We enjoyed our experience at Little Skewer. The meat was high-quality, tender, and well-seasoned, making almost every item we ordered a hit. You make orders through a provided tablet and can add more items anytime. There's also a call button at the table that can be used to ring the server over. The servers were attentive and frequently cleared out our stick bucket.///Food (5/5): -Pork Belly & Beef Belly were tender and fatty. While each skewer was small, it was packed with flavors! We had to add more to our table. Would recommend. -Lamb Skewer was disappointing in contrast, the meat was tougher and lacked fattiness. -The squid was exceptionally well-cooked. It was chewy, and not rubbery or dry at all.-Grilled Scallops & Eggplantato were both garlicky and savory. Would recommend.-The potato swirl was coated in sweet (taste like honey) and savory sauce. Other than that, it's just a normal potato swirl. -Extra: the rice was moist and I like it. Though idk if anyone else would order rice at a skewer place *The skewers were not cheap but still on a reasonable scale./// Ambience (3.5/5): The restaurant has a stage for live performances, and the singer speaks and sings in Chinese. While I understand Chinese, the surrounding noises make it hard to hear. That said, I find the restaurant too noisy. The guests were already loud, making the performance seem out of place and no one seems to be paying attention anyways. ///Overall, I am interested to come back and try other skewers.

Came here on a Monday night, and it wasn't busy at all. The waitress that seated me and my girlfriend didn't know English, but luckily I have some very limited Mandarin, so that helped. I think only like half of the staff knows English, so one may struggle here with the service. Good thing that ordering food here is done with the iPad, which is both English and Chinese.Anyway, me and my girlfriend ordered some skewers, cucumber salad, and grilled enoki mushroom. The vegetable plates here were actually very good and definitely my favorite would be the grilled enoki mushroom, especially with the garlic and other seasoning they combine in that plate. However, the chicken skin skewer and lamb skewer lacked flavor for non spicy, as it was just bland. Usually even for the non spicy or mild spice skewers at other competitors, those tend to have some seasoning, so that was a bit disappointing. Also, the size for the lamb skewer was quite small, which I was a bit disappointed as I came here two years ago and remember the skewers being larger in size. I guess this has been victim of shrinkflation. The lone meat item I liked, the pineapple sausage skewer, was pretty good though and actually had some nice flavor to it. Overall, I think Little Skewer was an ok skewer place experience, but I find it to be a bit worse than their competitors when it comes to a non spicy version. I would definitely recommend the vegetable plates and vegetable skewers here for sure, and probably stick to spicy for meat skewers if you can handle spicy. 3.5/5

Only accept waitlist in person, can get pretty crowded on weekend nights. You can do street parking or the lot is next to the New Lucky Seafood Restaurant. This Little Skewer location represents well the vibe of drinking bars in China, where you eat, drink, and listen to live music. Food also tastes good, most of the skewers are seasoned with the unique flavor of Chinese skewers (cumin, chili flakes, sugar, salt and black pepper sometimes, etc).

We came to Little Skewer in Monterey Park for lunch and tried a variety of dishes, including the Three Wine Combo, Chicken Skin, Pork Belly, King Oyster Mushroom, Australian Lamb Kebab, Beef Belly, Pork Intestine, Grilled Egg Crepe, Sizzling Squid, and Golden Soup Pot. The flavors were decent--nothing particularly outstanding, but nothing bad either. The skewers were cooked well, and the portion sizes were fair. Overall, it's an okay spot if you're craving skewers, but it didn't leave a lasting impression.

This might be the best chinese skewer place I've had! They have an iPad to put your name down when you get there but unfortunately no Yelp waitlist available yet. The longest I've waited on a Friday night was around 30-45 minutes, but once we got seated, service was quick and efficient. The ambiance inside is very clean and well decorated with music playing and occasionally live singers/karaoke stage as well. Parking is street parking but I haven't had trouble finding a spot at all. There is a tablet to order at each table and they bring the food out shortly afterwards. It might sound like a lot, but I would recommend ~25 skewers per person + a few other sides (cucumber salad and garlic enoki mushrooms are a MUST!!) In terms of skewers, I have tried the beef belly skewer, lamb skewer, chicken skin, chicken gristle, and grilled tofu skin. I would 100% order everything again (except for maybe the tofu skin - just wasn't what I expected and was harder & not as flavorful as I had hoped.)Overall, would definitely recommend Little Skewer in Monterey Park to others! (I have heard different experiences at other locations).

Been loving this spot for a while! The skewers are on point but recently its been shrink flation! All the skewers are smaller and they did not follow the no spicy rule! They used to be on point so now i am rethinking this as my go-to spot. Our go to was beef and lamb but the pieces were so dinky.. barely any meat. I do love the mala hot pot! Always hits the spot with the spicy and warmth on a cold winter day. Parking - there are a few upfront on the street but mostly you can part in the back lot and enter through the back near the other restaurant on the corner. Service is just ok . you have to ask for everything and bathrooms were not refilled for TP for opening at 5PM.

Came here for a friend's birthday dinner on a random Tuesday. Currently off the sauce so just stuck to eating this time. Had a variety of skewers and they were bomb. I definitely had chicken skin and cartilage, then beef. We went hard on the cucumber salad too. It's a nice place with good service and the design is cool too. Would definitely come back.

One of the best skewer restaurants I've been to! We ordered the beef belly, chicken gristle, and pork intestine skewers, along with a ma la tang pot. The skewers are served already cooked and are kept warm on a plate that has a candle under it. There isn't a lot of meat on the skewers compared to other places, but I didn't mind since I thought the price was fair for the portion. Each of the skewers had great flavor and I'd definitely recommend some rice on the side. Something that I appreciated was how they have napkins hanging off the wall since that created more table space. It makes a difference when you order a lot of food haha.We went on a friday night, and I really enjoyed the live singing they had! Easy parking and service was fast and efficient.

This place was packed when I came, very lively atmosphere bc guests can karaoke in front of the restaurant haha! I appreciate the entertainment but I wish they would turn down the volume bc it was a bit too loud for us. Great spot to hangout with friends though!I did like the traditional decor & wow the service was SUPER QUICK! You just order from a tablet & they would deliver 1-2 minutes after, it was amazing service! 5/5 Foodwise, I loved the crispy calamari, skewers, & stinky tofu! 5/5 Stinky tofu was stinky but not overbearing. Perfectly seasoned & you can choose if you want spicy or not on the skewers. We also got the golden hotpot which was delicious! 4/5 Had an amazing time here, everything was super convenient & fast, would come again!

- corn- potato- squid- beef- pork The food was really good! I love the corn skewers because it was not like your usual grocery store corn. It's not for everyone cause my sibling didn't like it, but I loved how it was really chewy. The dumplings were also surprisingly good! I wasn't expecting much since this was a skewer place, but it was really memorable. The vibes are also immaculate and I would love to come here again.
