My 2nd time here & tried more of their items. I just don't have a photo of the crispy rice with mushroom which was ok but nothing crazy. Their drinks are delicious! I'd skip their pasta dishes, not the greatest. Everything is fairly priced and portions are family style & perfect for sharing! Ambiance 9/10Service 10/10Food 8/10

I celebrated my birthday at Majordomo and i had a great time! From the attentive service to the high quality food and ambiance, I would definitely come again for any occasion. We ordered the appetizer Bing with truffle honey butter which was honestly my favorite item! The Bing was so fluffy and chewy, and paired really well with the truffle honey butter. We then got the whole plate short rib (serves 4-6), which gets served as slices with ssam (lettuce and sauces) and then the remaining beef fat gets cooked into this delicious fried rice with lemon zest and horse radish. We ended the night with a chocolate cherry pie which had a rich taste but the tartness in the cherry sauce complemented it really well.I highly recommend sitting outdoor since they have heated lamps and beautifully lit trees.

The food was amazing & the ambience was SO CUTE!Our waiter was Daniel and he was AMAZING! He made sure we (party of 10) had everything we needed. We have about 5 courses to share with the table & it was perfect. Not to mention it was a Friday night! The food was so delicious & we will DEFINITELY be back :)

We came on a busy Friday night for Dine LA and had a fantastic experience. Even though we had a reservation, we arrived early and grabbed seats at the bar to try some drinks. The Black Forest, Killing Moon, and Sesame Manhattan were all spirit-forward and strong--great choices if you enjoy bold cocktails.Once seated at the chef's table, we opted for the Dine LA set menu, which was an excellent way to experience a variety of dishes. We started with the Bing, paired with cultured butter + honey chickpea dip and ricotta with jam and chili crunch--both rich and flavorful. The Oxtail Ragu with rice cakes was a standout, with a fantastic texture and depth of flavor. The Smoked Pork Belly had a great balance of spice from the Sichuan peppercorn, and the Grilled Pork Chop was tender and well-seasoned with a nice hit of fish sauce and lime. The Roast Chicken with white beans and kimchi breadcrumbs was also solid. For dessert, we had the Buttermilk Panna Cotta and the Chocolate Pot de Crème. The panna cotta was outstanding--creamier and softer than the traditional version, with passion fruit adding a refreshing contrast. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The only slight downside was the noise level. Since the space is open-plan and packed, it got quite loud, making conversation a bit difficult. That said, the service was professional and friendly, and the overall experience was fantastic. We will definitely be back for next year's Dine LA and can't wait to try more from the menu!

I came to Majordomo for my birthday. Great ambiance for date night and very attentive service. This is a pretty upscale place with upscale dining so expect to pay a bit even if you're just ordering a salad. Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious but the price and portion ratio doesn't justify the higher price point for some dishes IMO. I did get a great experience out of it though, so no regrets. Just not sure if this is somewhere I would come back often. If this is your first time, be wary that the area is supposedly a bit more sketchy since it's in Chinatown. It's located in an area surrounded by warehouses. I ended up parking in valet to just not risk anything happening. Here's what I ate: - Little Gem Salad: we wanted a veggie dish to balance out the carbs we ordered and this didn't disappoint! If you're not looking a pricing, i highly recommend this but for like a handful of lettuce stems, it was pricey needless to say. - Ricotta Jam Chili crunch bing (not pictured): I don't know if i would recommend the bing. It was good but nothing really special? They give you one bing "bread" and the bread is quite small so they recommend you order another bing on the side because they give you more jam ratio to bread. This is how they upsell you. I'd probably be much happier if they give a better proportion of bread:jam.- clam lo mein: This was delicious and not overly "clammy", but calling it lo mein is really inaccurate. It's essentially just clam spaghetti. - mushroom crispy rice: really loved how simple this dish was! They put in a variety of mushrooms and it comes piping hot in a cast iron pot so that the rice gets crunchy. I wish the server had let it sit for a little bit to get it more crispy because he immediately mixed it. This is one of their most popular dishes. I would suggest if they have a seasonal crispy rice dish, get that one instead because the mushroom crispy rice is a staple item they probably will keep on the menu. There was a beef crispy rice when I went but the server told us to get the mushroom rice but I wish we had actually ordered the beef one instead knowing that that one is in rotation. - sizzling wagyu skirt steak: their own take on chimichurri steak - i think. Meat was cooked to perfection, a perfect medium rare. We had initally smelled something REALLY good a few tables down from us and we inquired about it. The server told us it was the wagyu skirt steak but after we received it, I think it was a different dish. Nonetheless, we enjoyed it! I came here with my fiancé and 2 of my friends so the amount we ordered fed us decently. Not full but left content. If you have a bigger stomach, be prepared for a pretty expensive meal.I will say, I'm a bit disappointed that Majordomo doesn't do anything small to help celebrate special occasions. Not that I'm expecting anything but as an upscale restaurant, it would be nice to do something small for people who come to celebrate.

Had an amazing first time at Majordōmo celebrating our friend's birthday! We were originally supposed to dine at a different restaurant, but they would not accommodate our party size of 10, but I think it was meant to be!Daniel took care of us that evening. He guided us through the entire menu and did an outstanding job! From service to recommendations, everything was on point and no food was wasted!Let's get into the meat of things (pun intended)! When I'm with this group, we usually order one of each item on the menu and, although that wasn't the case this time, here's what we got:* A Dozen Oysters* Tuna Carpaccio* Smoked Eggplant & Pine Nut Bing* Little Gem Salad* Crispy Potatoes* Smoked Pork Belly* Wagyu Beef Tongue Katsu* Mushroom Crispy Rice* Bone-In Pork Chop* Whole Plate Short Rib* Tres Leches Cake* Chocolate Pie* Buttermilk Panna Cotta* The MajorDonutOkay, first and foremost, if you're going to order the whole short rib plate, you need to order it at least 24 hours in advance. I highly recommend this dish, the meat is so flavorful by itself, but the condiments to pair enhance it even more! You also get this dish two ways- first they slice and serve it in front of you and then they make a short rib fried rice with the fat and trimmings, so it's really worth it if you're going with a large party. Everything we ordered was good and curated by Daniel, but the ones I really enjoyed were the wagyu beef tongue katsu and the mushroom crispy rice, I definitely wanted more of those items, but we had to share between 10 people, so next time I'm going solo! LOL!As far as dessert goes, the panna cotta and MajorDonut stole the show for me! There was a table side presentation for the donut, which is cool if you're looking for content! All in all, this place was a hit for me and I want to try some of their other menu items!

First time going here and I've been waiting to try this place. Parking is across the street and a bit strange. It's down a street that almost looks like an alley but there is a lot at the end. Parking was $12 I believe. We had a reservation at 5:45 on a Tuesday so the restaurant was pretty empty. David Chang was serving a table that might've been his family so that was pretty cool. We came for the Dine LA menu and ordered everything on it. We also got the mushroom crispy rice. Omgggg that was one of my favs. Would totally get it again and even bring people here for it. So savory and amazing with the perfect variety of textures. My other favourites were the oxtail ragú, macaroni & chickpea, and the pork chop. The little gem salad was also really good. The fish sauce with the pork chop and onion made for the perfect bite. Also the miso in the macaroni was something I never knew I needed. We also did the wine pairing option and all the pairings were fantastic. For dessert, my favorite was the buttermilk panna cotta. The coconut rice pudding was also pretty good. Overall, I'd definitely come back and try the rest of the menu. Slight downsides: Service was good for the most part but when it got busy it seems like they forgot about us for a bit. Some of the wine pairings came late when we were almost finished with the dish. I assume that's cause they were busy.

During DineLA we had a girls night out at Majordomo and for many of us it was our first time and iit did not disappoint Since it was DineLA we got to try an array of items and highlight dishes as the little gem salad, the Bing Bread and dips and pork belly. We added on the famous mushroom crispy rice and crispy potatoes were a 10/10. If you go...you definitely need to get these items! The cocktails were great too and loved the asian fusion approach to them...my favorite was the sesame Manhattan. As expected from a Momofuku restaurant, service was great. Our server Talor was awesome and was patient walking us through our first visit. We can't wait to come back to try more dishes, and especially their famous 24 hour brisket SAAM.Highly recommend Majordomo!!

I came for the NYE 5 course dinner and it was phenomenal. Each guest paid $150 which is a bit steep but definitely worth it. The staff was super energetic and made the atmosphere so fun. The food tasted super fresh and you can tell each dish was made with intention. The oxtail dish was definitely a favorite because it had rice cake in it that was divine. The only thing that was meh was the cocktails. Most people in my party didn't love their drink. Parking is not too bad. You can park on the street or pay $12 for valet parking.

We had the most incredible meal tonight. And the most incredible server to ever serve - SAM. Sam was a refreshing presence in our evening. She was not only attentive, she went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary needs and all around vibes. She is spectacular and deserves not only an immediate raise but also to be exalted amongst men. Thank you Sam and the incredible kitchen at Majordōmo for an unforgettable evening. Amen.
