Came here after sailing in the marina but was supremely disappointed. We were definitely misled by the reviews here..2.5 stars. While the service was friendly and actually quite good, the food was simply terrible. The pasta was overcooked and doused with sauce that tasted only marginally better than store bought sauce. Perhaps the non pasta dishes are better but I'm not keen to find out..

Excellent pasta dishes. Service and food choices. Views of Marina. Way better than the overpriced UOVO across the marina. Eat here!

We returned to La Marina Trattoria for my partner's birthday, and unfortunately, I need to knock a star off because, while the service is still spot-on, the food was just almost too salty to eat. Probably would have been delicious if the chef did not have such a heavy hand with the salt shaker. We ordered the short-rib ravioli special, and the Braciola Alla Salentina, along with the Sapori salad to share. The ambience is still nice, but the chefs absolutely need to tone down the salt.

First time trying this place today. Service was good, and the inside was fine. We tried the calamari/shrimpappetizer and that was REALLY good. Light batter and definitely fresh. I got the carbonara and that was pretty good...very cheesy, and a large serving. My wife had the pasta with clams in a white wine sauce, I forget the name of it, but unfortunately it was way too salty so we had to return it. After offering a couple times to make it fresh, they took it off the bill with no hassle. Not special enough for us to come back.

Fresh, Mediterranean cuisine in a charming waterfront setting served by a polite, professional wait staff. All this at a reasonable price. I usually avoid restaurants in tourist areas and almost never choose Italian restaurants, but this one is worth visiting. I read that it was a longtime family owned business that has new ownership, but has retained much of the staff. I've not been to Italy, so I can't compare the food to original dishes. In our party of four, two if us enjoyed the Insalata Marina, which was a large portion of seafood with a small amount of arugula and shaved potato in a perfectly seasoned lemon and olive oil dressing. My husband loved the Tonnarelli Pescatori with al dente square linguini style noodles in a mild uniquely seasoned tomato sauce. Our friend liked the Tagliatelle Bolognese, but found the meatballs to be just okay. The hot, fresh bread was a hit and we got seconds. We did not have wine, so I cannot comment on their selection. Overall, we're happy ho have discovered a new favorite so close to home and will return soon, especially with visitors.

Honestly the best dinner i've had in a while. Very atmospheric area next to the bay. I ordered the fish of the day served on top of very lemony and well seasoned spinach, absolutely blew me away. This was only made better by the complementary sourdough. I ate so much of that sourdough it's not even funny. My girlfriend's pasta was also very good, very spicy and cheesy. Appetizer was great as well. I forgot the name but it was toasted sourdough with prosciutto and a cheese dip.My one and -only- gripe was the seating. We were seated in a cramped area near a big ugly blue metal door, was not savory. However i'll let it slide because the food and service entirely made up for it. Bravo.

We chose this restaurant for a family dinner based on the pretty good reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The ambience was fine and the service was overall good, but the food on the night we went was mediocre at best. The calamari and shrimp appetizer and chopped salad were decent, but all 6 of us felt like our pastas were undercooked. That's coming from people who generally prefer it a bit al dente. The bolognese, pescatora, and vongole sauces were OK, but the carbonara was way too cheesy and rich, definitely not what I'm used to. I didn't even finish it.

We ride our bikes to La Marina Trattoria at least three out of every four weekends, usually enjoying either a full meal or a delicious appetizer (or two) with a glass of wine. Our experiences have typically been worthy of four stars. However, last night was a different story. We ordered our favorite appetizer, Burrata e Bietole, along with a bottle of wine. Everything was great until our third bite revealed a black hair. Looking closer, we found another one beneath the cooked tomatoes. Understandably, we were both surprised and disgusted. We informed the manager, who knows us well. He took the plate, apologized, and offered to bring another appetizer. We declined, as we had lost our appetite. What disappointed us most was instead of checking back in or assuring us that steps would be taken to prevent this in the future, the manager and server avoided us entirely. When we asked for the bill, the manager casually mentioned that the appetizer had been comped, but that was it. Are you kidding me? A proper response should have included not only an apology but also reassurance that cleanliness standards were being addressed. At the very least, comping the wine would have been a gesture of goodwill. Instead, we were charged in full for the wine.Sadly, we've decided that our almost weekly routine at La Marina Trattoria has come to an end. A truly disappointing experience for us and an unfortunate, permanent loss of loyal customers for them.
