I loveee this place it's one of my favorite Chinese places to eat. Ordered the braised pork belly, dongpo rou, scallion pancake, tofu, chow mein, and pan fried buns.Every dish was delicious except the pan fried buns? The buns were too soft and didn't have the crispy bottom. Their dim sum dishes could probably use some work because I felt the same about the XLB too. All other dishes are well-executed!

this place had great authentic food!5/5- the biggest fave in the table was surprisingly actually the scallion pancakes they were fried and had such a nice chewy texture that had a lot of flavor and paired so well with dishes. whereas most places its more doughy and blandthe bean curd, rice cake in the crab dish, and pork belly were the highlightsall the other dishes were good too but you could skip if needed. particularly felt the shanghai noodles weren't as good as the other dishes or other shanghai noodles ive had at other places. but still good overalloverall a great place to have a large family get together

Food was authentically good. We came here on a Friday night and the restaurant was filled but not packed. Sufficient parking on the side lot. Service was attentive and food came out quickly. No complaints at all on the flavors. Portion may be a bit smaller than comparable restaurants in this area in the same price point.

Came here on a Friday for lunch and didn't have to wait too long to get seated. Most of the food is Shanghainese style, though I love the variety of the menu. We had the kung pao chicken, Shanghainese style noodles, and the supreme meatball. The noodles and chicken were good, flavorful and with good quantity too. Was not a fan of the supreme meatball however, I don't know if it's star anise or what kind of spice, but it had too sweet of a taste in the sauce and within the meat. I would come again to try the rest of their menu, there are a lot more options than what we were able to try.

Superb food and service, elegant dining room. The dishes are classic Shanghainese: lion's head meatball, rice cake, seaweed fish, tea smoke duck. Favorite was the seaweed fish (5 stars), lightly battered and fried to crispy perfection; make sure you add a sprinkle of pepper salt to kick it up a notch. The other dishes are solid 4 stars. I wish the duck was de-boned, more tender, and easier to make into a sandwich -- it was the most expensive dish ($33) as well as my least favorite. Did I mention the service was superb? Our server was very patient and helpful in explaining the dishes to my friends who knew zilch about Shanghainese food. All in all, we loved our lunch, even the messy-to-make smoked duck sandwich.

Not sure if it's because we came close to Thanksgiving, but unfortunately, there were quite a few mishaps that led me to marking this a 3/5 overall. We got seated relatively fast, but everything beyond that was terribly slow. I think we waited about 1.5 hours until our first food arrived - and then 15-30 min intervals for every dish following that. We tried asking about our food whereabouts, only to be met with a dismissive waitress who basically ignored us. Other tables that arrived and ordered after us somehow got the same dish we ordered before us - we assumed they had forgotten our orders at some point. There was one lovely waitress, so she was kind to get the ball rolling for us more. The food itself was okay. The flavors weren't that strong except for the eggplant dish. Some of the food arrived cold, which I was not very pleased with. The interior is nice and clean. It did feel a bit tight though.

I recently visited Jiang Nan Spring and tried several dishes: Shanghai rice cake, beef roll, Sichuan boiled fish with pork intestine, Shanghai baby ribs, seaweed fried fish, and bamboo shoot soup with pickled pork. The beef roll was absolutely delicious, easily the highlight of the meal. The Shanghai baby ribs were also very flavorful and tender, while the seaweed fried fish was perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. However, the bamboo shoot soup was underwhelming--the bamboo had a strange, plastic-like taste, which was disappointing. On the plus side, the restaurant is clean, and the service was excellent--attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a good dining experience, but I'd probably skip the bamboo soup next time.

Portions are on the small side. Fried fish filet dish was fantastic. Must sprinkle the pepper shaker on top for that punch. The big ol lobster dish kinda fell flat as the sauce didn't bring much flavor to the dish. Staff was friendly and spoke decent English. Parking in the back
