The rigatoni 6 hour aged bolognese is fantastic! The pesto pasta is very nuanced and balanced. It's a must try imo Garlic bread was nice and lite (I added the Parmesan). I got two orders of it. I wish it was a little heavierThe wine is wonderful! I prefer the Rosé and Pinot Noir but I do wish they offered a Prosecco or Brut over a Chardonnay.Hostess and server were very friendly. They sat our reservation immediately and were politely attentive.Vibe was awesome. Loved the pizza boxes lining the walls and everyone living life. I will be back

Was a bit skeptical about Jon & Vinny's from the mixed reviews - but wow I think my friends and I found our new go-to spot in Brentwood. TLDR; come for amazing vibes and Italian food. Recs:- garlic bread (small, 1 person serving but amazing) - ham & eazy pizza (such a unique flavor! loved this one) - rigatoni pasta (great al dente texture, this was my favorite pasta) - pesto pasta (my friends really enjoyed this one) Service was good and vibes were amazing! Love the ambiance, great for a relaxing dinner or chill hangout with friends. Will be back to try more :)

Came to Jon & Vinny's for a date night and was pretty disappointed with the service and food quality. In the plainest terms, Jon & Vinny's is overpriced and overhyped. The service was not up-to-par. When first checking in, we were not acknowledged and the hostess felt very unhappy to be there. During the meal, the service was slow when we asked for something and we had a hard time locating our server. As for the food, we ordered the ordered the bucatini aglio e olio, spicy fusilli pasta, and the gem lettuce salad. Out of the three dishes, the gem lettuce salad was my favorite, which should say a lot about the main pasta dishes. The salad was fresh and I loved the kick of spice it had. The fusilli pasta was flavorful, but the pasta itself was slightly undercooked and the portion size was very small. On the other hand, the bucatini pasta had no flavor and felt like it was dowsed in oil. For the portion size you're getting and the overall service, their prices are definitely overpriced! Parking: Limited street parking.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and tried the food, which was good. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere. I asked the waiter for a menu recommendation, and he suggested the spicy Fusilli. The dish includes Fusilli, Vodka, Basil, and Parmesan, and he assured me it wasn't overly spicy. I found it to be satisfactory and not too spicy. The restaurant seems suitable for various occasions, like dates, meals with friends or family, or even eating alone. Parking can be challenging; there's a CVS across the street and some metered spaces nearby.

Loved the pasta! I usually like the cantaloupe + prosciutto combo but it wasn't that good at this location. The pizza was also okay in my opinion. I had some high expectations for a Michelin guide restaurant. However, service was great and our waitress did a great job explaining the menu. The restaurant was also dimly lit and nice ambiance. The music was a bit loud and hard to converse.

I'm going to be real: the food was pretty good, but it is most definitely not a bang for your buck. The vibes, on the other hand, amazing, superb even. If you were to imagine a stereotypical LA restaurant, Jon & Vinny's would make the cut. Patrons are basically the West LA population and the outdoor seating is vibey af. I recommend eating outside if you want to have an actual conversation with your party or date. Most dishes are vegetarian friendly and the salad selection is extensive. My friends and I ordered the Gem Lettuce Salad, which tasted like an elevated caesar salad. We also got the LA Woman Pizza, pesto pasta, and their ravioli. The LA Woman Pizza... it was like crack. The crust was thin, the tomato sauce delectable with a smidge of sweetness, and the burrata and basil toppings were chef's kiss. It's so basic but for some reason, probably hunger if I'm being honest, it hit the spot. The pesto pasta surprisingly carried a lot of umami. As a big Pesto Girl, I loved the herby, savory, and cheesy flavor from the sauce, which the pasta held onto well, according to my friends. Unfortunately, the ravioli did not carry the same wow factor. It looked like 5 measly raviolis drowning in tomato sauce. Nothing special. Disappointing, considering the price was hefty for what we received. The pesto pasta was also lacking in portions. To get the most value out of your experience, I suggest you do family style with your friends because this restaurant caters to the skinty, Pilates, Erewhon girl. And that is not me :( As for service, it was great! Our waitresses were so kind and gave us amazing recommendations. As much as I love their service though, it is not enough to justify a second visit. There are better Italian restaurants with a price value greater than Jon & Vinny's

I was honestly surprised at how long the wait was without a resy! ohh "LA"...excited to hear they're opening one in studio city, which will also be better because they'll have a full bar!I was a bit distracted by the coloring book placemats (I love to color), and our waiter Andres' beautiful accent. So much so that I didn't take enough pics, and I think my food got too cold where it wasn't as good but still pretty delicious! My friends and I ordered some pasta and then we shared a pizza. I originally thought we'd order personal pasta and then pizza to share but I guess not! Haha it was all good though. We wanted to celebrate with something sparkling so Andres had the sommelier come over to us and give us some options and they were just wonderful! We got a bottle of this delicious Italian sparkling that he mentioned was a hybrid(?) and got sad we finished it so quickly! Our friends ordered a small dessert and they comp'd us a cookie and some ice cream and I teased getting a candle since it was a celebration and Andres still brought it out! Hahahaha amazing man. My friend and I both wrote our numbers down on a napkin not realizing until later that he could've thought we wanted to be in a throuple LMAO. No, we just both shot our shot not knowing what his sexuality was because of course ...we're professionals not being professional in his place of work where he's professional. We had a good time!Oh and I forgot to mention that PLAYLIST THOUGH?! Idk who was in control of that but didn't seem like anyone was paying attention except our table who was jamming! 112 peaches & cream?! Beyoncé's partition. Thank you for fulfilling my throwback Thursday needs. Now will I be back?! Maybe..if I can stand to show my fave again LOL THANK YOU GOOD PEOPLE!

Phenomenally bad service that completely overshadowed the great food.As someone in the service industry, I rarely write bad reviews, but this was actually phenomenally bad. Came in for a 2:30 reservation on President's Day. We were sat promptly but without a word. A different server dropped off water, and then we were ignored for nearly 30 minutes. When our actual server finally arrived, he flatly asked, "Do you need anything or have you been helped?" No greeting, no introduction. We ordered everything at once--two drinks, two appetizers, two entrées.The issues:first round of drinks were dropped off with the check, after the meal. The drink I ordered incorrectly came with a "premium" milk I did not order. I was still upcharged. One of the drinks that was high time was literally just a soda. One appetizer never came. When I pointed it out at the end, the server just said, "Well, I rang it in." ... I mean, It was still on the check, but we never got it. No apologies, no attempt to make it right. Food came out cold, like no one bothered to run it. The check was dropped with the food we never got still on it, seconds after we finally received our drinks. No mention of dessert, an obvious rush to turn the table. The server disappeared like he didn't want to deal with it. After asking for a manager, another server simply removed items from the check--no manager ever came over. I suspect the person who finally dropped off my matcha was the manager, yet they said nothing. When the incorrect charges were brought up to the server, he brought over the corrected check, irritated. Again, I want to clarify, I didn't want anything comped. I just didn't want to pay for one appetizer that never came out, and for an up charge on a drink that came out incorrect and late. He shows me the corrected receipt and goes "see it's all off now". It genuinely started to feel personal. Another table, sat after us, was served and closed out in half the time. This wasn't a slammed restaurant--there were six tables and floating staff--but it was clear we were not a priority. Whether it was because we looked young (like UCLA students) or something else, it felt like we were dismissed as unimportant.Service like this does a huge disservice to both the staff and the genuinely great food. I wanted to like this place, but the experience was too unpleasant to return.
