Hugo's, thanks for the service, the kindness, the food elevations, the ambiance and so many years.Located on the cusp of Sherman Oaks, bordering Valley Village and outer Studio City, this Coldwater Canyon adjacent (one of two locations) restaurant resides on Riverside Drive across from the Mariposa Hotel and neighbors Whole Foods, Hugo's Tacos and several local businesses and residences, making it feel like a slice of home. I've been coming to Hugo's - Studio Oaks (Studio City + Sherman Oaks) or rather Sherman Village (Sherman Oaks + Valley Village) on and off for the last ten plus years or so. It's cozy inside charm and outdoor patio (added on during the last five years) have set the mood for some great experiences and meals with many for me including a pretty cool birthday brunch with some choice friends/chosen family. I knew we'd be a group of at least ten or more so I wanted to make a reservation online (they use OpenTable), but for parties larger than four it's best to call in and with some notice (I gave a little over a week). One of my favorite things about Hugo's is how they accommodate a variety of foodie preferences, restrictions and/or allergens. From vegetarian to vegan to gluten free and more, Hugo's is here to serve #ConsciouslyDeliciousI recommended the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast to my friend Fabrice, the only other vegan in my party and he loved them! I went with the vegan version of the Chilaquiles (the best I've had at Hugo's to date) and my friend Barrak had the classic version. Among our group it was a brunch smorgasburg of so many things from pancakes to eggy dishes like the Huevos Rancheros, Breakfast scramble and so forth. Beverages followed the same suite with fresh hot coffee, juice, soft drinks, teas, waters and adult beverages.... Mimosas, including bottomless mimosas were had!Having enjoy meals and beverages at all times of day here, for so long - I have to say I'm proud of how they've continued to grow, thrive and improve.Happy Hour specials as well as monthly menu item specials like their breakfast salad, shepherd's pie (can be made vegan and/or gluten free) and baked apple crumble are so many choice things to check out and enjoy. They have private parking in their lot, but it does fill up quite fast for breakfast and brunch on weekends. Street parking is ample, though may be a journey. Well worth it!Easy + super clean restrooms. Free wi-fi. Pup/pet friendly. Family friendly. All welcoming.

My family has been going to Hugo's as long as I can remember and is always fantastic. Love the pasta papa or the chicken club sandwich. I also have a close friend with Celiac disease and it's so nice to be able to eat at Hugo's and feel confident she won't get sick. Not only do they have a ton of options for her, but they clearly take protocol seriously. The back patio is lovely and great if you have a well behaved dog. So happy this place is still around and doing well!

Good food! This time I got the Vegan Spicy Chicken Sandwich which I found to be excellent! The chickpea, cauliflower and tofu patty was really good, and the aioli and slaw improved it! The fries were middle of the road, but are safe for those who are severely sensitive to gluten (no shared fryer with gluten) which is great. In the past I got the Pasta Mama which I found to be quite dry but otherwise good.

The food here is great. They have a large variety on their menu, there's something for everyone. I've really enjoyed their pastas and salads, made to order quickly. Service is always friendly, portions are generous. Great option if you're looking for a casual and delicious meal in the area.

This place is a dream. Service was quick, and searing on the patio was cute and quiet.I can't believe the food-everything had a gf option which thrilled my gluten sensitive heart. The star of the show was the upsidedown peach pancake, sweet and sponge, generously dotted with sliced peaches and cream.I love the option to make eggs benedict with potato cakes. Everything was great, I want to go back.

That place is the bomb: I have been going down since many yearsMy favorite dish is their "very green casserole": it has a quinoa party broccolini tomato sauce and I usually get the vegan mozzarella au gratinI also had the Bruno breakfast, which was excellent as well and our company it with a butternut squash soup cupAll their dishes are very tasty and healthy Sometimes I go to the one in West Hollywood as well and it is as equally good The ambience is awesome too

After being away for 12 years, came to Hugos to reconnect with a friend. Definitely gotta come back to try everything on the menu. From first glance on their specials, I was immediately drawn to their salmon hash, side of fruit and avocado charge. Friend ordered their turkey chili. Matcha and Chai latte indicated in photos too. Parking is street or lot but can be busy si I would suggest circling the block ever so often to snap a spot in the lot.Total for all the vegan/gf food $60ish

Stopped by for breakfast while on a road trip and visiting family. A great number of Gluten Free options for family members with celiac. We chose to sit outside on the patio due to having a dog with us. They brought out a small water dish which was so nice. Friendly service, though slightly slower than I'd like, but probably due to being outside. I had the huevos ranchero with fruit cup as my side. Overall tasty and satisfying. They said over medium on the eggs, but they were over easy. The black beans were a bit hard, so could improve there. Others in my party were satisfied with their items. The cinnamon french toast is good, but very sweet. Overall, a pretty decent place to grab a bite to eat and I'd probably come again if and when I'm in the area.

I've visited this location a few times per year over the last twenty years. I stopped off yesterday (Tuesday) at around 5:00 with two friends. I am always impressed by their menu. They have a wide assortment of choices. Not quite as vast as a Cheesecake Factory's menu but pretty close. They also seem to be more health focused than your average restaurant. Service was great. Food was good but a bit pricey. Overall rating Location BVenue/Decor BMenu Options A-Food taste BService A Value C+Overall B - 4 stars
