The service is good but the food not so much!!! No ambiance. If you just look to get out the house, have a drink listen to some live music then this place would be OK but if you're really hungry, go somewhere else.

I can't complain about bad service because there wasn't any service smfh. I'm with my wife and mom and after we sat down there was no water or menus offered to us. The bartender was a waste of time as she only served the bar she says. Sat back down still no help. I talked to a "server" and she asked me what do I need? I need some service obviously, water menu or something. I talked to the manager and she was nice but also inattentive to us as we sat back down without any one offering us any service. We left and got Jamaican food. I would never patron this place again in life.

It's been a few years or 5, and the customer service is still the same ‍ I hate to keep complaining about This AGAIN. You know-WHAT, I ain't go say shih!

Been in LA/Ladera most of my life and had never been here. This is an old school lounge that has been around forever. Like The Townhouse and Pips on La Brea, you can get food and drinks while listening to a nice selection of music or a live band on some nights. I loved the little nooks and high tables so you can see the performances. It felt private but not secluded. There is plexiglass partitions in between some of the tables that I liked a lot. I'm going to be honest and say it's in need of refurbishing. It smelled of mold when we walked in. I'm actually ok with the age of the place because I love old lounges but this place has just seen better days. The windows and blinds were very dirty. 5/5: Music/atmosphere: the music was a blend of 70's and 80's R&B. I loved the music. (No live music when I went on a Tuesday night).5/5: Service: Our waitress was so nice. She had sugar dripping off her! She suggested drinks and was so sweet. 3/5: Food: honestly the food was on the salty side. Some of the menu items may need a revamp. The creole chicken had no garlic or cream, it was more of a sweet glaze. 4/5: Drinks - Strong and got the job done All in all the vibe was nice even though it was a very quiet night. People seemed welcoming and friendly.

The entertainment is amazing. Love the food. My favorite fried fish and Friday chicane fries.Can't beat the great music. No cover charge Live music R&B and Jazz.All in one place.Been coming here for 25 years .

Short Review:Old school soul vibe with strong drinks and live music. Bring a cigar with you to enjoy the outside patio. It's a great time for the older crowd, chill and fun. Long Review:So, I've been coming to La Louisnanne for a while now. I'm not from the local neighborhood, I drive in from Pasadena so it makes my visits a bit more infrequent. However, whenever I go it is a good time. It's usually a group of us that roll up, and this past time we met for a nice Friday evening out on the patio. Yes, it's an older +50 crowd for the most part, but that just means there is less drama and everyone is having a good time. The service we received was nice, but I will say that some of the gentlemen I was with knew the waitresses by name. So they were nice to us ladies as well. The guys were smoking their cigars and invited us to join, which was fun. Ok, but now let's talk about the food and drinks. The food: standard southern, creole fare. Nothing special, and also nothing you can really do to mess up fried fish and chicken. Just sayin'. It was all requisitely seasoned and crispy fried. The fries included. And all reasonably priced. The drinks: let me put it this way. Drink before you get there. They are awful. Doesn't matter which one you order. And you will save yourself the stomach ache and money. If they cared enough to follow the current trends of having a specialty drink menu with fresh, natural ingredients they would make a TON of money - which they could use to update the carpet at least. Ok, but enough of the negatives... overall if you're looking for a nice place to hang with friends, this place is cool. They do have a parking lot (valet) and it's conveniently located.

Sooo I had super high hopes for this place and it failed on every front. The food has me sick until this very moment, the waitress didn't know the difference between sparkling water and tonic water, and to top it off she was rude and ignorant. I searched for her name at least 7 times but clearly it was absent from her uniform. To make a bad situation even more excruciating the singer in the band was karaoke level talent. I heard him howling while I was in the bathroom and had to scurry for the door. I won't return willingly but I hope something comes of this because that place was miserable at best.

My first time here to celebrate my auntie birthday . It was packed in a great way tho --- Live band kept the hits playing. Drinks are totally worth the bill . Service is wonderful but it's not enough people working compared to the amount of people needing to be served .So the wait to order food and or drinks took a while . It's a nice location when you want to just go listen to some music have a drink after work for sure . Chanan I believe is her name was excellent

Thursday's fried chicken and red beans and rice is everything! Waitresses could stand for some training very unorganized. After paying one waitress another waitress came over to ask for payment as she was gg off duty smh.

The service was horrible. Waitress Dion had a major attitude. When we brought it to her attention about her attitude and how we felt we were treated, she got very defensive by telling us she had a lot on her plate which has nothing to do with us. We had to say something to her twice. Consequently, the three of us left her $0 tip. She even apologized with an attitude. So much for trying to patronize a black owned business. We all decided yo never go there again!!!
