the half and half is very filling - jjamppong has a nice spice kick (Shin Ramen Level), filled with a lot of seafood! the jjajjang was very tasty. this will now be my fav jjajjang&jjamppong place :) went during busy lunch hr - we ordered right when we got seated but it took about 20-25min workers were super friendly!

Came for lunch and left so full and satisfied! I got the jjajang-jjamppong combo, some dumplings and the sweet and sour pork. The jjajang tastes different from other spots in Ktown, so there's a uniqueness to it that I really liked, less salty than most, with plenty of grilled onions and black bean sauce. The jjamppong had too many mussels for my taste, but the broth was great and there were lots of veggies. The dumplings were perfectly fried and the sweet and sour pork was well done!Service is great, and the food is great! I'll definitely be back for more!!

Stopped by here on a Tuesday evening and it was not too busy. We got the sweet and sour pork and half and half jajangmyeon and jjamppong. The pork was a 7/10, not the best I've had, perhaps a little too tangy for my taste. Jajangmyeon was delicious and the jjamppong a little too spicy for my taste but my bf enjoyed it. We ordered extra noodles for $3 which was nice to finish up the extra sauce and soup. There is also unlimited rice! Service is pretty good although they weren't too busy and you order off the iPad yourself. The restaurant is clean and homey. Would come back to try the rice and dumplings but the menu is quite limited. Side note: I did ask to use the bathroom a while ago when I didn't come in as a customer and they didn't allow me to but that's understandable

Jjampong Zizon was mentioned on Eater magazine when it opened in Koreatown. Apparently it's a Korean chain for jjampong and jajangmyeon. One of our friends recommended Jjampong Zizon, so we decided to try it for dinner. It has a fast casual type of restaurant environment. The restaurant was not too busy and we were seated quickly. Service was ok. Sometimes the servers were a bit rude but that can happen with fast casual establishments. We were given complimentary pickles and bottled water to start with. We ended up ordering a jjampong, a combo of jajangmyeon and jjampong, and crab fried rice which came with black bean sauce. The jjampong was too spicy for me. The jajangmyeon was solid, but not mind blowing. The crab fried rice was good and went well with the black bean sauce. The price tag was quite excessive for the small portions, maybe about $18 per entree. There are definitely restaurants in Koreatown that are cheaper, serve larger portions, and are just as tasty. Still, Jjampong Zizon's flavors are solid.

After a long day, I really needed some comfort food. Luckily I remembered Jjamppong Zizon was just a 10 minute drive from my hotel. With an $8.99 Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) price tag and being one of the newer Korean Chinese restaurants on the block, I've been really wanting to check it out.The inside is spacious and brightly lit. For aesthetics, it has a simple and clean white wall, brick pillar, and wooden panel finish. While service was friendly, I felt they could use another server or two because it took a minute for me to grab someone's attention to get seated and then place an order.FOOD:They offer 2 banchan (sides) with your order - danmuji (pickled radish) and some diced up kimchi. I like the flavor profile and build of their Jajangmyeon ($8.99). It comes loaded with chunks of meat and assorted veggies (onions, cucumbers, peas, etc.). I think what I enjoyed most is that it struck a right balance between the amount of sweetness in the sauce and veggies with the more savory elements within the rest of the black bean sauce, meat, etc. The noodles had a great chewy, springy body to each bite.I wanted a bit of variety, so I also added a side order of their "Sichuan style" sweet and sour pork) for $17 (small size). Be aware, since they prepare this dish as each order is received, you'll need to wait at least 20-25 minutes for it to come out (my black bean noodles came out about 5 minutes after I ordered). The mix of tangy sweetness of the onions and sauce with the nuttiness of the peanuts works well with the black bean noodles. Since they use a rice batter for the coating, it had a slightly more chewy, glutinous mouth feel. Overall, they have a great take on Korean Chinese food.

We stopped by for lunch and ordered the jjajangmyeon and the original tangsuyuk. The freshly hand-pulled noodles in the jjajangmyeon had a nice, chewy texture, but the sauce itself was fairly average. The tangsuyuk arrived hot, but instead of the crispiness I expected, it had a softer breading. While the jjajangmyeon was pretty good--especially at the current $8.99 special--I've definitely had better tangsuyuk elsewhere. For convenience, there's a covered parking lot behind the restaurant, shared with other businesses, which costs $3 with validation.

Just discovered what jjampong is through this place and my boyfriend is obsessed! He says it's the best spicy seafood soup he's ever had. Super hearty and flavorful. I also enjoyed their Jjajang noodles and rice dishes. The black bean sauce was incredible! We also tried their potstickers which were tasty too. I loved how they give you bibs and hair ties at the table so you can stay clean! So considerate!

Thought I'd come and see what the hype is about. And let me say that the hype is real! Probably one of the best jjajangmyeon I had in the US. Very close the taste in Korea! What stood out to me was the texture of the noodles, how the sauce stayed on the noodles, and potato's in the jjajangmyeon?! Feel like that's what the sauce nice and thick. Overall great place and bang for your buck. The servers were super nice and super attentive. Made the dining experience that much better

Jjamppong Zizon is a new Korean/Chinese restaurant in Ktown that serves some delicious comfort food without all the grease.Jjajangmyun - the noodles were handmade and so chewy! I loved the black bean sauce for its tastiness without greasy heaving feeling. I think I've found one of my favorite spots for this dish.Sweet and Sour Pork - it was lightly crispy on the edges and chewy due to the rice flour. Absolute perfection. It came with a side of thinly sliced onions and the sauce served on the side. Everything complemented so well. The sauce wasn't as dank as other places but I liked the mild flavor and lighter feeling.Pan Fried Dumplings were fantastic. Fried to crispy perfection.Parking: Flat fee on Saturdays and Sundays $5 in the parking lot behind the restaurant. It says $3 with validation but the machine still charged $5. At the time of the review.

came here two different times with my coworkerstheir half-half $20 combo is such a good deal. the portions are filling and the jjamppong (comes with a kiddy bowl of rice) and jjajangmyun is solid. Their tang soo yook (the fried sweet and sour meat) is also really good.small detail but their pickled radish is imported from korea and it's always a delightful surprisethe place is huge, clean, food prep is fast, food is good, service isn't exceptional but also not bad.
