Lucy Ethiopian Restaurant

Anticipating Awe and Inspiration with a higher taste. Sliding through the city and suddenly an urge to taste authentic Ethiopian cuisine. One of my favorite go-it's in the city.... My favorite eating companion is on the travels so this will be a solo venture today but I'm happy to enjoy it all the way to the very last bite. Btw there are two variations, 6 items or 10 items, that's medium or large for you. $23 or $31 I believe. I'm so hungry for this in does not even matter. It shall be fulfilling. I have trodden long through hills and valleys, wildfires and whirlwinds like I've never seen before. An Oasis in the smog filled city, a street corner dream come true.

Ethiopian restaurant in an area that doesn't have any. And their food is excellent. Eating here you're completely transported and it feels like you are eating in another country. The vibe, the food. It's everything you'd want it to be. Check this place out if you like Ethiopian food. Looked at the 1 star reviews and almost none of them about the food, so you can disregard them.

Lucy Ethiopian is an excellent restaurant with great portion sizes; I order from here 1-3 times a month. I highly recommend the veggie platter; it is my favorite item on the menu. There is an option for a two-person or four-person serving size.I gave Lucy Ethiopian 4 instead of 5 stars because of the food's greasiness. The flavor is excellent, but the oiliness slightly decreases the quality of the meal. Despite this, I still love it.

The vegan combo was delicious perfect portion and it was warm when delivered Sambusa needs a bit more flavor baclava was goodI just needed to try them again since 2years ago I see it's getting better

Rude, unprofessional woman assumed I should know that they dont offer dine-in Service when they dont have Servers for the day. Called during the Week (mon or tues) for their Sat hours, they said they are open 11a-8p. I (and my party) get there at 1p Sat afternoon to find out no dine in service. I ask, how come I wasnt told about not having dine in service... Her answer: You didnt ask the right question... Like Im suppose to know they were short-handed that day. Ive never experience this type of behavior at any ET restaurants in LA in 10+ years!This is what I get for trying to support an ET business outside of the little ET circle... Lesson learned, and I hope the woman reads this and KNOW, you are RUDE and UNprofessional... I'll pray for you!

I've ordered delivery from Lucy Ethiopian 4 times over last few years, it is always delivered in good time and hot. My order of the vegan sampler is always delicious. It serves 2 so it takes me a few days to eat it all. Highly recommend Lucy Ethiopian. I've never eaten there or been inside so cannot comment on that.

Ordered takeout. Food was delicious and packaged well. Will definitely order again, hopefully in person next time!

What started as missing my exit and having to turn around on the freeway, led to me looking for food spots close by because I was way too hungry to finish the hour commute back home without something to eat. I looked on Yelp and saw that there was an Ethiopian restaurant close by, and I have been craving Ethiopian food for months so I decided to check it out. First of all the spot is located with plenty of street parking a few tables inside if you want to eat inside, and the place + the bathroom is very clean!! I was talking with one of the employees who goes by Matthew, he was so kind and incredibly helpful and attentive. I did not get a chance to talk with the other employee due to language barrier but her smiles were incredibly comforting! I believe this is a family run business. I started with fresh mango juice, which I will probably think about for the rest of summer, it was not too sweet, perfectly refreshing. 9.5/10I got the vegan platter for two, and it definitely feeds two because I was starving, ate till I was stuffed, and there was still over half the platter left. For $18 that's an incredible value that you just do not see anymore. All the food was fresh, the ingredients were, distinct and complementary, I absolutely loved it. 10/10 I also got the lentil Samosa, it was good, but I wish I tried the ground beef Samosa! The lentils were cooked perfectly, and the Samosa was stuffed to the brim, but with all the veggies on my veggie platter, I was craving meat and I'm excited to try the beef Samosa next time. Lentil Samosa - 8/10i'm excited to go back already, definitely check this place out, it deserves your business and all regards.

very cute place; and the staff were very welcoming and knowledgable. i got the vegan sampler platter; very reasonably priced, great variety of flavors and spices, and overall just a wonderful meal. would highly recommend!
