Love Kazunori! I've never had to wait to eat at this location even on a Friday night. The staff provides quick and friendly service. My go-to is the 5 handroll set and adding unagi after. The toro is my favorite!

You have to park inside the parking structure connected to Kazunori. We got our menu's and sat down at any open seating. I ordered the 4 roll with Toro sashimi. The handrolls came out quickly and I was so full by the end of my lunch. The handrolls were great just wish the seaweed was more crispier but loved the hot rice - similar to sugarfish. Honestly, for the price this place is great to get a quick bite!

I usually get 6 rolls and sub the last 3 for salmon as I don't like scallop, lobster or crab hand rolls. I like how they dont question it unless it's when I ask for no sesame seeds but that's because they need to check if there are allergies involved. There's a little bag hanger under the table and you sit and food gets served in order. If your turn comes up and you haven't finished your roll yet, they will skip you and return when you are finished so they rolls stay fresh. The parking lot doesn't do validation.

This KazuNori is convenient to the theater district in DTLA. Here you will find their simple, high quality hand roll menu. I love this concept. Counter seating, friendly fast service and hand-rolls cranked out fast with crispy nori and generous fillings. Order off the combo menu or order individual rolls. I love their iced green tea and their soy sauce is delicious. This location is also right next to a parking garage for maximum convenience. We went to a show across the street at the Regent Theater so this was a perfect place for a pre show dinner. Highly recommend.

*4.5*Dropped by for a weekday lunch with a friend with lofty expectations due to KazuNori's reputation. I've only had their takeout maki box from a different location, so was fairly curious as to the in person handroll experience. It wasn't particularly busy, so we were seated at a corner of their bar-style arrangement within 5 minutes and made our meal selections (which we had hungrily preplanned). I opted for the 6-roll set ($28) while my friend had the 4 ($24). Their interior feels very casual when the sun is out, much more than I expected for my first time both at this location and dining in.I definitely wasn't particularly disappointed by my experience here, but I will say the only wow factor I felt during my visit was their shockingly affordable price point. Their fish quality is definitely on the higher end (toro, yellowtail, lobster were my personal favorites) and I love that their magically keep their nori crispy until it reaches my mouth, but my expectations were different for some reason (admittedly a me problem). They were also playing some pretty heavy dubstep on the restaurant speakers towards the end of our meal, which was kind of amusing but equally confusing. Nonetheless, I could see myself craving their handrolls in the near future and will most likely be back soon.

Love how fast it took for ordering 6 rolls. It was a casual bar experience and we were in and out under 45 minutes from the time it opened. Delicious hand rolls and a reasonable price!

Kazunori offers a unique dining experience, combining fresh delectable hand rolls with a casual ambiance as the chef prepares each roll in front of you. The restaurant offers solely bar seating, which can get quite packed during lunch or dinner, but it's worth the wait. Their 6 roll combo offers you a good sample of the variety they offer, and you can order individual pieces after the course (something i recommend, as the 6 roll didn't quite fill me up). Parking can be tough, but there are structures located adjacent to the restaurant. They're definitely worth a try if you're in the area!

The commitment to the craft of sushi making really stands out. The only problem is that it's so good it's hard yo know when to stop. Favorites were the eel, scallop, lobster and salmon. Would recommend 5 rolls so ypu can taste a variety.

Visited on a Saturday night. Luckily there was no wait. All the seating is at the counter. You sit very closely to other people. Once seated, you can order and start getting your food immediately. You are able to watch employees make the hand rolls. I tried 8 various hand rolls. All were delicious, but my favorites were the toro and crab hand rolls. Their sushi rice was nice and warm, while their fish was fresh and delectable. Saw a lot of people ordering the sashimi, so I plan to try that next time.

I have been to kazunori once before visiting LA with my sister. They have sinced opened up many different locations. I came to this one on my layover. I was starving and ended up ordering the 6 handroll option. I am a little disapointed this time because most of the options the last 3 because they were mayo based. Which I think if you add mayo to a mix makes it kinda cheap. Service was good and quick because you sit at the bar. The setting was nice too because it is off a pier but I didn't get the lux feel, it was pretty casual.I ended up ordering an additional handroll because the special was uni. And if you know me I LOVE uni! But it was lack luster barely any flavor and definitely not worth the ~20$ I paid for it. So if I were to come here again I would do maybe the 4 hand roll and not do any additional rolls. But then I feel like I would be hungry afterwards. I am such a fat ass lolI love the concept and sushi but I feel like I had a better experience at a different handroll bar in Houston.
