This little spot in the NoHo Arts District has become our go to for a quick, tasty, and convenient meal. It's perfect for our midweek date nights where we get to eat and catch up. Let me begin by saying the service is great. The brother and sister team that run Maki Noho are friendly, professional and pay attention to what you may need. I love seeing their mom bustling around in the kitchen. We always feel very welcome when we go there. We like to order lots of different plates and mix it up between the makis, small bites, soups, and other items that may catch our eyes. Everything is consistently fresh, well-prepared and very delicious. We've tried a whole range of items on our visits and have never been disappointed. I love supporting small businesses and Maki Noho is one of those places where we know we'll be going time after time.

A decent spot for a quick sushi fix while in North Hollywood, especially when visiting the barcade nearby, Player One. This must have been a boba or ice cream place in a past life, because the interior is very odd for a serious sushi place. Prices are pretty premium, despite the appearance, and I'm not sure the price point is warranted after dining here. The open-faced hand rolls are okay ... maybe a 3.5 out of 5, if I'm being generous. The sashimi was also okay. The baked mussels were good. The cauliflower tempura was probably the best thing I had. We mentioned a gluten allergy and the staff said they would be careful, but my friend had a reaction, anyway. :( Street parking out front. Don't forget to pay your meter. We unfortunately won't be back, especially given the gluten allergic reaction, but that shouldn't stop others from coming and trying this place for themselves.

Really solid maki and appetizers!~ Every maki i've had has been, fresh, tasty, and worth the money. Staff is always polite and attendingI do say steer clear of the nigiri! Each nigiri has a "sauce" on top of it that is not advertised in the menu. One of them came with a spicy green salsa on top. I'm here for fusion, but I was not expecting my nigiri to have a spicy green salsa on top that overpowered and ruined the flavor of the fish. Though i'm sure if you ask for it without the sauce, it'll be delicious.

This has become one of my favorite goto spots in Noho for Japanese inspired dishes. I love their makis "rolls" which are always fresh. They also serve high quality sashimi. I love their grilled yellow tail collar too. Everything I've ordered there has been delicious including this flavorful vegan dish of grilled Brussel sprouts.

Getting sushi delivered can sometimes be a little dicey. Getting Delivery from Maki NoHo was TERRIFIC!!! Everything's so fresh! Amazing sushi! Perfectly cooked salmon collar! Good size portion of cucumber salad, and edamame... we had a sushi picnic in the hotel room and it was fabulous!!

They are the best! Food is always consistently yummy. I've been going since they opened and they are always so welcoming. My son loves it so much that he picks to go to Maki NoHo every opportunity he gets after his games/practices. That's saying a lot bc 10yo kids are picky! So you know it's good if a kid is a repeat customer!

Definitely 5 stars at this price point! The menu is very straight forward. No gimmicky, over-sauced, over-stuffed rolls. Just delicious and fresh ingredients. We ordered:- baked mussels- albacore nigiri- signature hand rolls- blooming onion roll- double salmon rollI recommend all of the above! Everything was a hit. There is street parking or a garage for the complex. The space is small but clean & bright. Staff was attentive & friendly. Recommend!

Food - when I crave sushi, this is what my taste buds want. Service - so very kind, helpful and smiling, including everyone in the kitchen on my way out. Ambiance - warm and upscale without being stuffy. A seating table faces a giant window that lets the breeze in perfectly for summer nights. Maki has been popping up during my ongoing game of "what should I eat today?" I only grabbed a takeout rainbow roll for me and miso soup for my sickie at home. But the fish was all so fresh and buttery and tasty. The rice was nice and sticky and the layer was just thick enough to hold the crabby cucumber goodness inside. Can't wait to come back and taste more of their menu like their hand rolls and udon. Thank you!

We were in north Hollywood for an event and had a short window to get food before it began. Walking the stores nearby, we came across Maki NoHo.It was small but very clean and had a welcoming sense. Through the windows we could see a family eating and a few other patrons sitting at communal bar-like table--all seemed happy so we decided to check it out. They have a limited number of tables and I could tell that they had a lot of online delivery orders as there were multiple couriers waiting by the cashier.Looking above the cashier however was a bit of an oddity--even though they had 2 large monitors on the wall, neither had menus shown. To view their menu, you had to scan the QR codes at each table to bring up their menus as PDFs. The menu was a bit hard to read as everything was kind of small and the horizontal distance from food item to price meant that you could only see both when the menu was fit to screen... but if you zoomed in to read either the food item name or its price, the other relevant information went off screen (they could fix this by designing the menu for smart device screens with bigger fonts). We ordered their fried cauliflower w chili, signature hand rolls, tempura spicy tuna rolls, and salmon skin maki and enjoy it all. The cauliflower were covered in a tempura batter and were crispy and spicy. The signature hand rolls had a subtle but pleasing flavor (the salmon had a bit of a sesame oil flavoring which I really liked). The salmon skin rolls and tempura spicy tuna rolls were fairly typical but decent and filling. The staff were very friendly and the windows meant you could see into the kitchen. This seemed like a small, family-run restaurant. We're rarely in the NoHo area but would gladly dine here again the next event we attend in the area.
