Exceptional. Service is personal and connective. Cocktails are curated. Food flavors and cook are fantastic. Care is taken. HIGHLY recommend the Linden Burger. Best in the city by far. Oxtail Grilled Cheese. Unreal. And so much more. Kitchen closes at 10:30 or 10:45. Get there early!

The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant are excellent, which is why we were excited to try it, especially since the menu appeared to be vegan-friendly. However, the waitress immediately informed us that they didn't really have any vegan options and looked at us as if she was inviting us to leave. Unfortunately, they could not accommodate any vegan entrees ("large plates"), but we still wanted to give it a shot and ordered the only two appetizers that could be made vegan: a Brussels sprout dish and a jackfruit dish. After ordering, someone came out and asked me, "How vegan are you?" which struck me as odd and made me worry about whether the two items we ordered contained any dairy or eggs. Overall, the food was good, but the restaurant is not equipped to handle a plant-based diet. If you follow a vegan lifestyle, I would not recommend coming here.

Linden delivers a decadent dining experience - skillfully prepared dishes and drinks, upscale ambience, excellent service. You'll get what you pay for - prepare to drop a couple bills. It's in the erstwhile Delancey space, which I remember being bright and open. Linden feels more intimate and sophisticated with table-lamp lighting, dark floral wallpaper, burgundy velvet curtains. We started with two cocktails, the Cherry Street bourbon drink and the Friend or Foe tequila concoction, which was unexpectedly spicy (but both were strong and tasty). We each ordered a "big plate": I selected the Spicy Reggaetoni with lobster and caviar, and my boyfriend ordered the For Goodness Steak NY strip. He was pleased with his perfectly cooked steak, which came with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. He wanted to order the bread plate also, but later told me that he deemed it too "fussy" with its cornbread and everything bagel. My 'reggaetoni' was delicious - tender lobster, fresh broccoli and peppers, short rigatoni, and an interesting cajun gumbo-esque roux-based sauce. I wouldn't say the "big plates" are shareable, unless you just want a few bites. My boyfriend easily finished his meal by himself, and though it took me awhile, I finished most of mine, and it didn't feel like I was gorging myself on a giant serving of pasta. Our server asked about allergies even before we ordered, which I appreciated. My anaphylactic peanut/green pea/lentil/chickpea allergy was easily accommodated (no items with peanuts, but I did notice they use green peas in a lot of dishes, if you have comorbid legume allergies).I'm certainly not faulting them for efficiency, but I'd recommend ordering your preferred dinner beverage first, and enjoying a cocktail with or as your dessert. Our entrees came out quickly after our cocktails arrived, and we'd wanted to order wine to complement our meals. (We did, and it also arrived promptly.)Parking in the area is tricky on a weekend night - it seems there's a lot of street parking available, but it's all permit. We used the valet, which apparently charges $20 on Saturday nights.Stylish and classy with superior food and libations, Linden is a great place at which to celebrate a special occasion.

First off the space is beautiful and there are a lot of interesting food choices. We always ask staff opinions and two people said one of their favorite dishes was the burger- honestly we were pretty underwhelmed. At a restaurant specializing in creole/jewish fusion, the burger being one of the "star" dishes seemed odd to us, especially since it was pretty mid and overpriced. The oxtail grilled cheese however was so special- probably one of the best grilled cheese i've had in LA. Our server was nice and enthusiastic, but service overall was a bit laggy, especially with timing for getting menus, checking on the food and paying the bill. It's not a very big space and they have a lot of servers and a manager on floor who wasn't doing much so it shouldn't have taken as long as it did. Overall, I would come back to try some of the other dishes so it's worth a try.

Tucked away on busy Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, Linden is an intimate and inviting restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were met with warm hospitality, starting with a pleasant host and continued by our very polite waiter, Darian. The steak and eggs I ordered were perfectly executed, especially the delicious home fried potatoes. My cousin had their shrimp and grits. We ended the meal with the "crispy peach," a delightful dessert that, while more like a peach yam, was still very enjoyable. Though there was a slight delay with one of our drinks, the friendly atmosphere continued at the bar with bartenders Moses and Banty. Overall, our experience at Linden was outstanding.

I was thoroughly impressed with Linden-- the food, menu, drinks, and atmosphere were perfect. Normally, I would go to a nice looking restaurant (for the vibes) but the food would be subpar. However, Linden did not disappoint. They took southern food and elevated it. It was all foods you've tried sometime in your life but had an extra surprise to each dish. For instance, the corn bread (from the breaking bread) was something I did not expect to love. It was the softest corn bread with a subtle crystallized sugar on top like one would for a creme brulee. I've expected to have normal bread but this blew me away. We ordered the breaking bread, Brussel sprouts, goodness steak, fries, prawns and polenta, and rugleach for dessert. Here is the breakdown of what we ordered (from my favorite to least): -Goodness Steak: the steak was cooked to perfection. The temperature was just right and the protein was so tender. The mashed potato and spinach were great complimenting the entire dish. -Brussel sprouts: It was crispy and lemony. -Rugelach: the chantilly lemon cream was perfect to the dessert-Breaking bread: the corn bread is a must try. The focaccia was warm and fluffy. The bagel was cold and I'd prefer to have another corn bread instead. -Prawns & Polenta: the shrimp was fresh. It was a light dish. So if you're hungry maybe order another dish. -Fries: soggy and sad. But was very similar to McDonald's fries. I would pass on ordering fries next time. Parking: there was plenty of street parking before 6 pm. Valet is there at night. Atmosphere: the restaurant is small but the interior design is elevated. It felt like going into a hole in the wall NYC restaurant. The restroom sink is awkward and hard to use but the restrooms had a private toilet rooms. Overall impression: 5/5 would definitely come again

Great service and energy from staff. Great music. Good food. Upscale soul dishes. Had the snapper, fried chicken, and the steak. All of the dishes prepared and presented elegantly. The snapper was my least favorite because of the cut used and the cornmeal breading. The bread pudding dessert dish was . I'll definitely be coming back.
