Antonio was super nice and professional! Amazing customer service the food was delicious and it was a great experience for a birthday celebration! Thank you Antonio for making this experience unique.

I came to this establishment to celebrate some milestone birthdays of my sisters. While we could have chosen any other place, we decided to choose Mama X Dios. We had heard that the atmosphere and overall experience was "the best" but, after trying it for myself...I COMPLETELY disagree. My party of 17 was seated as we arrived and were instantly asked if we wanted bottle service. After refusing, our server seemed disengaged and hurried. The lighting is very dim, the music is very loud, and it seemed like every 5 minutes, there was a birthday song and dance.Our waiter was visually overwhelmed by the size of our party and, while he tried to accommodate everyone's request, his irritation and frustration was very evident. We inquired with our server if he could get some assistance and he assured us that he could "handle it". We had 2 other servers come over so we asked f he could get some assistance and although they agreed to "ask him if he needs some help", we saw no change and no help. Our drink orders came out kinda slow-with a waiter wasting a drink, taking almost 15 minutes to replace it, only coming back with the wrong drink. The food came out and my surf and turf had an extreme small portion of mashed potatoes and a horribly dry lobster tail-I couldn't even eat it! One reason is because it was too dry rot even remove from the shell and 2, I had no silverware! I asked for water with lemon and received a glass that was only filled halfway...and no lemon. I ordered the guacamole with steak and received fried pork cracklings to eat with instead of chips. I requested chips and was given a plastic bag with 3 tostados-WHAT?!? I eventually asked the waiter if the staff was prepared for large parties and he replied, "no." He also shared that there were not enough cooks OR servers. I found this revelation very disturbing because, each time they celebrated a birthday, it would be about 6-8 servers available to dance and sing. Ultimately, my party was so frustrated with the food and service that we decided to pay the bill and end the night. For those that decided to take their food with them, we were provided with very nice containers and bags (maybe the marketing should be more on the food and service vs. the take home bags and bottle service entertainment-just a thought). The manager came over to "check in on our service" and instead of taking accountability, she proceeded to tell us that "the server normally tells the customer that the lobster tail isn't the best piece to order" only to follow up with: "we have had a lot of complaints regarding the lobster tail being dry". Ummmm...hellooooo?!! She SAID she would "take a look" at our bill and make an adjustment (we ordered FOUR surf and turfs), along with "talking to the chef" but when our $1500.00 bill was delivered, there was a $23 dollar convenience fee (convenience to, and for, WHO!?), a 20% service charge equaling $239, and only ONE adjustment to for ONE surf and turf.To say that we were disappointed is an understatement. We didn't get the birthday dance and celebration because we weren't asked if we were celebrating anything and we didn't buy any shots. We each had to pay the valet fee of$15 per vehicle because, although street parking is available, it was all taken. And we all left unimpressed, disappointed, and HUNGRY!Bottom line: the aesthetics are nice, the party experience mind be exiting but everything else is subpar at best. Don't go-you've been warned.

Honestly, the music is too fucking loud. People having dinner are not trying to be at a club. You cannot hear the person sitting next to you, you can't have a reasonable discussion with the staff. After 90 minutes our ears are ringing. This is fucking stupid.

I don't typically leave reviews but here I needed to. Let's start with the food, if you're coming here for a birthday or anything, you should probably stop and eat somewhere first because the food takes forever and then it tastes pretty terrible. The drinks are disgusting, full of concentrate and over priced. The icing on the cake for me was when after they give the bill they mention a 4% charge for using a credit card. I've never experienced this in my life. Will definitely never go back. Would give it 0 stars if I could. I would suggest getting a taco party pack from Taco Bell and a bottle of Jose Cuervo and enjoy it in the parking lot, you'll have a better meal and time.

This is my new FAVORITE restaurant. Chef Misael is a magician in the kitchen. I had the bacon wrapped fillet and lobster and everybite was just perfect. My amazing server Alejandra made sure I had the very best experience and I will definitely be coming back over and over again.

So expensive for absolutely NOTHING. My family and I went for my sister's birthday and ended up eating at Denny's after. The food tastes bland, no flavor whatsoever, the plate it's bigger that the food that comes with it. We ended up asking for a refund because when they brought the food and we took a bite we were like "what in the world" lol. They only refund us 2 plates. The food took about 40 minutes to get to us, we we're desperate and hungry, I DO NOT recommend. Awful experience.

DO NOT COME HERE YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY. service was good until I said no to bottle service in which we all know bottle service is $$$ after we said no to bottle service they stop coming to ask us if we needed anything. Food was horrible and way over price ..food truck food is better than this.

THEY ACTUALLY DESERVE ZERO STARS FOR THIS EXPERIENCE!I'm not sure where to even start; as this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had! And to top it off, we came here to celebrate my dad's 75th birthday, and my wife works at one of the top hotels in downtown LA close to the restaurant and recommends this restaurant to multiple guests. She has now informed her entire staff not to recommend this restaurant to any of their guests due to this experience!First off My Wife emailed them our reservation to ensure that we had a reservation right when they opened at 5 PM letting them know that this was a special birthday for her father-in-law. They were responsive and they said perfect they would take care of things. We get to the restaurant at 4:50 PM , they let our family come in (which was a party of 5 people); we are the first guests in the restaurant and they seat us on the patio, which I will not knock the restaurant for its ambiance as it is gorgeous. Our server Sebastian was supposed to help us but I'm not sure where or what happened that we were forgotten about at multiple points during our dinner. We had informed him at the beginning that we had a show to catch and we needed to be out by 6:30ish and he said he understood and will do everything he can to ensure that everything is smooth and we get out of here. We ordered our first round of drinks and appetizers which one of them was the cheese and chorizo fondue that comes with tortillas but the dish only came with four tortillas and they are small corn tortillas and the dishes is big. So we ask him to bring additional tortillas, well we don't get those tortillas until the appetizers are basically done and we're receiving our entrées. Then we go to order drinks with dinner since no one asked us if we wanted to order another round prior to the entrees arriving; all of our glasses were empty for a while. He suggests doing their wine bottle service which comes with a birthday song and celebration and little sparklers and My Wife and I say OK let's go and do that so we can have wine with our dinner and that'll be cute. We didn't get the bottle service, we went our entire Dinner with no drinks and we were seeing them doing bottle service for other tables inside the restaurant. My mom asked for hot sauce to go with her dinner. We never received it. We asked for a second round of this cocktail that is supposed to smoke and it comes in this cute little bathtub with a rubber ducky, but asked for it to be served with no ice since it's a champagne drink but they bring it over with ice. When we tell them, they take it back and when it is brought back to the table you can tell that they just scooped out the ice, because the drink was half empty. We asked another server to grab their manager since Sebastian wasn't coming back to the table and it was already 6:09pm. The manager, Mario, came over and we explained to him that this whole experience was unacceptable, especially being the first guests, the first order, we were celebrating a big birthday and made that known prior both in email and when we got to the restaurant, and we told Sebastian that we had a time restraint, and to see other tables being served and getting service when we were not was completely unacceptable. He didn't know what to say, and tried to come up with excuses of why this could've happened. He left and said he would see what he could do to make this better; so we wait and it gets to be 6:20pm instead of him coming over he sends Sebastian over and says the discount his manager was able to give us is only $38. Both My Wife and I were appalled by this; this was an absolutely insulting number on top of the manager himself not even having the decency to come back, but sent the guy who we've had problems with all night! We tell him to go back and get his manager because this is unacceptable. Again, we wait and Mario still doesn't show up, but sends Sebastian back again and says the best his manager can do is $71. At this point we're thoroughly upset Because it just shows what kind of manager this person is as well as how little respect they have for their customers. So we wound up paying a $300+ bill, they didn't provide us with the receipt even though we requested it on their machine, we didn't get the birthday celebration that we were looking for, no dessert, no wine bottle service, no happy birthday singing experience; this was absolute garbage! It takes a lot for me to say that, but there are no other words for this experience that is supposed to be high end. And let me say that My Wife and I don't have a problem paying for expensive meals or what not, especially when the service is good and the food is good, but this was not worth it to say the least.I encourage those who are thinking about coming to this restaurant and to choose another one, because you will be sorely disappointed!
