Lucky Mizu is an absolute gem!We came here to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly a memorable experience from start to finish. The Shabu Shabu and sushi were absolutely fantastic-so fresh and flavorful! The variety of ingredients for the hot pot was impressive, and the sushi rolls were expertly made and delicious. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Our waiter went above and beyond to make the night special. Not only was the service attentive and friendly, but they surprised all four of us with free mochi ice cream for dessert to celebrate my birthday! It was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The mochi ice cream was delicious, with a variety of flavors that we all loved. We also absolutely loved the unique decor and vibe of Lucky Mizu-it felt stylish yet cozy, with so much attention to detail. The secret entrance was such a fun touch that added a sense of mystery and excitement to the whole experience.

The restaurant is not easy to find, came on a Friday night:Restaurant is located on the 8th floor of the hotel, once you get up there u have to look for a host otherwise u will get lost and walk into diff restaurant. Few restaurants up there...Parking IS EXPENSIVE!!! : hotel valet with validation $27 or circa $30 or side parking lots It was our 3 year marriage anniversary and they sat us at the bar when theres empty seats at the tables. We had a reservation as well. So that definitely ruined the night already. There are no servers. Just bar tenders taking our order which he barely knew the menu. Shabu was a rip off, $58 for prime ribeye that came out frozen like the ones u get at korean bbq. Terrible! LolSushi: most fish are already precut and they just put it ontop of the rice with no nothing.Uni, salmon, yellowtail sushi was whatevers. Definitely over priced and quality is worst than japanese supermarketsDecor: cheap decor w mirros on the roof and a bunch of money cats that u buy from daiso.HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED TRUST ME LOL

It was okay. I went on a Wednesday with my boyfriend. It was way overpriced. The hand rolls weren't even hand rolls; they were tiny.Service was slow even on a Wednesday as it was a slow night.Apparently they don't have shabu on Wednesday's and it doesn't say that anywhere on their website or on their instagram. That was really disappointing.

Lucky Mizu is designed beautifully and I love the vibe they're going for, but unfortunately the food and the service fall short...way short. We ordered both the shabu shabu in bone broth with the ribeye and the seiro mushi (steamed no broth) with the A5 Miyazaki. The broth came wrong on the shabu shabu and they somehow managed to get every dipping sauces we ordered wrong as well. The meat portions on both the shabu and the seiro mushi were also super stingy...either they're not honest about how much they give you or they're incompetent at measuring the correct portions. The meat itself was decent quality, but I just was absolutely insulted with the portions. The hostesses that check you in and seat you were super friendly, but the server was a completely different sorry. The server seemed bitchy and annoyed the whole time and barely came by to check up on us. Also, they have printed instructions in case you're not familiar with shabu shabu, but other than that, the server offered absolutely no guidance at all. Maybe they're just looking to capture the business of people staying at the hotel, but the experience overall is subpar and mediocre at best. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the quality of the food is not bad, but the terrible service and insulting portions make even a 3 star rating generous.

Our server Maria was amazing. She was very helpful and guided us with picking the right foods for our hotpot's. (We were new to this). I will definitely come back again! Especially if we can have Maria as our server love the vibes here too!

I saw this restaurant on my IG a while ago and aww the wondering ambiance and decorations it had and I finally got to try it out... This restaurant is in the "Level 8" building in DTLA and is quite busy..parking is easy and if you valet, it's $40. I made a reservation so the seating was easy.Once I was sat down I was greeted by a fantastic "waiter"? Not sure but he was running around just like everyone else behind the bar. We ended up at the bar seats which I wasn't too happy about considering they have tables on the other side and I wasn't given a choice. On to the food, I ordered quite a bit of sushi, including sashimi and some rolls. Honestly, a bit disappointed in the quality of the food. It definitely did not live up to the price it costs $24 for 4 pieces I'd expect better quality. The rolls were decent, nothing impressive and portions were small. This is one of those "destination locations" or a place you visit just once because it actually has a very attractive and pretty ambiance / seating. Sushi was very average, and for the price I'm being charged to consume, not worth it.Overall, I wouldn't come back here simply because the quality is worth the cost. It's a great place to try if you want to have a fun new experience in a pretty restaurant...but if you're a sushi fanatic like me, you will be disappointed. Food gets a 3 stars and the ambiance/staff gets a 5, so we meet in the middle at 4 stars.

Interesting place with great entertainment. Located on level 8, Lucky Mizu is one of the several restaurants aimed to provide an interesting experience for the night. Food was ok, definitely can't beat the authentic Shabu places. The tomyum soup base is really good and the ginger dipping sauce is good as well. Make sure to check out the other bars on this floor while you are here

I wanted to like this place, the vibe was cute, but the service was really off. We went for Valentine's Day, where they have a fixed menu. It started off ok, but after the amouse bouche, we waited 30 min after finishing before a server asked if we were ready for the next course (obviously yes). Some more waiting and then our entrees come out?? We were confused, then another server said oh your appetizers will be out soon. While eating our entrees, the dessert came which we sent back, then they took our plates and then the appetizers came. It would be one thing if they acknowledged they made a mistake, but they tried to play it off, and it threw off the food experience. The food was mostly good but tiny, and I'm used to fine dining. There was not enough food for a couple. The dessert, for example, was a two bite piece of shortcake, and 1 chocolate strawberry. One. Did they intend for both people to split the strawberry? It's $88 per person, not including drinks. For that price, the service should be exceptional and the food, if intended to be shared, should be enough for two people.
