La Taza de Café

I needed a place with wifi to do some mid-day work near Hollywood and Highland on a recent Friday afternoon. This place was convenient and fairly easy to find directly off of the escalator on the 3rd floor. I ordered a crepe only to learn that the Wifi is available from the shopping complex, not the restaurant itself. The crepe was fine but the strawberries were a little under-ripe. The person behind the counter was friendly and since there was no line, he started making my order right away. There is a lot of outdoor seating and a couple of seats inside. It was nice to eat outside in the fresh air on a warm autumn day.

Excited to go to the premiere of Gladiator II and the party thereafter. Yes there would be food then but 2 1/2 hours of movie without anything in the stomach sounded terrible. Not easy to find something next to the Chinese theater in Hollywood, but La Taza de Café was not only super cute and friendly, but offered two beautiful and tasty crepes, one vegetarian, one more dessert like. Both yummy!!!

First off service was excellent and the folks taking our order and preparing it were so nice, helpful and kind. The savory crepe was not sweet almost tasted like pizza but without the heaviness of actual pizza. There was both indoor and outdoor seating which was great since sitting outside in 75 degree weather called for some outdoor seating to enjoy Hollywood.

So happy to find this great new little cafe upstairs in the Ovation Center. You can also access from the street with the back stairs btw.We'd been going to a different cafe downstairs but I haven't rated them as it's never consistent and not really great. So, we just tried out La Taza de Cafe and loved it! Thus, the review.I had a reg hot latte which is my go to. The milk was steamed properly, it was just the right temp, and the foam was just right too! Win. Win. Win.Starbucks can't even do that anymore.Next, the treat. My girls just wrapped their Christmas performance downstairs so we treated ourselves to a Nutella Crepe. It's kind of hard to mess that up and they certainly didn't. It was great! A little something sweet for us to split and it went perfectly with our drinks.My daughters had an almond milk latte and a mango strawberry ice tea - both of which they loved.Happy to have found this great new cafe and to have met Miguel, the owner, who you can tell takes pride in what he does. That's rare. Keep it up and you'll have an awesome business in the heart of Hollywood!

This place is delicious!! They are very friendly and the crepe and Tascalate were delicious!!! I got a Mazapán, Strawberry, Banana, Philadelphia, Lechera Crepé! Got one to share between two of us, wish we each got one instead. This place is a little hidden, upstairs in the Ovation building, so look for them! It's worth it.

Very great service and really good coffee. The person that helped us was very nice and polite.

The girl was very nice to me and it is a cute little place. Just don't ask for an Americano. It tasted disgusting and looked like tea. I gave it back to them to trash it.

Newest cafe at Ovation, My new go-to since i work in the mall. The friendliest staff with true dedication in their product, they serve with love. I was iffy about getting the croissant bc i don't eat ham much but she convinced me and I had to try it! It's light, flavorful & the perfect size. Do you see the layers in that croissant?? So good The frappe was also very good, they have an amazing variety of flavors! The shop is very cute and intimate with an amazing view of the hollywood stars. They decorated it very nice and cozy, I almost wish it was enough space to sit inside because I love it in there! I 10/10 recommend, they deserve all the love because they sure do make you feel it & taste it

For an inexpensive quick bite overlooking Hollywood Blvd! What can be better? If you happen to see Hollywood Character performers taking a rest there, compliment them!

I have tried their red fruit tea, caramel frappe, cappuccino and blackberries crepe! AMAZING! I am a tea lover and the fruit tea has got to be the best I have ever tasted. The caramel frappe was not too sweet and perfectly flavored. Cappuccino nice and strong. Berry crepe was so fresh, savory and beautifully adorned. It was very apparent to me that the crepe mix is fresh and made with the highest ingredients. Finally, the service was top notch. Very friendly and quick. I am so happy I have a go to place when I visit Hollywood!
