Free parking lot is available.Their jjajangmyun is in the upper tier in Ktown. I've heard their jjampong is also good and their kkampoong saewoo (fried shrimp?) is confirmed tasty with juicy shrimp. Intimate dining area that takes you back. The servers are Korean and may not necessarily speak the best English, but they're courteous and do more than enough. I'll eventually rank all of these spots, but this one is definitely a staple!

Spicy seafood jjajangmyeon and jjamppong here are incredibly delicious. Among the Chinese restaurants in Ktown LA, this one is definitely one of the best.

A regular spot for us with our go to being one large order a piece of the jjambbong and jjajangmyun along with an order of the shrimp fried rice. The portions are always large, pretty easily feeding a family of 5 (though remember these are large orders of the noodles, which can be asked for but I'm not sure that they are written out on the menu). The inside of the restaurant feels like the mom & pop business that it is, sometimes reminding me of the simple places you might see in some kdramas. My father has been coming here for decades, and doesn't seem to have noticed the differences that others have following the ownership change. The jjajang is consistently delicious and comforting, with just the right amount of chew to the noodles and a good mix of substance to the sauce. The fried rice also is always great with a good amount of shrimp and that impossible to replicate at home taste of Chinese takeout fried rice. I will say the jjambbong is usually the star of the show, though just how excellent it is seems to vary to me. While it's always great, there have been times we've ordered it where it seems to be just that little bit better. Who knows, maybe it's just in my head, but I will say you consistently get a full bowl of delicious seafood and noodles that never disappoints. The service is also good and responsive, no complaints there. I will caution against going on a particularly hot LA day because you won't find frigid AC conditions which might make eating the hot broth of the jjambong a little less pleasant. Overall, a great place to get some comfort food with large portions, great taste, and cheap prices.

Mandarin Garden Restaurant is my go to place in the area! The food is always great, fresh and filling. The shrimp fried rice and kong pop chicken is my favorite thing to get on my visits. The service is consistent, friendly, fast and top of the line. The best in the area for sure! I have recommended this spot to everyone and Would recommend to everyone!

issa no for me dawg.we walked in and were immediately seated and they were so incredibly nice. i really didnt want to write anything bad but the food....it was bad to say the leastthe fried chicken was rubbery and the seasoning was lost...just like I was sitting there trying to decipher what i was eatingthe shrimp with broccoli...looked like shrimp with undercooked broccoli surrounded by what i could only call "goo".i was heartbroken when both food items came out to 55 dollars.the only positive was that there was a ton of food....but it made me sad how bad it wasif i ever go back i would probably get jjajangmyun as it looked bwussin when i saw someone eating it.

Food was good...I just felt a little uncomfortable bc the employees were constantly watching us eat...I think the staff there was watching us eat to see if there was anything they can do to make our dining experience better...for instance they brought us extra plates when they saw my husband giving me a bite from his noodle which I didn't take a picture of since it's just jajang myun and another time they brought spoon when they saw my husband take a bite of my fried rice...but it was so uncomfortable that I couldn't finish eating my food and had to box them and go. We weren't the only customers in the beginning but there was a time when all the customers left and it was just my boyfriend and I dining there and they kept watching us eat...we're both Korean by the way so I guess if you're not and you have this same experience, just know it's not you. It might be their approach to being attentive? Or maybe I had food on my face lolThe shrimp with spicy tomato sauce was interesting and I didn't really taste the tomatoes. Apparently this dish was my husband's regular appetizer growing up so he ordered it since I never had it before. There's some spice to it and paired well with the shrimp fried rice which got greasy/ from all the oil on the rice and the jajang sauce. Definitely will return for other items on the menu. I highly recommend the half and half bowl of jajang myun and champong bowl if you can't decide on what to order.

Came here on a whim with my boyfriend last night. We were looking for a place to eat and this restaurant had a good old rugged look inside as if their jja jjang myun or jjam ppong was the best in town. The interior isn't the greatest, but I didn't mind it at all. Definitely has that mom and pop shop feel. He ordered the jja jjang myun--a combo of the black bean noodle and spicy seafood noodle dish. Both are great on their own but if you're indecisive like me, this is a great dish for you cause you get to try the best of both worlds. However, I'll admit--the black bean noodle dish was pretty bland in my opinion and they skipped out on the sauce which maybe could have been a factor as to why I gave it 2 stars. Plenty of parking within the plaza if you are worried about it but it overall wasn't the most appetizing meal for me. Of course there's days when it could be a one off moment, but for the most part it was okay for me.

We notified the restaurant that the dumplings we ordered were burnt and we were not comfortable eating it. Their response was very dismissive and rude. The service was incredibly disappointing. All that was needed was a simple apology and for them to work with us for a solution. Instead we got defensiveness and impatience. I'm not sure why we were treated this way. Really all we expect is food that we can actually consume and basic courtesy.
