We came here for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We had never dined at the Culver Hotel and we both love historic treasures. I was a little concerned about some of the reviews but we had such a wonderful experience. A lot of the negative reviews had to do with customer service, and our experience was quite the opposite. We were served everything quickly and attentively, and our main server gave great recommendations and apologized for "waits" when there wasn't even a wait! After we were seated, we asked to be moved to the pretty spacious table next to the large window, and they were happy to accommodate. Giving us a memorable experience seemed to be very important to all of the staff. Drinks - I fell in love with the Dillinger (Old Forrester, Mexican corn whiskey, licor de elote). It tasted like a slightly sweet kettle corn old fashioned. My husband actually ordered it, and traded drinks with me because I loved it so much. Food - We ordered the scallop crudo to share, the house baguette, and French onion soup to share. I'm glad we ordered the scallops and the strawberry pairing was unexpected and interesting. My personal fave was the soup, which our servers kindly split into 2 tureens for us to share (soup is pretty hard to share otherwise, amirite?) It was so delicious that I found myself peeling the extra cheese from the bowl. For mains, I went with the Tagiatelle and husband ordered the steak frites. While the pasta was delicious and rich with flavor, the wagyu was one of the juiciest, most tender and well-seasoned steaks I've had in a while and I'm not even a big steak/red meat lady. Paul just ordered better than me overall! The live jazz band added even more to the beautiful ambiance. You wouldn't be out of place dressing fancy like we did, or even getting up to dance! There is also a bar/lounge upstairs and a bar on the 1st floor if you wanted to enjoy the music longer or have a nightcap.

I celebrated a friends birthday with high tea at Lillie's on 2-22-25 and unfortunately received subpar service. I don't want to be a Karen but I do feel this warranted a negative review given the pricy cost of the tea.I called the day before to confirm my reservation and was asked if I preferred outdoor or indoor seating, I said outdoor and did specify I was celebrating someone's birthday. When we arrived for our reservation they tried sitting us indoors to which I kindly said I had asked for outdoor seating prior. The woman who sat us was clearly miffed by my remark and led us outside but did note that there was limited availability. Again, I said I had specified for outdoors and she begrudgingly gave us a table. I want to note that the outdoor area was relatively empty and remained so for the duration of our time there. Now for the rest of the service: our order was taken pretty quickly. From there, we waited, waited and waited. Our server was nowhere to be found so I went inside to inquire about our order. After speaking to someone and going to back to my table, wouldn't you know it, our server immediately came out with our food. We were then ignored the rest of our time at Lillie's.This is a 4-star hotel and I am appalled by the quality of the service. The tea was great and so were the sandwiches and pastries. Moreover, the outdoor area is gorgeous. However, it's a shame that all of that was overshadowed by our negative experience and that I had to pay $200 for it to boot. Im not sure if we caught them on a bad day but nevertheless, I will be not returning here.

The ambience of this restaurant at the historic culver hotel was perfect. I am a big fan of vintage style. We came in for NYE event and the second seating gave us our table for the entire night. To be honest the food wasn't great but service was top notch. I liked the scallop risotto but other dishes were mediocre at best. The NYE event was fun and lively though. We'd come back here for drinks and hanging out but not the food!

We booked a reservation for dinner for 3 people here. They only had drinking table. We had to hold the plate to eat because there wasn't an actual dining table available. The accommodation was horrible. It felt like we went to Rocco's or Barney's with overpaid food. Also, we were surprised by the exotic dancer. I was okay with it but my party was disturbed by the sudden appearance of the dancer who started stripping her clothesThe overall food service was so so. Food was okay and I have no complaints about that. But the settings, layout, and experience were unpleasant and unprofessional for such a fancy theme dining restaurant.

Ambiance 5/5: the restaurant is located in the lobby and outside yard of the hotel, its dining vibe is classic and elegant, high ceilings and gorgeous chandelier, live jazz music performances at nightService 3/5: the host was lack of attention, I asked for seating with good lighting, but ended up seating at a dark spot, the server was friendly though a bit slow with ordering, still refilled water adequatelyFood & Drink 3/5: very simple menu, not that many dishes to choose from Steak Frites - *** American Wagyu Bavette, Bearaise, overcooked meat Le Royal with Cheese - *** Wagyu Beef, Butter Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Gruyere, overcooked patty Mac & Cheese - **** Rigatoni, Truffle, Mornay, Fontina, very creamy and tasty, recommend Pommes Frites - **** Garlic Aioli, crispy, recommend Belgian IPA - *** La Chouffe, average Price 2/5: moderate portions and pricey for its quality, expect $50+ per person

The food was good and the place was beautiful, however, the service was disappointing. My friend had made a reservation for us and called the day before to confirm outdoor seating. However, when we arrived, her details were not noted, and were met with a begrudging remark from the host. After being seated, I noticed the tables were dusty, but could tell it was from being outside. Our server arrived to provide us with water and take our orders. We ordered the high tea. It took about 50 minutes to get our food. My friend had asked about the orders to see if they had forgotten, and not too long after that, our food was delivered. Our server came back one more time after that to clear our plates and ask us if we needed anything. The place wasn't excessively busy, as most of the seating was empty around us, so it didn't make sense as to why we were ignored. Our meal together cost nearly $200 yet the service did not equate to the pricepoint. We have gone to other greatly reviewed places for high tea and that was worth it, but Lillie's wasn't.

Very good avocado toast. Very limited menu. Very confused staff. But very good overall. Our waitress had a bit of trouble understanding that we were there with a reservation at first (truth be told - you don't need one), but once we got that sorted out, she was sweet.Got the avocado toast and an iced latte. The flavor options were minimal but with some simple syrup and oatmilk, the latte was good. Avocado toast was superb. The outdoor garden patio was so freaking cute. Great little coffee chat spot.

Located in the historic Culver Hotel, Lillie's is a charming restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining. We went for lunch and had a delightful experience. From the friendly greeting by Sabrina to the whole dining experience, everything was most enjoyable. We sat outside on a warm, sunny day though well protected by the shade from the many trees on the patio. The lunch menu had a good selection of starters, salads, and entrees. My Tuscan make salad with avocado was delicious with just the right amount of dressing to balance the sweet and savory tastes. The portion was more than adequate. My friends had the French onion soup tagliatelle and the grain bowl. The pasta was well prepared though a bit on the sweet side. The grain bowl (which was a plate) was surprisingly overloaded with parsley which made for an unbalanced dish. The restaurant has a full bar with some interesting cocktails on offer, but we stuck to tap water for the lunch!

We came here for lunch with friends and had a delightful outdoor table reminiscent of being in Europe. The ambiance was great. Too bad the food and service didn't match. My wife and I ordered the Grain Bowl (2/5 $28) and the French Onion Tagliiatelle (3/5 $20) from the Lunch Menu. Rather than being served in a bowl, the Grain Bowl was presented deconstructed on a plate. The Curry Chicken lacked curry; the Red Endive was a parsley salad with a hint of red endive leaves; the Lemon Farro was absent any lemon flavor. The French Onion Tagliiatelle was too sweet IMHO. Yes, I expected sweetness from Vidalia Onions and the Cognac, but I suspect unnecessary sugar was added to the sauce. Service was slow to respond to requests and generally not attentive.

Highly recommend this location for afternoon tea with your friends or family. The location is so beautiful inside that it makes it seem you are inside a palace. Each person costs $75 and it comes with tea along with sandwiches and pastries. First, you order your tea from a selection of flavors. I ordered a calming camomile tea. Our server first brought us some macerated berries to begin our meal. Then they brought us an assortment of sandwiches (veggies, chicken, and fish), sweet treats, and scones. There were four of us, so they brought us two trays, enough for all four of us to try one of everything on the menu. Everything was delicious and we even had some leftovers to take home.
