La Casita is located in Hotel Fig but should not be confused with Cafe Fig (hotel restaurant in the front), Bar Magnolia (hotel bar) or Sparrow Italia (pool bar/restaurant). To get to La Casita, walk towards the pool passed Sparrow, under the grass awnings to the glass door on the right. There's a bar, lounge and stairs that go up to the rooftop. It's a small rooftop but through La Casita (buying a drink/food) is the way to access it. I ordered the prosecco & sorbet drink, but they were out of their seasonal sorbet, so the bartender whipped me up a strawberry bellini with a dash of aperitivo rosato. It was perfect! Valet parking here is a hit or miss. There is nearby street parking or $30 lot parking next door. We parked at LA Live for $10 for two hours and walked over. It's right across the street.

Went here after Trevor Noah show at the staples center. Love this spot. Nice outdoor area, right by the pool, beautifully painted wall on the hotel wall. Loved the whole ambiance.

Nice to place pre-game for a show at Staples Center and watch Hotel Figueroa guests in their native environment. These are the same food and drinks hotel guests are served... And they are delicious. Yes they are on the higher end of the price scale but the ingredients are clearly top notch.Big fan of the Hyatt chain... they always seem to get it right.

It's for sure a no from me. I brought my mom here to celebrate her birthday, wanting a pleasant experience since she's not from the area. We were greeted by the great hostess immediately! They asked my mom about her birthday and wished her well. Normal start to a birthday lunch. We choose to sit in the lounge, and that space is beautiful! The decor choices were excellent. Our server got us set up...and then she disappeared. At some point, another employee checked in and let us know she had to step away for a second, which was no problem. As we sat, there was a LOT of foot traffic. There was a door by our table that workers kept going in and out of. When we got our food, it was apparent very quickly that the door led to fly heaven. I'm not talking about one errant fly. There were many, and they were persistent. So much so that we couldn't even eat because we had to be vigilant about fighting them off. I saw our server in the distance, talking to her coworkers, so I went over to ask if we could move. A manager(?) heard me say excuse me and asked what I needed. When I explained about moving, I was told, "well, we're an outside restaurant, so there's going to be flies where ever you sit"...(As someone who, like most folks, has eaten exclusively on patios for the last year and a half, I was incensed. As if every patio in LA is covered in flies. As if it's impossible to have an outdoor space that's not rampant with the pests. What?)I just keep asking, and we get a seat closer to the pool. Once seated, the server doubled down that they're an "open-air restaurant," so flies are inevitable. As soon as she left, we ate our food to no flies at all. One didn't show up until we were just about done. Moving locations helped immensely. Unfortunately, I was already soured on the whole experience. And after all that...they wrote "Happy birthday" on the bill, and that was it. IHOP does more than that. Disappointing is an understatement. (Immediately after we went and ate outside at Grand Central Market ...no flies).

If you are looking for a chill place to have a meal with a beautiful view, this is your place. Service was amazing. Shout out to Karina for being so sweet and patient with us. Food was excellent! I had their burger and it was amazing. It was juicy, flavorful, and such a huge serving. The side of the horseradish dip and chipotle mayo were so good! Drinks were beautifully presented and tasted great. We had the ceviche and the white fish in ponzu sauce and gosh, those two were probably my favorite parts of our dinner. Lastly, desserts were just okay and I think that's why I'm giving a 4/5. The tres leches was extremely sweet, but also dry. It was almost like just a sponge cake. Tres leches should be a wet cake, and a very simple one. The only dessert I liked was the chocolate brulee, which tasted almost like Mexican chocolate and was very smooth, and not overwhelming at all. Overall, I enjoyed La Casita and will be coming back.
