I am so happy I listened to my hairdresser's recommendation to come here for lunch. Parking is rough since it is on third but I parked in a residential area and walked over. It's a small stand and I ordered the chile relleno burrito and it was piping hot temperature wise. The chile was perfectly spicy too. I didn't need to add the salsa but it also was great with it too. The beans are homemade and there was a cheese pull moment. The service is friendly and the wait isn't long considering it's made to order. I want to come back and try other items too and bring others.

How did I live in LA for 50 years and not know about Lupes until now?? I had been watching videos on YouTube searching out LA's best casual Mexican eats and Lupe's Burritos kept coming up as the top choice so I had to stop in! I had a couple of hard shell Tacos (one shredded, one ground beef) and their legendary bean and cheese Burrito with spicy red sauce. First off, the tacos were on the small side but absolutely delicious, with a great crunch and packed with shredded cheese. They were about $4 each so not too bad. My previous hard shell Taco place had been Titos but Titos has become ridiculously expensive of late ($6 per Taco? - F the hell off hahaha) and honestly, I thought these were MUCH better. The shredded beef was great but the ground beef had SO much flavor so it's a hard call!! As for the bean and cheese burrito with red sauce, I went in with the highest expectations given the glowing reviews I had seen online but usually, that's a recipe for tears and disappointment. Not here though - this was a thing of magic, possibly the best B&C Burrito I've ever had!! Fresh flour tortilla and great tasting beans with a nice cheese pull and yes, we have to talk about that red sauce. Their red chile salsa is super hot but tasty as well. Go sparingly on the tacos and burritos unless you're a chile fiend like yours truly. I couldn't get enough but it is definitely blow your head off hot so be forewarned. Overall- amazing food. Makes me sad that I don't live in LA anymore but it's close enough and I can hardly wait to come back.Bonus: While eating, you can watch the Metrolink cruise by just a few feet from the restaurant-- classic LA!!

I came here on 11/30/24 for my last meal of November. I placed my order at 6:41pm and I ordered 1 shredded beef dorado taco, 1 steak soft taco, 1 green bean & cheese burrito toasted, and 1 beef red bean burrito. Right off the bat, I had to wait 47minutes for my food. I didn't get my food until 7:28pm and they gave me no explanation or anything when I asked about my order after waiting 35minutes.After waiting so long for my food and hearing so many great things have the burritos and my bean and cheese burrito completely fell apart. I had to eat it with a knife and fork and it made the experience horrible. The red beef bean burrito was extremely spicy and tasted disgusting. It was eating a spicy red soup with beef in your burrito. Horrible menu item. The dorado taco was nothing special. Shell was somewhat stale but the beef was tender. Steak soft taco was okay but not worth the price. Overall the whole experience was so horrible and the food is extremely overrated. Stay away from this place if you don't want to risk having to wait 30mins-1hour just for a couple items on the menu. Take your money elsewhere to either King Taco down the street or definitely to Al & Bea's because Lupe's is straight up trash. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Watched an episode of in the cut on YouTube, the tacos looked really good so we had to try it! It's located in east Los Angeles, pretty much next to king's taco. Parking is a bit challenging, and there's an outdoor eating area with like 4 tables. I got a tacos dorados de papa, a shredded beef taco and beef taquitos with guacamole. Wow, seriously delicious tacos. Very much worth the drive. The taquitos were mine and my boyfriend's favorite as well. He got a beef burrito and he said it was the best he's had in a while. Really good beans as well. The salsa is pretty spicy. They only have red, but it has good flavor. Service was good and quick.

Had the beef burrito, chicken taquitos, and taco darado the burrito was really good, especially for the price and the tortilla seemed fresh made taquitos and guac were excellent taco was good as well but I think best value is burrito. Only downside is parking was hell there's only three spots and people block you in on the street. I like spicy but if you are not OK with spicy salsa, this is not the place for you. They only have salsa Roja and it's pretty hot.

Great friendly customer service. Food was so good! Combo burrito with beef and green sauce was amazing! Big menu to choose from. Red sauce is super spicy so be prepared if you order anything with that on it.

This spot has been my go-to lately despite their parking situation. Breakfast and lunch both hits well. Chili Cheese Pastrami Dog - has it all, chili adds depth to the entire thing. Pastrami here is great, tender and flavorful. Special Quesadilla - I understand why they have to roll it like a burrito. It keeps all the juices of the pastrami in. So good!Taco Dorado here isn't my favorite, I've had better. More crunchy than crispy. To each their own, try it for yourself. I would rather order their other items instead.

PARKING: Small parking lot that only fits two cars. There is street parking, but because this place so popular..might be limited. DO NOT try to park by the rails of the train, there is parking enforcement watching!I have been told by many people about Lupe's Burritos and it definitely lives up to the hype! I don't normally eat beans but these beans blended well with all the cheese and meat.My boyfriend and I got one green combo burrito, california burrito, and chilli cheese fries. Unless you're super hungry, then I would suggest sharing a burrito. The burritos are super cheesy and every bite is boasting with pure flavor. Every burrito is made with love!It was quick to order, but the wait to get our food was about 25 minutes? WORTH THE WAIT! You can also call in advance.10/10. Fire.

The bean & cheese green sauce burritos here ARE FIRE!! Never was a big fan of bean & cheese burrito, but this place got me craving it often lately. I have tried several places. This place is #1 in my books for B&C burritos. Flavor was FiRE! The filling was smooth. Everything blended so well. The portion was great. They didn't over do it. It was perfect! The bean & cheese red sauce burrito was also good. However, it was super spicy for me. If you love super spicy foods, this one is for you. They even offered Yelp check in for a small drink. Yay!
