A good friend took me to this place for lunch and I must say, it deserves its spot in grand central. It is a nice change from all these new trendy Nashville fried chicken places and does it's job at keeping it simple, clean, and tasty. While only 3 tenders, the quantity and quality you get is exceptional. The tenders are breaded nicely while the chicken is tender and very soft. However, the Mac is nothing special. Don't get me wrong, the Mac is definitely good but nothing out of the ordinary. Finally, I must say, the sauces were fairly good. I am very specific about what I like in my sauces so It would be best if I didn't give my opinion on them. However, that have a good amount to choose from so I definitely recommend trying a handful of them during your meal. 4/5 stars

The Grand Central Market is full of such amazing food and Lucky Bird fits right in with the best of them. My wife and I tried Lucky Bird on Monday afternoon for the first time and we both left with full stomachs and smiles on our stupid faces. The menu here isn't huge but it really doesn't need to be. It offers fried chicken, chicken strips, and chicken sandwiches.....so what else do you need out of a fried chicken joint? Nothing! Well, sides but they have you covered with those too. I ended up ordering the "hot honey Sammie" which is a pretty good size chicken sandwiches covered in a hot honey sauce. On the side we split some macaroni and cheese and some JoJos (which is what they call giant potato wedges). The chicken sandwiches covered was absolutely phenomenal from the juiciness of the chicken to the flavour of the hot honey, absolutely top notch chicken sandwich. The Jojo's were very good as well, basically just being fried chunks of potatoes. The only part of the meal that wasn't a homerun was the macaroni and cheese, which was kind of just bland and mediocre. Overall, Lucky Bird is definitely the king of fried chicken in the Grand Central Market and was definitely a meal I enjoyed. Even with the "meh" of the macaroni and cheese, I really enjoyed the meal and will absolutely be coming back again.

Unlucky for the bird, but very lucky for us - excellent chicken tenders.Love that they use Mary's Free Range, Organic Chicken! Ingredients are local and food is all made from scratch. This place is doing things right and it shows in the taste. You get 3 large tenders and dipping sauce - we liked the buttermilk ranch sauce. Not too heavy on the batter. Good crunch. Truly tasty.

Got the chicken strips and jojos. The chicken strips were good and crispy without being dry. Seasoned well and quite tasty. I forgot which dipping sauce I got (it was the top selection on the list), but it too was great. Definitely try these. The jojos were decent, just wish there was a little more for the money, Shrinkflation is real (and that's seemingly everywhere).

We ordered a 2 piece- one thigh and one breast. They said it could be 7 minutes to get my order, but it was ready in half that time. My son devoured it. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the breading was the right amount of crispy and flaky. There are so many choices in the central market, when I go back I'd try more items from lucky bird.

I was in dtLA for the Apple Store and decided to go check out Grand Central Market. Walked around and decided on Lucky Bird. Placed my order for the chicken waffle and went looking for iced coffee. They were out of drumsticks for my "all dark" so i would get a breast as my other piece, i was told politely. I expected the moistness of the thigh and was pleasantly surprised that the breast was too. The waffle was a bit squashed under the chicken but it was a good flavor. I wished I had gotten hot sauce for the chicken as it needed a touch more spice for my taste but otherwise was good choice. Juice bar next door was open so i had agua fresca. Its pretty loud in the whole place and nice for people watching.

3.5 stars, but rounded up because they were nice.I got the hot honey chicken sandwich, and it was slightly undercooked, but edible. The sandwich is on the smaller side than what I'm used to. Flavor was okay. My friend got the chicken tenders and it was cooked perfectly - juicy and tender. You also get three huge pieces and it's the same cost as the sandwich so this is way worth it. We also shared the potato wedges which were nothing to brag about but it complemented the meal. The waitress was super nice and offered us water without us asking.

I can't say enough good things about Lucky Bird's Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich! The perfect balance of sweet and spicy with a crispy, juicy chicken fillet that's cooked to perfection. The honey glaze has just the right amount of heat, creating an explosion of flavor with every bite. The sandwich is generously portioned and packed with freshness, from the crisp pickles to the soft, buttery bun. It's one of those meals you crave again and again. If you're a fan of bold flavors and top-notch quality, this is a must-try! Absolutely delicious! Finally, the service was impeccable. It's hard to find free water at any of these types of establishments. Lucky Bird's employee at the time was generous enough to refill our water bottles for us.

I've been to GCM countless times and I was in the mood for something new. Decided to give Lucky Bird a shot and was not disappointed. I got their HOT HONEY SAMMIE that is a chicken breast, dipped in hot honey sauce, pickled jalapeños, cheese and buttermilk herb served on a milk bun. Chicken was EXTREMELY juicy with a nice crunch. Definitely surpassed my expectations.

Came back and was told to try their 3 piece white meat tenders and they were MUCH BETTER than the dark meat chicken sandwich. Crunchy but not too much batter, the portion was generous. Wish they offered "Nashville Hot Chicken" as Grand Central really need one of these places. Comes with one sauce and we got the buttermilk ranch.
