Stumbled across this place because the original spot I wanted to eat at didnt workout. This spot was quite the nice surprise, the katsu portion was ridiculously big. I think this might be the biggest pork katsu Ive seen at a restaurant in my life. The katsu was crispy and the meat was juicy. The plate I got came with 2 faaat shrimps and those were a great addition.I came in a saturday night and it was kind of empty, which was surprising to me. Service was fast. Definitely check this place out if you're craving for some katsu. This plate I got was only $25.Also, gotta find street parking yourself as this place has no parking lot.

I've dined at Lasung House a couple of times now since the grand opening, and it never disappoints! Their Korean-style jumbo pork cutlet (I ordered the half classic and half spicy with the sauces on the side) is super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside--just the way it should be. The portion sizes are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. I always share with someone and we still can't finish it because it's so big. The meal also comes with a cream soup as a little appetizer and a couple of side dishes.Besides the cutlet, they have some great fusion-style noodle dishes and a really refreshing sikhye slushie that's perfect after a heavy meal. I ordered the soba (cold buckwheat noodle) the last time I went and it was really good! It was refreshing and clean and helped cut through the oiliness of the fried donkatsu. Next time, I plan on trying out their udon! The service is pretty laid-back and the workers are polite but not super attentive. My boyfriend and I were seated at a really small table at first and I noticed that some booths were open so I asked if we could sit in one. The guy server proceeded to tell us that we can't sit there because we're only 2 people and there's not a lot of big tables left. I was a little confused because there were more than 5 booths with just 2 people sitting there and it wasn't like the restaurant was busy (no wait). But I think the other server heard me talk about it with my boyfriend and quickly asked if we would like to sit in a booth, which we really appreciated! Overall, Lasung House has a cozy, no-frills vibe, which makes it a great spot to grab some solid comfort food. If you're craving a legit Korean-style donkatsu, this is the place to go!

I'm not sure why I didn't review Lasung sooner, especially because I go here regularly, but I feel like Lasung hands down has the best Korean style donkatsu (pork cutlet) in LA....and they have really good prices. The katsu itself is thin, which I actually absolutely LOVE because you get more crisp in each bite. The katsu is also always fried so perfectly. The portions are enormous, and one order is enough for 2 people, unless you're super hungry. All the sides and banchan are also fabulously done--just absolutely my style-- especially the macaroni salad (fresh and less sour mayo) and the radish kimchi (almost sweet and not as fermented). I love everything about this place. The food is super delicious and the service is always excellent. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, A+

I thoroughly enjoyed dining at Lasung House located in ktown on Olympic. They have a variety of different pork, cutlet dishes that you can choose from as well as some pasta dishes and fried rice dishes. Big restaurant and can seat many people. Went on a weekend and there was no waitService was really nice attentive. Food came out pretty quickly. Pork cutlet was big enough for two people to share. Something about the sauce that they use here for the pork cutlets is so delicious not too salty compared to other places. Definitely will be coming back.Their rice drink was really tasty and recommend to anyone who likes Korean rice drinks. They do have a small parking lot, but you probably have a better chance of parking on the side somewhere.

I was trying to Uber eats something and the food was inedible, so I had to order something else really quickly and Lasung House came up. I have seen Lasung when I drive around the area and it always seemed super packed. I really wanted to try this at the restaurant since I knew it was fried, but desperate times calls for desperate measure. I opted for curry donkatsu and a regular donkatsu. First, I will have to have that the food packaging was amazing. It was sturdy and super nice and they ensure that the food was still crispy, which I really appreciated. And, the quantity was huge! It was a pretty big donkatsu. As for the taste? It was crispy and tender. I really enjoyed the curry vs the regular sauce, just cause I thought that the regular sauce was a little too sweet. The side dish was also perfect for the katsu. The only thing is that I wished they gave a little more radish kimchi and jalapeno because they really complemented each other well. I definitely want to try to go to Lasung House next time in person. I really wanted to try the noodles, but thought it would not keep well during the delivery. But, will definitely order here again for sure.

Lasung House specializes in a variety of Korean comfort dishes including giant pork chops that are breaded and deep fried. Our waitress said that they are actually more similar to a schnitzel than tonkatsu, which I find very interesting! Either way they are absolutely delicious and a great price at about $20 a plate (and it comes with banchan and other sides). I love that they also come with a complimentary soup. I love to get my pork chops with spicy sauce and when I'm feeling extra, with torched cheese. I also love the spaghetti bolognese here, which is extra meaty and garlicky.Service is friendly and efficient and the ambiance is clean and casual. There is a small parking lot in the back in addition to street parking. FYI this is the same restaurant group as Origin, Quarters and Moohan.

This place feels like Korea 30 years ago. Cute decor and nostalgic. Donkatsu is humongous and I couldn't finish the fish kansu either. Food tastes adequate. Will try other dishes next time. The server could have been friendlier, which would have improved the whole experience of "nostalgic time travel".

Lasung Pork Cutlet was deliciously fried and the Tomato Curry Sauce complimented the dish. You get a big plate of pork cutlet, macaroni, salad, and a scoop of rice. I was so FULL afterward. Enjoyed my meal :) and there was parking on the side of the restaurant.

Was pretty excited to try this place because we love katsu! It is more Korean as a restaurant but still a pretty solid and good place to enjoy katsu! Service was really friendly and nice! The portions are pretty nice and filling so you do get your moneys worth! We'll be honest though, the katsu was solid, but we actually enjoyed and loved the spicy cold wheat noodles more than the katsu! Would recommend asking for the sauce to be on the side so that it doesn't drench your katsu and make it soggy and less crispy! Great place for all casual occasions! Would highly recommend!
