Food is decent, presentation was very nice. Service and ambiance is top notch as is expected for a high end roof top restaurant.

This place is absolutely perfect for a celebration or a romantic date. It is inside the Ritz Carlton and has superb views of DTLA. The food and cocktails were amazing and we had a great time. Pictured are some of our dishes and their celebration dessert.

My daughter picked this place for our Christmas dinner. Decent price, nice service, it was very decent for a downtown L.A. restaurant. Some tourist was giving a bad reviews but being a local L.A. resident, this is a decently priced restaurant. I would disregard that review. Who splits meal with a group of adults? What are you 12? If you can't afford it, find some place else for a dining. I ordered the rack of lamb and my daughter ordered the American Wagyu ribeye. Everything was decent.

We had a "light" meal: we split two mains between four folks. It was over $600. Now, I don't mind spending money on a wonderfully memorable experience. This was definitely not it. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive...and that's about the only positive thing I can say. The restaurant was frigid. Our medium rare steak was rare. The salad and mashed potatoes are better at home. When you charge $95 for a steak, get it right. And don't set the temperature to suit the staff; make it work for the guests. At a lower price point, this restaurant might be three stars; at these prices, one star is appropriate.

Lena at Sendero was definitely an experience. I visited here as a treat for my birthday on a whim. So here it goes: Parking: Parking is difficult. There is a paid lot as it is located next to LA Live, so you may park at the lot and pay for parking there. Or you can park in one of the may other lots surrounding the hotel. Since it was my birthday, I chose to valet which cost me roughly $30 with tip. I would recommend carpooling and valeting as it was a simple drop and pick up without having to walk far, not to mention your probably dressed for a nicer dinner and not a casual night out. Interior/ Ambiance: Ok here is where it gets good. Sendero is located on the 26th floor of the Ritz so you get the panoramic views of Downtown from the bar all the way to the restaurant. Whether your there for dinner or your sitting just grabbing a drink, the views are wonderful. Lighting is slightly hushed with an emphasis on darker yellow tones. This emphasize a mellow yet social atmosphere. When entering the main dining area, there was a live performer playing music which added on to the already mellow vibe by adding a bit of jazz and salsa pieces. Food: I had ordered the empanadas to start, with the Australian wagyu steak, with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. The empanadas were to die for. The crust was flakey and mimicking a fresh baked pie crust. Paired with fresh salsa it was simply divine to partake. The steak was cooked to perfection with that nice crust and juicy medium-rare interior. It was seasoned, however, I did not taste much of the seasoning on my steak. I leaned on their take on the A1 steak sauce which enhanced the steak enough to a point to where I disregarded the seasoning entirely. Overall:The service was great and I was well taken care of especially since I was a solo diner. However, the better question is, would I go back? Probably. I say this because the food didn't wow me enough to warrant a more excited tone. I enjoyed my food, especially the empanadas, however, the main course didn't do enough for me to get excited enough to visit again and try another offering. If you want the views and a good steak in downtown, this can be on your radar. However, it would not be at the top of my list.

Beautiful 24th floor DTLA views in the Ritz Carlton hotel. You will pass Corteza, the open kitchen, an Agave bar and their Chef's table before getting to Leña. Warm, inviting decor with panoramic views. Live guitarist playing soft music. Attentive, friendly, great service by Kelly and food was good as well. Fried potato cheese balls - not sure what it was called but chef wanted us to try it & it was goodOysters - hubby said they were extremely fresh Spinach & cheese empanadas - perfectly cooked and tastyWhite asparagus - these were delicious!!Whipped potato - creamy and yummyPrime bone-in ribeye - perfectly cooked to our liking and flavorfulTorte de mils hojas - nice, light and great! We got another treat at the end which was a traditional Argentinian biscuit/cookie that's had a caramel filling with coconut around the edge. Very good!Valet parking is $15 for 1st 2 hours but be sure to get a $5 validation from restaurant. Would we come back? Yep!

Came here with my friends on August 22 before the Drake concert. I haven't been since the remodel this year. Wow, the restaurant is extremely beautiful. Super romantic and intimate setting compared to the former restaurant. Our server Kelly was amazing. She was quick with the recommendations, cognizant of the food allergies, and generous with the added chef tastings. She was not an up seller, rather she suggested dishes that made sense in our limited timeframe. She also generously added a dish, cauliflower, which I was curious about. The food is delicious, I recommend the Waygu, Parker rolls, empanadas, and the cauliflower or mushrooms. Not sue why this place only had 3 stars, but it's a hidden gem. Be sure to ask for Kelly!
