I'd award Laurel Hardware's outdoor patio, filled with trees and twinkle lights, SIX stars if I could. It rivals other tree-centric establishments like Bacari's in Silver Lake, Home in Los Feliz, and Aroma in Studio City. Needless to say, this is perfect spot for a first time date, casual business dinner, or romantic celebration. We arrived with a group of work friends a minute past Happy Hour. The 5-6pm menu looked great, but dinner is what we all got excited over when making plans. But first, we drank!* Gangster mixed Rain Cucumber Vodka with fresh watermelon juice, lime, & yum.* Tasty White Burgundy from Montagny, Buxy, France 2020.* Balanced Opolo Cab from Paso 2021.* 2020 Château La Coste Syrah also was a good choice for the evening.* Yes, the wine menu was diverse and offered a nice variety of luxury vintages. All great for cheers-ing.Our server was very attentive throughout our several course sampling. She was also very patient with us in our decision-making process. Everything looked amazing on the menu, especially these delectable bites:* Lollipop Sprouts with ranch, avocado, toasted pepitas was creamy & delish. It's a LH specialty menu item and I can see why.* Wild Mushroom Flatbread with arugula is my personal go-to whenever I spot it on a menu. This one didn't disappoint.* Duck Fried Rice was topped with a egg (sunny side up), bok choy, cilantro, and edamame. I had higher hopes, but the salads helped enhance its flavor.* Apple & Endive Salad with shaved Brussels sprouts & candied walnut. Yum.* Shawarma plate was made with tender & moist chicken and mild Mediterranean seasoning. Also yum.* Crispy Rice Salad tossed with blood orange, toasted sesame cashews and Jidori chicken. Need I say any more?! * Dessert was a scoop of fresh fruit sorbet. Too stuffed to shovel in more than a teaspoon.

I'm genuinely impressed by both the food and service that we received for Valentines Day. I had the branzino (minus the dairy) and my partner the short rib tagliatelle. The acidity on the branzino and the portion size was spot on.I went back solo 3 days later for a $10 glass of HH rose at the bar and it was perfection.

Yes, I am THAT offended and motivated to post this negative review and direct complaint about a manager named Melissa who was arrogant, condescending, entitled who discriminated and was extremely passive aggressive, xenophobic towards the group of six people I was with. She asserted they were closing our tab because they were afraid that we would not have enough money to pay for the tab (approx. $600 was paid). We were NOT difficult to deal with nor were we intoxicated. We were a group of six minorities enjoying our night. Melissa even asked the bounced who works by the front door to stand close to our table inside of the restaurant which clearly was an attempt to intimidate us.I've been coming to this place for YEARS, way before the pandemic hit. Always had great experiences here, I've never been a part of socioeconomic and racial discrimination like we just were at this place.Disclaimer:I am just another regular paying customer who expressed my firsthand experience and/or opinion as a paying customer with no conflict of interest. I officially assert that I am not a current or former employee, an applicant seeking employment, a family member, competing business, or business-to-business. I simply am a law obeying citizen who was discriminated against by the staff.Management must immediately train and/or terminate Melissa as she is a lawsuit waiting to happen. For the record, the biggest sign the management at Laurel Hardware knew this complaint is valid is that my two charges (my share in the tab, almost $200) were silently cancelled/removed/reimbursed from my credit card. That speaks volume and proves my point. If this negative review is taken down, I WILL look for litigation.

This place was a nice vibe for a girl's night out. We got the spicy salmon tartare, which was good. Rigatoni bolognese was nothing special, would definitely recommend skipping. The chicken shawarma plate was the best dish we ordered, the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. I got a matcha melon cocktail that was really yummy and easy to drink. Our server was friendly but everything moved really slow, it did take like 20-30 minutes of waiting for each dish to come out and for us to get the check. It was super packed and lively for a Friday night, I would recommend making a reservation. Even with a reservation we still had to wait but thankfully it wasn't longer than 15 minutes. I think this is a spot where you pay for the ambiance to be honest.

Boyfriend took me here for a little holiday brunch date. They had a beautiful Christmas tree up in the lounge area which was so cute!A lot of reviews state that their food quality was mid or service was bad but we had not problems at all. Street parking obviously but not too hard to find. Ordered the crispy rice salad and lollipop sprouts for appetizers. Got the veal pasta as an entree. I'm not going to lie this is some of the best food I've ever had in Los Angeles and that says alot. The lamb pasta was god sent.

Overall Laurel Hardware had a very beautiful ambiance! The lights are very pretty inside and the restaurant is quite elegant. The style of the restaurant is intended to look like a hardware store from the outside. I personally think it would feel more upscale if they redesigned the front. They serve everything family style here, which is not really my taste when dining but I'm always open to try new foods :) Overall, the shrimp tacos were the best thing I tried- very flavorful. My friends raved about the bolognese pasta but I did not try. Margherita pizza lacked flavor and was very thin- Salmon tartare was okay. For family style and the price, I wish the portions where a bit larger. The atmosphere was cute, but I was not crazy about the food .

The ambiance at Laurel Hardware is nice, but the customer service really missed the mark. From the moment we walked in, we felt ignored, as if we weren't a priority. It took a long time for anyone to acknowledge us, and even after ordering, the wait for our food was far too long. When the food finally arrived, some dishes, like the pizza, were cold, which was disappointing. The staff didn't seem attentive or engaged, and it felt like we had to constantly ask for basic things like water or check-ins on our order. Good service can make up for average food, but in this case, both were lacking. Not sure if I'd return anytime soon.

Laurel Hardware's concept is modern & classy. From the outside, it looks like a hardware store, but on the inside, it is a beautifully designed restaurant that dazzles secretively. The quality of service throughout my dinner was impeccable, and the space was elevated. I chose Laurel Hardware for my birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the rigatoni bolognese, Margherita pizza, truffle fries, and maitake mushroom ravioli. All items were delicious, but the bolognese was a bit too salty. The mushroom ravioli was a creamy blend of hearty flavors which our party enjoyed. The most outstanding cocktail was the sakura fizz which was a clean and fresh taste. I love Laurel Hardware's ambiance. It is cozy yet fancy. It's a beautiful place to celebrate!

It would be more of a 4.5 then a 5. At first I was going to give a 3 because it took so long to get our orders in after we got our drinks but then I noticed it was because the waiter (johnathan, I think) was really taking care of all the tables. He was making sure everyone was taken care of. It was pretty dark we were all struggling to see the menu and the booth tables were very low. The food was 10/10. The whole table had to complaints about any of the food. And we all loved the wings !!!! Soo good and we all agreed the truffle fries were the best we had.
