Little Skewer

SO SO good. Would come back with my friends, date or family. It's such a versatile spot to try all different types meal sets from fried food, and skewers to soups. I love the presentation and the table set up, it feels very much like you're in a fun casual traditional Chinese pub. Parking: Not a problem, there's a big parking lot for this plaza, but there are many stores as well.Service: You can order and choose based on the iPad. So fun and convenient. I don't believe there's a time limit though if you come on a weekday. Beef Belly 20/ order: A little bit more juicy, but not as flavorful as the king oyster mushroom skewer. I read this was one the more juicier meat skewers. Fried milk 6 PC: Tastes like mochi texture. Crunchy on the outside and bouncy on the inside. You don't get much of a diary scent. Fun dessert and share.Cucumber salad: Highly recommend getting this if you're getting meat skewers. It's so refreshing and crunchy with savory, grilled meats. Kung Fu Corn 20/order: Corn texture is more mushy like freezer corn. This is still a good order. It's not going to be crunchy and juicy like fresh corn on the cob. King oyster mushroom 10/order: Best skewer order out of the whole meal! So juicy and the texture was bouncy. Highly recommend. Pretty much all the skewers have the same marination.

SERVICE: 4/5The service here is minimal but efficient. When I walked in, the staff allowed me to choose any open seat, and all orders were placed through a tablet on the table. The waiters primarily came out to deliver the food, with little interaction beyond that. There wasn't anything particularly positive or negative about the service--just a neutral experience.FOOD: 4/5We ordered a few skewers and the golden pot. The skewers were decent but not particularly memorable. MUST TRY is the golden pot! It was a standout dish. The combination of cabbage, beef, and vermicelli noodles created a well-balanced, comforting flavor that complemented the skewers nicely.AMBIANCE: 5/5The restaurant's decor is a perfect blend of traditional elements and modern aesthetics. The space is clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing, making for a pleasant dining experience.PARKING: 4/5I visited during a busy lunch hour on the weekend, and finding parking close to the restaurant took some time. However, during off-peak hours, parking shouldn't be an issue.

Ordered:- Golden pot (5/5): Get this! There's a lot of different toppings included in the pot and they come around and top up the soup when they see it's running low. We didn't know what to expect as there was no description but loved the surprisingly slightly sour but comforting soup. For the price, we thought this was a super worth and filling main that paired well with the skewers. My gf isn't a fan of vermicelli noodles though and did wish it came with rice but otherwise no complaints about it. - Lamb (2/5): The lamb portion per skewer was certainly lives up to the name of this establishment. The tiniest of lamb cubes were stabbed on these sticks and unfortunately was very dry and chewy. We'll pass on this one next time.- Chicken gristle (5/5): These tasted amazing! We were very impressed by the flavor, texture, and portion of these skewers. We would definitely order these again the next time we come.- Cucumber salad (5/5): We normally get a cucumber salad whenever we get skewers in order to cut through the taste of the meat and this lived up to our expectations. The portion size is a tad large for 2 people, and would be perfect for even 4 people to share. It's a bit spicy as a warning for anyone with low spice tolerance.- 24 shots wine (5/5): Impactful presentation and great tasting shots to pair with good food. Nothing much else to say here.Overall (4.5/5): Little Skewer is primarily a drinking spot that can lead to long lines on the weekend so make sure to come early. Ambiance was slightly noisy and quite busy as the establishment is pretty small. We for the most part loved the food here, with standouts being the Golden Pot and Chicken Gristle. We can't wait to come back!

Have not been to this location in years! Food quality and ambiance remains the same - service was also spectacular.The plaza is doing construction outside so it may be hard to locate the restaurant but they do have additional signs pointing you to their exact location which is helpful.Since it was a weekday when we went, there was no line or wait - we were seated immediately. You order directly from an iPad which is super convenient.Servers were very attentive and friendly. We ordered a variety of skewers, dishes and soups.Our favorites are the Lamb Skewers, the Golden HotPot and the Shrimp Dumplings. Everything else was also delicious. These are a must try!Plenty of parking available as it is located in a big plaza.

I've been to this spot several times and it never disappoints! Parking is fairly easy and a lot to go around. They give you a sheet of the menu where you mark your order (quantity and item). You order skewers based off the menu and the staff cooks it for you in the back kitchen. They then bring out skewers and place it on a dish where you can eat. This place is great with friends or on a date.

Been here a few times now -- the prices are fair and the food is great. The vibes are also immaculate (pretty decor). Servers don't interrupt you so you just have to flag them down if you need something.

Ordered takeout a few days ago & everything was good and worth the price. Will definitely try in person next time.

A taste of Chinese street food in this little spot in Hacienda Heights. Beef belly skewer, pork belly skewer, and lamb skewer all had good seasoning/flavor but weren't mind-blowing. Tornado potato skewer was a fun treat. Broth in golden pot had a unique sour flavor that was not overwhelmingly sour. Eggplant dish had good flavors. Durian pizza was a fun item that could work either as a meal item or dessert and the durian went surprisingly well with the cheese. The interior is enchanting and has a Chinese theme to it which perfectly complements the authentic meal you will have here. Service was very good and the waitress would refill our soup without us even asking. The cool-looking interior and the variety of skewers and other street food items here make this a fun place to eat.

I'm definitely a fan of Little Skewer in Hacienda. We came to eat because we were in town and felt like some skewers and Little Skewer hit the spot. The food was great, the service was excellent, the atmosphere really captured and gave you an "experience" taking you to what seemed like China. The overall vibes, pretty darn good. The one tip I'd give you is that while the lamb skewers seem to be the popular choice, it's not necessarily the best. A bit on the drier side. Don't be scared to try the other skewers, such as chicken skin, bread, intestines, or fried milk. They just may surprise you.

One of my favorite meals of the year. Yes it is that good! Brings me so much comfort to have found this place. Well, my cousins took me here but so GOOD! and the price is good too comparable to other similar places. Really hope this doesn't change. Everything from the skewers to the hotpot is amazing. I wish they have on just like this in SF. I can't wait to come back to eat this again.
