Kokio Chicken - Koreatown

What a great experience ! The food was delicious and freshly made . Expect a bit of a wait je to making your meal, fresh to order ! The place was clean, inviting and with clean restrooms for customers. Looking forward to trying out other dishes. I had the 5 wings (crispy and tender) plate with slaw in a yummy sweet n slightly tarty dressing and fries. We also had the Cajun wok plate with slaw, rice and extra $2 for picked daikon radish cubes. Absolutely delicious ! Thank you

They're only getting 2 stars because of inconsistency. Whoever was cooking the chicken on 10/26 at 3pm should ALWAYS cook the chicken!!! My last 4 orders had good flavor but were MUSHY. So mushy that the batter was sliding off the meat. I usually wait for the lunch rush to end before I order but maybe I'm getting old chicken they didn't sell at lunch and that's why it's so mushy. This order on 10/26 was exceptional. Yummy AND crunchy, with a nice delicate crunch.Unfortunately, this is the first time I've had it this good and crunchy and this is my 5th order. ...it's fried chicken...it's reasonable to expect fried chicken to be crispy

Ordered from here recently. The pros: The flavor on the Sweet and Spicy chicken is great. The crispy chicken sandwich and the spicy crispy chicken sandwich are also both very good.Cons: the half and half chicken seems like a way to sell scraps from the carcass. The majority of my box was fried sections of back and ribs with very little or no meat. There were about three pieces of chicken that had meat on them and they were tasty. This would have been great if I was looking to gnaw on some battered bones, unfortunately I was hungry. I would not order delivery from here again.

THIS PLACE IS SOOOOO GOOD AND DAVID IS SO NICE There isn't one thing bad about this place besides maybe the parking, but every time I've gone, I've gotten parking. I just have never gone during peak lunch or dinner time..

Typical Korean chain operation.Food is really good the garlic is literally mind boiling. So good. Sweet spicy delish just the right balance. Fries could have been hotter.The unexpected star was the slaw. So lite so refreshing. So tasty.Not fast.No ice for soft drinks. Parking is a little tight is a small strip mall.This is my kinda joint a semi hole in the wall but has a chain esthetic the server spoke little English we were left to our own devices.. there's a screen for ordering and paying at the door. It's cool..Get the slaw!

I recently visited Kokio Chicken, and unfortunately, my experience didn't quite live up to the expectations. The chicken, which should have been the star of the meal, was underwhelming. The flavor was just far from my expectations. The chicken was cripsy/juicy, but the flavors is what really let me down. The side of onion rings didn't fare much better; it was very doughy. On a positive note, the service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. However, given the quality of the food, I'm not sure I'd return. Hopefully, Kokio Chicken can improve on the sauces for their chicken.

Kokio Chicken is a Korean fried chicken restaurant located in Koreatown. There's a small parking lot in the front and limited indoor seating. You order at a kiosk and they bring the food out for you. Though you order on the kiosk, the service was great; the food came out fast and they even gave us extra chicken.FoodWe ordered the half and half sweet and spicy and garlic boneless for $35 and the honey rice cake and chicken for $18. The chicken had a bit of an apple-like aftertaste and the garlic was a bit too strong, but the chicken had a nice crunch and came with a lot. We loved the honey rice cake and chicken; the rice cake was soft on the inside and had a nice crunch on the outside while the chicken tenders were juicy and paired well with the honey. 8.5/10 Overall: their chicken was so crispy and juicy!! I usually try to avoid getting my Korean fried chicken boneless because it's usually dry but theirs was the literal opposite! Make sure to get their pickled beets, it paired so well with the chicken! Their service is top tier and the atmosphere is so relaxed and fun! Coming with a large group would be so much fun!Honey rice cakes and chicken $18: 5/5 I absolutely love honey flavored wings so these were def my favorite thing we got! The crispy rice cakes had the perfect crispy outer layer and chewy center and the fried chicken was cooked so perfectly. The honey sauce pulled everything together, I would definitely recommend getting this!!Half and half boneless wings (half original, half sweet and spicy) $24: 4/5 I usually like my fried chicken with a lot of sauce but their original blew me away. The batter is seasoned so well and the crunch was perfect! The sweet and spicy wasn't too spicy for me but was a bit spicy for my friend. This one was so saucy and I loved it!Half (5) garlic wings $9: 3.5/5 these are super garlicky! As a garlic lover, I really enjoyed them because the flavor wasn't at all artificial and was strong. The chicken pieces were also very meaty and large, something we don't see very often in this economy!Waffle fries $8: 5/5 so crispy and paired so well with the saucy wings! They were seasoned very well and you can't go wrong with getting these!I can't wait to come again soon :)

This was my first time trying Korean fried chicken and it was a wonderful experience. Service was some of the friendliest I had in Los Angeles, and the portions were large and filling. We ordered both regular and spicy tenders ($16 each) , and it came with cabbage coleslaw and 2 sauces, both of which were delicious. The sweet chili sauce with the spicy tenders was a great combination. They do not provide water, so you will need to either bring your own or buy a bottle of water. Drinks are not too expensive though. I hope to come back soon!

I love fried chicken, especially Korean fried chicken, because the crispy chicken is coated with even more delicious sauces. I got the honeybee sauce (which is like a sweet chili sauce), and after gobbling up all the fried chicken, could not wait to lick up all the remaining sauce on the plate. I am not a savage, I swear.
