Joshua Camping Restaurant

I'd like to call this a hidden gem tucked away next to the grocery store. The parking is doable since it's in a big plaza but it might not be right in front of the restaurant. They have two types of dining experiences: one in the tent and the other is just normal tables under the Moon. I really love the interior of this place and it feels like you're being transported Joshua Tree. I think the tent experience is fun but it does get a little warm inside. You also use your phone to scan the QR code and you and the rest of your party can order what they want. It's very modern and efficient. The food was good and fun to eat inside of a tent with friends! Good Instagram spot as well!

Ever since I had lamb skewers from a friend I've been craving it since and this place is the place to get it!The restaurant is camping theme pretty fun and unique! There are your typical tables and some tables inside tents. Opt for inside the tent to get that camping experience, but it can only sit 4?You order through a barcode and you can get real crazy. We got lamb, beef, beef tendon, intestine, eggplant duckblood, spicy raw beef and golden bun. Every single skewer was amazing, you can definitely get unique dishes here that you can't get elsewhere. Highly recommend the eggplant it TONS of garlic butter flavor, duckblood is silky smooth with little szechuan numbing. Golden bun served with condense milk, crips yet fluffy in the inside. Spicy raw beef seems daunting but it is really good, i believe it was apple that makes it refreshing as well!Seems like all the protein skewers have the same type of season which i ain't complaining about.Really good place to satisfy your skewer cravings, and its a great place to hang out with friends. although it can get pricey. Highly recommend!

Joshua Camping Restaurant offers a unique dining experience but the food was a bit of a let down.I secured myself a spot on the waitlist through the Yelp app about 30 minutes before showing up on a Friday night. Once we arrived, the place was almost all full so seemed like a good idea. The front part of the restaurant is more like a typical bar, but as you go in, there are several cute tents with the fake moon hanging above. I was glad we were able to get a spot at the tent otherwise I am not sure it would have been worth visiting.In terms of food, the menu definitely has more of a bar vibe and the portion sizes are more snack like so if you are hungry, I would probably recommend ordering more. Lamb Skewers/Beef Skewers (3/5) These both came out the same time after ordering. They both have the same schezuan like seasoning to them that does make them super flavorful, but it kind of overpowered them so you couldn't tell the meats apart. Wouldn't mind getting these again but would try to pay attention to which was which.Golden Buns (4.5/5) Probably the one reason I would come back! These were surprisingly good. Baked with a nice golden exterior but fluffy and light in the middle. It comes with a simple dipping sauce that really elevates it. Cucumber salad (3.5/5) I did appreciate the spicy sauce that was a little bit sweet but standardThe ordering was all done on the phone which was pretty convenient! The service was okay, but understandably harder when there is a tent blocking the view! I also got a little annoyed that by the end it started to smell like someone was smoking cigarettes.Overall, I would say this a neat concept that I am glad I checked out, but would not have to come again. If I did, it would be for the Golden Buns!

Food was sooooo goooodddddd! The staff were really nice, after eating if you have wechat you can scan this thing and get a free cute light or towel.It is SO pretty inside its so pretty and confortable.

A very good BBQ skewers place!! The skewers are up to standard, nothing really outstanding, but the raw beef is so good, I can come back for that! They spent some thoughts on the decorations, very cozy camping feel, and not too crowded. Service is okay, a bit messy as food came in wrong a couple times ... Oh.. things are set to spicy automatically, so if you can't eat spicy, let them know right away...

I liked the camping concept here, it's so cozy & good vibes here! My group had a reservation so we were able to get a table under the tents. Ordering food was quick & easy (you just order from your phone on their virtual menu)! Service was good. All the skewers were seasoned nicely & I liked the scallops with vermicelli 5/5. The snails were a bit hard to eat 3/5. Clams were yummy. The cucumber salad was refreshing as well. Overall, a pretty satisfying meal & great atmosphere!

I really enjoy this place. It has a fun camp theme going on but not all tables are themed equally. The tables under the tents are more sought after.I come here for their cold noodles and their skewers. All their skewers are heavily seasoned which I like. Their skewers are all pretty good but I recommend the lamb skewers and pork belly. I would skip the squid. Their foil enoki is really good too.

I came with a high expectation of this place, looking at the rating on Yelp. To my dismay, it should be a red flag when I had dinner on Monday night, specially I was the first one at the restaurant at 5.15pm, they ran out of clam, corn and other dishes that I wanted to try. Got seated down right away and had to order everything from your phone. They don't have a physical menu. We ordered 9 different items. A few of the food, tornado potato and cold cucumber were pretty good. The rest was just mediocre and some dishes are so oily. The fan clam and eggplants, which are two different orders, yet both of them have the same exact flavor, garlicky and oily. The quality of the beef tendon and lamb are not bad. I'd give 3 stars. Overall the food just below par, all the skewers that we ordered and chicken wings, tastes the same and sake is way overpriced. As for the service, I don't really call them waitresses since they don't really serve our table, they just brought our food out, gave whatever we requested, extra napkins, etc and gave us check. They didn't really check our table regularly, but pretty attentive in cleaning our table when we have empty plates. Most of the time, we saw them by the counter, eating their food. Another interesting thingy is when they brought out the skewers, they didn't even put them on the plate, they just carried them around. Also, before our food came, they told us that IF WE GAVE THEM REVIEWS ON YELP, GOOGLE, ETC., they'll give us incentives. Hmmmmm made me think differently about the other reviews are saying. Overall, not a great experience and will not be back for sure.

Service was quick and everything unordered was delicious my favorites were the fan scallops and the cold Korean noodles very filling I love all of the decorations probably my new favorite place to eat bevy of the good food and wonderfulDecorations

敬生活裡的黯淡，也敬人生裡的燦爛，能幫你走出雨季的，從不是那把雨傘，而是那個不畏風雨的你，當你內心有足夠的勇氣時，外在才能變的更柔軟～因為只開晚上， 所以很晚才帶小孩來探這家最近小有名氣的烤串店，其實我們羅蘭崗， 新店開個不停， 不用到處亂跑，這裡新的， 舊的餐廳就吃不完了， Joshua , 露營計畫，東區吃串烤的店, 真的一大把， 這家要先抱怨， 串烤上來，通常盤子下面會有小火爐，才不會冷掉， 這店家沒有，這點小孩也是碎碎唸， 抱怨串串都冷了，除此之外，串烤的部分大部分都是好吃的，最好吃的是巧遇的朋友 Amni Hsu 介紹的土司，對，就是白土司這道值得你點，，干貝，炸雞翅，長沙臭豆腐，殼殼......我都非常喜歡，我覺得都比串串的部分更好吃， 但是蛋炒飯，那廚師真的要打屁股， 後面有照片，你們自己看就會了解，蛋炒飯不及格，不過，大致上， 食物算很不錯的，難怪昨天去是客滿的狀態， 我在 yelp 上訂位， 形同虛設， 這點也要小小抱怨一下，有訂等於沒訂， 小姐說， 訂位的資訊在老闆的手機裡（大概只有華人的餐廳會有這種現象）所以我們還是等40幾分鐘， 實在太不重視客人的感覺了
