Food 10/10 Ambiance 10/10Service 3/10 Would be nice if the person taking my order would look at me instead of looking like she was devastated and hated every second of being there.

**Ambiance**:- The environment was nicely decorated, particularly the interior. I appreciated the partition that added a unique touch to the decor. However, at one point, they played loud, ratchet music.**Food**:- The quality of the food was just alright. The ginger did not taste fresh; it was slimier than regular ginger. Most Japanese cuisines offer a firmer texture in their ginger. I also did not enjoy the steamed dumplings, which felt microwaved.**Service**:- We had to ask the waitress three times for a fork because one of my family members had hand surgery and needed a fork to eat. By the time we received it, my family member had already used her hands to eat. I gave the benefit of the doubt that the waitress might have been busy or preoccupied. However, I did not feel a welcoming attitude from the staff. They seemed direct and bothered by certain questions, which could have been due to a lack of knowledge. Additionally, the prices are way above what the food is worth; you might as well eat at Kazunori or SugarFish.Overall, the experience was marred by a lack of understanding of how people want to be greeted. Plus, it seems they have a smoking area in the back, and the smell encroaches inside when the door opens.

PROS: the sushi we ordered was really good! We got the shrimp tempura roll and the tower roll because they were the more affordable rolls that we were interested in. The gyozas were some of the best gyozas we have tried. The sake was the standard sake (cheapest nigori they have $15). They serve it in the little container in my pictures. The inside is super nice and was comfortable where we first chose to sit but then the waitress moved us (because the table we chose was dirty?) to a spot that we couldn't see anything really in the restaurant besides her behind the cash register constantly on her phone. So lost a lot of the ambiance which I always appreciate when dining out. CONS: the taste of the food was the only thing that saved the night. The waitress was pretty rude right off the bat and we almost just left but gave it a chance due to the reviews. The menus were dirty and they did not have any drink menus (said they were coming in the next few days) so we had to go over the list of alcohol and ask for pricing which is not a great experience when trying to order. We asked for two waters and they brought two Evian bottles...without advising us that we would have to pay for them? We did not touch them at all to make sure they would take them back so we didn't have to pay $9-$10 for water....When speaking to the waitress, she constantly would respond "WHAT??" really loudly even though we were speaking up and no one else was in the restaurant to make noise. It was pretty rude and was making the experience worse. Not sure if she was new but she did not seem to enjoy her job. She was in her phone the entire night when we needed her attention to order and make sure we didn't get charged for the water. At the end of the night we waited a long time just to pay but she continued to be on her phone. Ended up walking up to pay and had to awkwardly check the receipt to verify the charge and tip while she was right there. Honestly, would love to come back just for the sushi but do not want to interact with this waitress again. Sushi chef made some tasty sushi!!! So maybe to go would be the best option next time

Best sushi here in North Hollywood. It was our first time here at this restaurant we ordered the deep fried spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, shrimp lover roll, Philly roll, gyoza, and shrimp udon noodles. Upon entering the ambiance of the store is tidy and neat. There's a sushi chef behind the bar who makes his rolls with loooove!!! Every bite is so flavorful. Definitely will become a regular at this location

Walked in after a gym session and ordered Yellowtail carpaccio as an appetizer. Sooo good, I'd definitely order again. The Hawaiian Roll: to me, it was OK. And the Baked Salmon Roll- This was rich but pretty much how I expected it. It was good. The service was fast since there was only one couple sitting at the bar when I walked in. The waitress was nice. The ambiance is cute enough for a casual little dinner date. Definitely not upscale, but it's not like a takeout place either. I'd go back for the carpaccio and I'd try other rolls.

As a newer place, I finally had time to try this out.The chef hadn't shown up when I came when they opened. So I had to wait. No apologies. The sushi was pretty average, and considering Noho and Studio City have many of the best sushi places in LA, they could do better. The layout seemed intuitive for a sushi place, with dark woods as the theme.

I've been wanting to try this local place and finally got the opportunity. Some of the best sushi we've experienced and we loved it. The California rolls ( spicy & regular) and Tako were very good and the rice on all the rolls spectacular. Very unique and fresh. My friend ordered us some Ikura (Salmon roe) with quail eggs which was a first for me ( see photo) and a great boost. The Sapporo on tap was cold and the sake was warmly delicious. We got there on a late Monday afternoon so were the only people there and sat on the small patio. The North Hollywood/Studio City areas has some of the best sushi in LA and this place is one of them.Everything we had was amazing and we plan to order more.
