Marsa Mediterranean Cuisine

Amazing food, comes from the heart as it hugs your stomach. It's for pick up only, located next to the gas station's convenience store. The employee was friendly and patient with my questions. I learned Marsa was once a restaurant on Wilshire but closed during the pandemic. I like to judge a Mediterranean place by their babaghanouj, as I love eggplant. They were low on ingredients for some menu items, but with extra time they offered to make me babaghanouj, which was great, slight smoky.Chicken Tajine - Thank you for recommending couscous over rice with my chicken while also giving me a side of rice with diced veggies. The couscous was very small, not pearl-sized. A bite with that, chicken and a roasted vegetable was perfect, so delicious and comforting. It came with on point hummus, a simple but delicious salad, pickled veggies and garlic paste!Their vast menu has kebabs, shawarmas, soups and a long list of appetizers. Some entree prices are high but its for quality, healthy excellence. I have found my new favorite Mediterranean place! Can't wait to come back.

Excellent food, prices, and the service is above and beyond. It's my go to restaurant.I highly recommend Marsa.

This is not what I expected. There isn't a sit-down area to eat and yes, the full-size professional kitchen is adjacent to a gas station. However, based on the reviews and the fact that the cook working the late shift barely spoke english is a sign that the food is authentic.Be patient and respectful. They are doing something pretty special here.This is Moroccan food, but can fall in a "Mediterranean" food category. So... babaganush and hummus are expected. We got three of their platter dishes and that was enough for dinner and lunch the next day. It made for good leftovers.But from the photos. I was expecting s full service experience. Instead, I ordered at a window, waited in my car (it was a cold and windy evening), got my food and went home to enjoy it.Not sure, but I think their main business is catering.Had I just ordered the hummus platter and some kebabs, it would have been fine. But we also ordered the Braised Lamb Tajin which is absolutely delicious.Just for the Lamb dish... I will likely go back... it had wonderful flavors and I would have a hard time identifying it as lamb because it was so tender, juicy and savory.Main takeaways are: it's a takeout place, it's an unusual location for a full professional kitchen and get the lamb shank...

We came to pick up an online takeout order but there was no one working there even though the order said it was ready for pickup for already 15 minutes. I'm going to assume that there was a discrepancy in hours listed for location being open and actual location hours. They apologized for my order wasn't ready and asked for 5 minutes. It took about 15 minutes and they offered a complimentary beverage for the wait, which was very nice.the beverage was unique and worth a try! The food itself was just okay in my opinion. Please note the location is next to a gas station but they are separate entities.

Ordered 3 times on Uber eats and 3 times cancelled by the restaurant. Hit or miss, they have delivered before. My advice to the manager or owner: Don't take an order you can't fulfill and then cancel it 20 minutes later.

stopped by to get chicken shawarma to go - but they said it was 22$. It's 15.99$ to order through yelp and it's 11.99$ on physical printed menu. The guy in the window said "old location on wilshire price, it's 22$ now". What ???

I had to stop by because the photos looked amazing!! It went from wanting to do a sit down to hole in the wall real fast. There is a small window you can order from the food was prepared very quickly, and I was able to take it to a nearby spot in front of the beach and eat it. It was very flavorful, and the portions were large and shareable. The owner was very sweet and I would definitely come back!

The food was delicious!!! We got the beef shawarma sandwich & plate. Everything was fresh and made when we ordered. The owner (assuming it was the owner) was very nice and told us everything was good - he wasn't wrong! Hummus and pitas were perfect. 10/10 would recommend and come back for. We did eat out of the back of our car, no seating available as it is at a gas station but well worth it!

My deliver was the grossest, saltiest, nastiest food I have ever ordered and thats saying a lot. it literally tasted like a pound of salt was poured over my Chicken Tanjine. One bite and I threw it away, avoid this dump at all costs.
