Delicious ramen, delicious sushi, delicious katsu curry. It's so hard to find good katsu curry even in Los Angeles. Kopan got it perfectly! The pork katsu was crispy outside, but so tender inside. The curry itself had just the right amount of spice and sweetness. I also love that it's served in the stone pot/bowl -- it gets the rice a little crispy at the bottom.Ramen had good flavor and good noodle texture. The broth wasn't too salty like the ones from other ramen places. The salmon belly sushi I had was so good! The fish was fresh and super flavorful.

They've expanded their menu in the last few years. It's just enough of an expansion to where it's not overwhelming. It would be nice, however, if they could expand their menu to include more non-pork based ramen options. (I.e., Chicken or beef stock, etc.)The service is usually good and the booths give you a feeling of seclusion which is nice. The prices are reasonable too.

Kopan is a solid place for sushi and ramen. We were in town for a Universal Studios trip. Atmosphere is awesome! Feels like you're in a small town in Japan. Food is great. Everything we ordered was delicious. Good portions and very tasty. The octopus was the exception. It was a small portion in a little bowl. Other than that. The rice to fish portion was good on the sushi. Service was exceptional. Our waitress was patient and very attentive. Overall, a great experience. Definitely recommend

came by since it was close to the hospital. food was delicious. we ordered a dinner bento and the cheese katsu curry. once the food came, my parents both requested for a fork, but they only brought 1. stating that the forks needed to be washed. instead of offering plastic utensils, the server walked away, leaving my parents speechless. how were they supposed to enjoy the meal presented to them when the tools needed were not provided? we waited for a few more minutes to request a fork again and they weren't ready yet. when i requested for a plastic utensil set, i was greeted with an eye roll. def would not come back to this location as the staff was not nice.

Always been a supporter of Kopan and I just had lunch here and man they never fail me! Seared Chashu is a hit and the broth always on point! The service was great! The ambiance is nice low light and intimate! Overall I enjoy this place! For me it's 4 stars I just think it's kind of pricey but it's ok!

We were visiting the area and found this place on Yelp. Pleasantly surprised. Food is fresh and tasty. The service was pretty good too. Mark down was for the bathroom. And the fact that they ran out of cooked sushi rice- so there was a little delay with getting our rolls out. They attempted to make up for delay with a free can of lemonade. My friend and I went on a Sunday around 2PM. We were promptly sat at a booth and handed menus. The restaurant was appropriately and cutely decorated. They had a special which was buy one sushi roll and get the other one half off! The baked salmon roll was delicious!! It had a nice eel sauce that added richness to the roll. The salmon was baked to perfection. The geisha roll had seared salmon which was different! It featured fresh ingredients including shrimp tempura and avocado. The hint of spicy mayo added the needed spiciness without being too overpowering.

Food was decent, nothing to brag about. We came in about 1 hour prior to closing time, and felt rushed from the moment we walked in the door. At 10:55pm they came to tell us we had to leave because they were closing. There was no notice, no 10 minute warning, just a plain, you have to go. Bad customer service. I will not be coming back !

This place does get busy for dinner. My party and I waited 20-30 minutes for a table for 3. This restaurant does get a bit loud as it is narrow and of smaller scale. The staff is friendly and attentive, they try to quickly take your order. The evening of my visit they did run out of all soda except for Sprite. Once you order the food doesn't take long for them to prepare. After you receive your food and eat a bit it does feel a bit rushed. They are eager to have you pay for your bill and flip the table for the next guest.
