. The pros of this restaurant: the fish is fresh, the staff is friendly and I even said I didn't like an item and they took it back without charging us which was very nice. The food was delicious and the premium all you can eat did not disappoint. The cons: it took forever to seat us even though there were plenty of empty tables. Also, the service was very slow. When we first got there it wasn't busy at all but the food took forever to come out. I would come back and try it again (maybe I went on an off day). The most important part was that the food was good. And I like that it's local and close so I can pop in again and give the service a second chance.

This is out go to all you can eat sushi spot. I willBe honest with you, the service is not the greatest. The sushi is very good. We don't get rolls but we see a lot of people getting them and for an all you can eat they are huge. We get their sushi and all of them are very tasty. My favorite is the scallop sushi but for some reason they always forget to bring it. They are slow sometimes and a lot of times they forget items and they bring it in the second round. You have to keep asking. So if you go here have patience with servers. For the price it's pretty good sushi. Other than the service the place needs a good deep cleaning. The side of the boots are full of dirt. The ceilings have cobwebs. I hope they can address the issues they will be so much better.

We visited this location for my dad's birthday we were a group of 10 and there was plenty of space. We got there during their happy our time frame which is a great price from 12-3PM.It had everything from rolls, fish, and appetizers. Some of the appetizers alone were amazing. I would never have found this place but all you can to is worth it. It is tucked away but there is enough parking. The inside it's not incredibly new, nor is the tables and chairs. Most of us used chopsticks but they were running low on forks so we only got 1. The food is was takes to where you don't mind as much.Our server was helpful to answer all our questions. We will definitely be coming back!

This place is great, tried it for the first time and the other reviews did not disappoint. The sushi was very good, the rolls were not filled with nothing but rice the staff was very nice Overall great experience and definitely worth it !

Came here for dinner & got the Premium AYCE. I was pleasantly surprised because I usually have low expectations for AYCE spots, but Maru Sushi did not disappoint. My favorite roll was the Mango Salmon & I also loved the salmon belly, yellowtail belly & Hokaido scallop sushi (these are on the premium menu). I didn't love the sauces they put on the yellowtail & some of the other rolls, but luckily I was able to ask them to make it without the sauce. Skip the 911 & the Dragon rolls. The service was also great! Our waiters were very attentive, friendly & on it. If you leave a review on Yelp they give you a free green tea ice cream. I ordered it & I'm glad I did because it was really good & the serving was enough to share. I'll definitely be back!
