Laya Restaurant

We came on a Saturday night right when they opened. Highly recommend booking in advances because it's a popular spot. We ordered the hummus as an appetizer and main course we chose the beef Wagyu skewer and the whole chicken plate. Just a heads up that the whole chicken is huge and definitely shareable! For drinks we ordered The Oasis and Ruby Rye. Everything was delicious! The service was excellent too with attentive staff! Although this establishment gets its main exposure through social media, it is more than that offering a great experience and authentic dishes. Will return again soon!

My friend and I dined at Laya on a Friday evening, and I must say, the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking. The ambiance is chic and cozy, enhanced by comfy furniture and soft, ambient lighting that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. I love the variety of seating options available, from a fire pit area to a plush couch section, along with a bar area then the standard tables and chairs. Even though the restaurant was bustling that night, the open floor plan made it feel spacious and comfortable, allowing for a relaxed but vibrant dining experience.Our order: Hummus 9/10Chicken skewers 10/10 (very tender and well seasoned) Octopus skewers 10/10 ( perfectly grilled ) Grilled red seabream 10/10 - Absolutely amazing!!!!We didn't order dessert, however, the staff surprised my friend with a delightful pistachio soft serve topped with cotton candy (8/10) to celebrate his birthday. It was a thoughtful touch that added to our experience.With exceptional customer service, a fantastic atmosphere, and mouthwatering food, I couldn't give Laya anything less than a 10 out of 10- ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!

Saw this place on social media a while back and was enamored by it. I was worried it would not live up to expectations as some reviews mentioned poor quality of food. Service was amazing and food was amazing. The front of house was super nice and waiter Shadow was very nice as well. We ordered:- cannellini bean hummus- batata harra- chicken kebab - lamb and beef kebabMy fav was definitely the batata harra and the lamb/beef kebab. The potatoes were super crunchy and the green sauce was perfect. All the micro greens on everything paired so well. Corkage fee is $50 a bottle up to 2, 750ml bottles. They cannot be on their menu. Valet was the worst experience ever. The workers were INSANELY rude for a nice restaurant. $20 valet card or cash. When we arrived the valet dudes were super off putting and when coming back they revved my bfs car too high. They really need some experience because how will you drive manual and mess that up. Then when they gave us the car, the driver dude tried to take my bfs AirPods??? Saying they were his. I was genuinely so confused and bothered because why were they acting so weird and just not nice at all. Laya really needs to figure that out because that is the FIRST interaction that sets the tone of the experience and was so sour.

Parking was a bit of a challenge and can see it being a problem on any other busy weekend night. We were seated quickly without delay on a Thursday night. The service staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The vibe is def SoCal beach with a live DJ. Ordered a pickles and potatoes appy. The pickled dish was a little too salty for my health but loved them nonetheless. Potatoes were good but not like patatas bravas as I thought they would be. Ordered a lamb and a chicken skewer. Both were well cooked and very tender. Also enjoyed the sides they came with very much. Pistachio cake was sooo delicious! Definitely shareable for 2-4 Definitely want to come back if I'm in the area again

Laya is beautifully done in every way. The modern Mediterranean style of the decor and the indoor/outdoor setup and the large trees in the middle of the dining room all help create an elegant, lovely ambiance. The food and drinks were artisanal and fresh. We loved the cocktails and the beet hummus was a highlight. It's not surprising that the internet raves about Laya. A must-experience when in Hollywood. You won't regret it!

One of the most breathtaking restaurants you will ever come across. I have nothing but great things to say about Laya. Ambiance: 10/10Service: 10/10 Food Quality/Taste: 10:10 Menu Options: 10/10 Cocktails: 10/10 You will not go wrong with ordering anything off of this menu. I highly recommend the Ahi Tuna Crudo, & the Mix Grill Platter. For cocktails, "The Oasis & Hadiqa Sour."

Wow. This experience goes beyond a simple meal; it is truly a culinary journey.From start to finish, this restaurant has flawlessly executed its vision. The decor is stunning--elegant and warm--with a beautiful wall of pottery art valued at $50,000. The unique concept of outdoor-indoor dining allows guests to look up and see the sky while enjoying perfectly spaced tables equipped with fire pits. There's even a DJ playing subtle, upbeat music at the perfect volume, which enhances conversation. And let's not forget the numerous photo opportunities everyone can enjoy!The service was excellent. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. (Our waiter amusingly mistook me for Mila Kunis.) I'm unsure if that influenced our level of service, but everything was perfect. Very pretty and beautiful ambiance, I love the setup.The fact that tables are so close to each other and the next table could clearly listen to your conversation it's not fun. The food was good, we ordered some shareable dishes and we enjoyed it. Drinks are amazing!Would like to go back for another visit.

OMG 5 stars in my book!!As soon as you walk in you are just mesmerized by the beautiful lighting, the writing on the walls, the open air and just ambience.I came here for my Birthday with my Yelp BFF Karren and seriously I was blown away by everything. Thank you Karren for the best birthday celebration. So glad we got to experience this together. We got an early reservation for 6pm which was perfect, I wanted to arrive early so I could experience the day time/night time and take some pictures. Quite honestly, it was perfect because the place was empty and we were able to capture some lovely photos. The vibe was just on point, they had a dj right in the middle and our servers were awesome. For starters we ordered the beetroot hummus, eggplant and potatoes which were suggested by our server. The hummus and potatoes were my absolute favorite, super flavorful and I couldn't get enough. I loved the baby gem lettuce that accompanied the hummus and the fresh pita bread as well. They were super unique, and the potatoes were super flavorful. I highly recommend these and would order these again. We also ordered the chicken skewers and fish. I've had better chicken before but I did like the garlic sauce and the pickles/onions that it came with. It did add some more flavor but I think they can improve on this dish. My friend enjoyed her fish.I also ordered a mocktail and my friend ordered a cocktail, both were great.Lastly, we got the pistachio with cotton candy dessert and my oh my it was absolutely delicious, the presentation was so beautiful and I wanted to eat more but I was stuffed.Shout out to our servers Dj and Sean, they were super sweet and attentive and made our experience a great one. Throughout the night it got busier and just the vibe was on point with the music, the twinkling lights and the fire pits.I recommend this place for date nights, get togethers with a big group or just people wanting a great meal. This is the place to go.I hope they can add some more chicken dishes in the future and I definitely plan on coming back and would highly recommend.

Great vibes and aesthetic. The service unfortunately was horrible - we had a reservation for when it opened and we were at the bar and I had to go up 4 separate times to remind them and one of the hosts got snappy with me until I told her we'd been told to wait and we had a reservation and she apologized but it was just rude. Especially because it wasn't even busy at that time so they need to do better with customer service. Food was good but not amazing for the prices listed.
