Somehow Lorenzo's focaccia sandwich rolls are crusty, toothy and light at the same time. I think you could put just about anything on this bread and it's a hit. However, Lorenzo DELIVERS!! with great meats (we had the roast beef and the turkey) and fresh fixins like arugula and house made pepperoncini that are excellent. You can eat out front on 4-5 cafe tables set up on the sidewalk.

Delicious Sandos! I think what makes these unique are the incredible bread, it offers the perfect filling to bread ratio. The tonno/tuna sando differs from the typical mayo based sandwich, it's lighter, has a kick, and slightly tart. While my husband thought the tuna was the best out of the three we tried, I thought the tacchino or turkey stood out the most. Thinly sliced turkey paired perfectly with the arugula, aioli, and crispy onions. So we paid over $60 for 3 sandos, I think it's definitely worth a try. However I think given the location the price is a bit marked up.

I have tried the Lorenzo, the tuna sandwich, and the caponata.Surprisingly, even though I am not a vegetarian, I thought the caponata sandwich was suberb. The flavors there are actually a little surprising and it works well. Highly recommend. The tuna sandwich was solid. And I did like the Lorenzo but I still am not totally on board the mortadella train--I know it's the predecessor to bologna but... it still just basically tastes like baloney. Which is fine. But doesn't make a sandwich really stand out. But all of the accompaniments were good. On all of the sandwiches, the bread is truly superb and that definitely helps these sandwiches stand out.

This might just be one of the best sandwiches to come to LA.I believe the owner, Cynthia? works the register and she is so sweet and helpful to everyone coming in.I went with the classic Lorenzo sandwich today and it was ready in about 5 minutes.Let me tell you - they know how to make foaccia. This is exceptional bread. It's just crispy enough to offer a nice bite and crisp. The fillings are so tasty. The mortadella is meaty without being greasy or fatty. The parmigiano paste is so unique and special, it's creamy and nutty and amazing. As well as those toasted pistachios offering more nuttiness and a good crunch along with a savory flavors. The red peppers and basil create a nice cut from the richness and fresh bite. This place is special and I can't wait to return over and over again

Lorenzo's is a small cute shop near the craziness of Rodeo. They are well worth a stop in though. My friends and I are all regulars, and can't give this place enough praise. The bread for the sandwiches are 10/10, the ingredients are 10/10. You can skip the other famous Roman sandwich spots in LA, as they really can't compare. We've tried most of the sandwiches and have yet to find one that isn't a hit. The Lorenzo is probably my go-to with mortadella and that amazing layer of pistachios. Makes me reminisce our trips to Rome eating sandwiches near the Pantheon, ah ... so good.

Summary:Incredible sandwichesDetails:I'm not usually one to grab a sandwich when I'm traveling around, but given how much food I knew I'd be eating during my week in SoCal, I wanted to start things off a bit lighter. And boy am I glad I swung by Lorenzo on the recommendation of a friend, because it's hands down the best sandwich I've had in recent memory: in fact, I can't really think of another sandwich that's really stood out to me in the past decade, Japanese sandos aside.Good bread is not usually too hard to find, but the struggle I've always had with this nicer deli meat sandwich types of spots is that they're inevitably all too salty, some egregiously so. The fact that Lorenzo's weren't like this, combined with other interesting flavors, all sandwiched between amazingly fluffy bread with a nice crisp exterior, easily propelled them to the top. That said, since I had swung by again to grab some for the drive back north: while they're still quite nice hours later, these are absolutely better while still fresh and hot, if not just because of the texture of the bread.Seating here is a bit limited, so unless you're coming solo or just with another friend, you're better off grabbing them to go!Accessibility:The space is a bit on the smaller side, but as long as it's not packed, there's enough space to get around with ease, including sitting inside at one of the two tops. They also have a couple two tops outside as well, though given the lack of shade, these can get pretty hot on sunny days.

Come on a Wednesday for their specials or follow their socials for when they have them!! You won't regret it. I've been here multiple times and their standard base offerings are also absolutely incredible but I always try to make it a point to get their specials. Be wary that the space is incredibly small though so seating is extremely limited. Definitely only good for two people tops. The best special is definitely their oxtail sandwich. Would get all the time.

A cute little deli with the highest quality ingredients. You can tell each component of your sandwich is treated with so much care. From the moment I finished my sandwich I was already craving another Will definitely keep coming back. The sandwiches are big enough to share so keep that in mind when ordering. This place is pretty small and busy so maybe taking your sandwich to go and eating at the park close by would be best option

The sandwich here is great. The focaccia bread style sandwiches here are what they're known for. I got the special crudo with the prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella. The bread was soft and the meat and cheese went together very well. My friend got the tonno tuna one and found it to be a surprisingly great sandwich. The staff was very nice and the shop is cute. It's a small place so spacing is a bit limited for dine in for both inside and outside.

Ive been wanting to try the Tagliata Di Manzo steak sandwich (Wednesday special) since I've been following it on instagram. I called in last week and they were sold out at around 3pm. They told me that they would be selling the steak sandwich every Wed till the rest of the year so I planned to walk over on my day off today at 11am before lunch rush hour. Very tiny place that has a couple of seating inside and outdoors. Right after I ordered, a bunch of people came right after. I got lucky.Okay.. on to the food. A tad disappointed that my steak sandwich did not look like all the ones posted on IG. Left side of my sandwich barely had any meat. I posted photos for reference. I guess you kind of expect more since you're paying $30 for a sandwich. And I ordered 2. However, the sandwich was so delicious. The bread was perfect with the melted mozzarella. The steak was tender and was nicely balanced with the mushrooms. It was a little sour but i guess that's how their aioli was. The cheese store is nearby and I love this sandwich more than any of the sandwiches there. Will need to come back to try their other sandwiches and pastas.
