When there is always a long line waiting, the food is definitely good and Luv Dduk is definitely worth the wait the hype with the quality of the food very consistent every single time. The tteokbokki is very flavorful with a good mix of spiciness, sweetness, and savoriness. Adding the beef ribs makes the dish even more filling and "fancy" (the hostess/host offered to debone and cut the ribs into bite-size pieces every time, making dining experience very enjoyable). The ramen goes so well with the sauce, definitely recommended! The Korean fried chicken interior was juicy with a very crispy lightly battered exterior. The chicken is already good on its own, adding the garlic soy sauce makes it ten times more delicious. And the chicken katsu. It's called jumbo for a reason. It's huge!

A little pricey but great Korean food in the area.Luv Dduk specializes in simple Korean foods such as fried chicken, katsu and fried rice. I came over the weekend for lunch with one other person. There wasn't a wait during lunch time but it was busy. We only shared the army stew ($30) which was a large hot pot that we didn't finish with some left overs. The stew was super flavorful and I liked that it had plenty of meats (sausages, spam, sausages). It was pretty good and worth the price. The inside of this place is very casual. It's great for small or larger groups. It can get pretty busy during dinner on the weekends. Since it's small there may be a wait. The staff was very nice and the food came out fairly quickly. Bowls and plates are all disposable. I liked that waters and everything you need is brought out so you don't really need to flag them for anything. I would come back and I want to try the bogolgi fries.

We were looking for somewhere that was open late after our road trip to SoCal and this popped up! It's a cute small neon bar vibe with fried chicken, Korean army stew and more! We settled on their bugolgi garlic noodles and the garlic noodles themselves were delicious! The bugolgi was on the saltier side though..! The garlic chicken wings as well were a bit disappointing, the seasoning sauce was delicious but the crust to chicken ratio was about 85-15% :/ definitely wished the wings were a bit more meaty or there was less crust..! Seasoning again was delicious though! The service was great and quick, they have a yelp waitlist but also take your order while you wait so your food comes out super quickly once you're seated.

Ok, to admit, this was kind of an interesting experience. It was our first time trying Luv Dduk, and I think the food was pretty tasty. The right amount of crispy and the right amount of flavor. Although it would have been nice to study the menu better in a more sit down manner, versus ordering outside before being seated. I take it the turn around is big for this place as initially the attention was nice, but later while we were still finishing up a bit, it started to feel rushed. Which became a down side to the evening. I get it, we were getting full and only picking at the dishes, but we wanted to enjoy our food. So the food is what this high rating is about. The service was great and then it became a bit too much. I would try this place again, and maybe have a better idea of what to order the next time. Enjoy!!!

I would not recommend this place.Dont like the atmosphere... definitely not for drinkers...i cant recall 100% but i remember them giving some weird paper cup or maybe it was plastic cups for our beer.(Found the photos...see attached). And they refused to give the clearPlastic cups bc they said lemonade is already filled in them for kids so i ordered lemonades so we can use the cups. Smh They have no glassware...just disposable cups. Also their kimchi fried rice is nothing like the real thing. Its like they put ketchup in it or something. And I think it had green peas... like no...Ive been here twice and i dont need to come back.Their food isnt the worst..the spicy rice cakes are actually good but the lack of service and vibes is whats keeping me away.Theres plenty of delicious spicy rice cake in buena park. You'll hardly see Koreans dining here.PS. The interior and lighting is terrible too.

A great place to go if you've been binge watching a little too much of Netflix or Viki and find yourself craving the dduk!Order here for family style because the serving sizes are very generous. We got the army stew (budae jigae), ddukbokki with ribs, and corn cheese. Extremely filling, and next time I want to try the fried chicken, giant katsu, and kimchi fried rice. (Tip: get the combos so you have a selection of food). Our server came and mixed everything up and cut the ribs. Service is fast, attentive, and best of all great parking!

[3.3 stars] Came here on a Sunday evening & there was a 25 min waitlist for dinner. The worker asked everyone waiting to have our order ready for efficiency purposes which I thought was a good idea b/c it speeds up the process for them. Inside the store was lively & lots of people were eating. Once we got in, my party ended up ordering the Tteokbokki & Whole Fried Chicken combo + extra sausages which is supposed to come with a boiled egg & soda but it doesn't look like we ever got that... nor were we given a warning that they ran out/missing items?? It is kind of off-putting they didn't let us know and hid the fact they are missing components of our combo... so I'm actually disappointed finding this out now after looking carefully at the menu again. They took our order outside and once we were in, food came out at a good pace. The food itself was overall okay but felt somewhat lacking. Although, fried chicken was hot & fresh, it was missing seasoning and flavor (3/5).Tteokbokki was a nice chew, yummy sauce, & but the sausage was on the salty side (3.5/5). As a result, the meal was not as satisfying and great as I hoped. Overall, I am not blowed away after this meal by the food nor service. The dishes were lacking in the right flavors and I wish they would have complimentary pickled radishes or a complimentary sauce with the combo to freshen up/better the taste. Especially because it is a heavy meal with fried chicken. Plus our order was missing an egg & soda without our knowledge. I hope to see improvements in their food and service in the future!

With so many similar options in the area, I was disappointed and underwhelmed with Luv Dduk.It was our first time going so we were super peeved by their check in and ordering process. They should really explain it fully so people aren't caught off guard. I added our name to the wait list. We were 9th. I got a text saying to come on over cuz we were now 4thWe get to the restaurant and there's a crowd outside. It was drizzling and super cold. I popped inside to say I had received the text and was told to go outside. After another 10 minutes and not moving on the wait list we decided to wait in the car til we got closer. The 6:20-6:35 seating time had come and gone but we were still #4.It updated to #2 so we go back to the entrance. I hear all these parties being called inside and they're stating the group's order before seating them.I asked the host what to do since it says we're #2. THIS is when I'm finally told that we were supposed to have placed our order earlier. She already called our name. WTH?!!!! So when I initially said I got the text, why didn't she tell me that she would take my order, etc?!!!!!!So we were finally seated close to 7pm. The giant Katsu is really good. I don't understand why you have a ton of chicken and then only one tiny scoop of rice and a small portion of curry. I guess I'm supposed to order refills driving up the already $27 price tag even higher? Ok that's fine. $2 side of rice. But the really off putting dish was the corn cheese. I was soooo excited to try theirs. Can someone please explain why there's so much sugar?!! Even the server said they don't know why they have a lot of sugar. I really wanted to eat it. But w each bite it got even worse. The server took it away but didn't remove it from the bill, which is so funny to me. I asked the manager to remove it and she asked what was wrong w it. And I had to explain that I've had plenty of corn cheese in my life and none has been so overloaded w sugar like this. If I had known sugar was the main ingredient I wouldn't have ordered it. Thankfully, she took it off the bill. I'm glad I checked them out. But, we won't be returning. There are so many other better options in cerritos and without the long wait.

Food here really hits the spot after a long night! The sauce for the tteok-bokki was sweet which I love and the food we had was good. Can't go wrong with corn cheese($17) , but pricer than a lot of other places I've been. Service was great, and the ambiance is very drunk eats vibes!
