I went of dinner and seated myself at the bar. I love bar seating, especially for quicker service. As I looked over their menu, it looked very familiar. It reminded me of Houston's, Honor Bar, Hillstones' menu as well as the ambiance, so I asked my waiter. He mentioned J Nichols is an independent/family owned business. Since the items on the menu were also very similar to the above mentioned establishments I know the fried chicken is so I went with that. It's slightly different but nonetheless still really good. Portions are reasonable. And the price is good. Staff were very attentive, quality of food was amazing and overall enjoyed myself. I have to come back and try other dishes.

Came here on a Friday night with my husband and 3 year old. I'm a sucker for anywhere that takes open table reservations these days so we don't have to wait for a table with the kid. The restaurant was full so definitely plan ahead. We got the sticky wings to start which were charred and had a honey type of glaze on top. Then I put the kids cheeseburger order in so it comes out first. It was the size of an adult meal, I couldn't believe how big the burger was but I There's pretty much one of everything on the menu so it should be easy for everyone to find something. I had a hard time making a final decision. would hope so for the price. For entrees I got the Reuben and my husband got the chicken parm. We both really enjoyed our meals and the portions were huge. The beer/wine menu had a decent selection but nothing crazy fancy. We'll definitely be back when we want to grab a nice dinner after a long week at work.

J Nichols is now my favorite upscale coffee shop in town. I refused to go there for some time because they were needlessly using their handicapped spots for outdoor seating and that is not okay. Now they have taken them down as they should have a long time ago. We are back and the food is better than ever.They used to be pretty pricey, but the area has caught up to them and now they are the same as most excellent coffee shops. I find the prices to now be fair.They have a great selection. We love their hand made burgers that are cooked just the way you want them. Their fries are the bomb. All of their sandwiches are good. My husband love their Ruben sandwiches and they make the meat there. All of their breakfast items are outstanding and they have great coffee.Even their ice tea is great. We love it all and will be back again and again. The service is just perfect. Our server was the best. Have a great time.

J Nichols is a great place to eat! I haven't eaten at the actual restaurant so I can't speak to service or ambiance. But ordering from them was a great experience. You can't go wrong with their Turkey Club sandwich--so good! Their portions are huge which mostly makes up for the hefty price tag. Overall, I'd say it's worth the money for a solid sandwich.

Fantastic Brunch spot for the whole family! Their menu is extensive, satisfying whatever cravings you may have, including a breakfast menu that's served until 2pm every day! We made a reservation 15 minutes ahead via Yelp for 2 on a Sunday around 12:30pm and were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server got our drink orders in quickly and refilled our water through out without skipping a beat. The Mocha Iced Coffee was not overly sweet in a good way and gave the right amount of energy. Now the food... heavenly! The Pork and Pancakes were very heavy, but absolutely delicious. The perfect balance of sweet, savory, meaty and saucy. Honestly the pancakes alone are worth ordering. The California Omelet was tasty as well and the hash browns were crispy on the outside, yet fluffy on the inside. Everything was seasoned and cooked well. *chefs kiss*I liked how approachable, yet upscale the restaurant felt. You can show up in jeans and a t-shirt to enjoy a hardy and affordable meal, or in a fancy dress to sip wine at the bar and eat snacks. There's plenty of free and easy parking in the lot as well, so overall a great spot for any occasion!

Never been to Nichol's. Hadn't really heard about it. And I've been nearby more times than I can count. However, one night, a friend suggested it and since I didn't feel like driving far ... Another thing I appreciated, was easy parking. In a shopping plaza, hug parking lot with free parking. It's something that sticks out for me when going out in LA. Easy and or free parking. Walked in, greeted immediately. Efficient and friendly staff. Even as my friend and I just hung out after the meal, staff was attentive, offering refills and just checking on us. Food was simple and good. See pics. One dish, my salad - was missed but immediately fixed. The staff apologized which I appreciate though not really necessary as we're all human. Bringing that up as I've had encounters where staff accused me of not ordering something. I liked the vibe. The booths were comfortable and I noticed a bar where you know I'll be when I'm early and waiting for friends or family to show up the next time I'm here.

Went in Sunday around 10 before the brunch not to busy and great service and has the waffles they were perfect . Lots of room in between tables makes it more comfortable feel. Plenty of parking options .
